Great location, easy to find and park, friendly welcome. USB ports in the room, which was large and spacious. Nice bedding. Good choice of teas & nice to have coffee bags instead of instant coffee. Shower room well-equipped. Lovely sourdough toast for breakfast.

Great stay

Lovely Georgian house in a great, quiet location with free on street parking. Very comfy double bed. Warm welcome from a great host and lots of useful advice on the area. 20mins walk to Lark Lane for great choice of places to eat.

There’s no TV but that didn’t bother us.

Lovely individual hotel.

A lovely individual hotel with good bus access to the city centre. We could park right outside. Our host was friendly and informative, the breakfast was excellent. The shower was strong and hot.

Our bed head banged against the wall every time we moved which kept us awake. This was a shame as otherwise the hotel would have been perfect. Not withstanding that, we would stay there again but would ask for a different room.

Lovely host, that personally provided an excellent breakfast that exceeded all our expectations. Very spacious and clean room, which included good tea, coffee and water. For the price we paid, this was a total bargain. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends when they ask me about Liverpool.

From the advert I was under the impression that there would be a private or allocated car park space for us to use. The parking is actually in the street, but it wasn't a problem as we always found a space when we needed, close to the house. Don't let this put you off, though, it all worked well in the end.

Lovely house, friendly staff and very clean

John was extremely welcoming and we enjoyed his stories. The house is clean and has lots of original features which are lovely.

The bed was very soft and creepy whenever you moved. The bedroom above us was very noisy which meant we didn't get the best sleep.

Everything was spot-on.

Spacious room, tasteful vintage furniture, amenities, soigné tea and coffee. Breakfast was terrific in both meals and on elegant plates and cutlery. Owners are kind, refined and flexible. We would like to return here again in future.

Nice and friendly, clean and comfortable small quality Hotel

Lovely classic building over 3 stories in very quiet location. Extremely well presented with all you would ever need. Very friendly owners who explained everything you needed to know locally. Nice light breakfast in beautiful dining room. Room well equipped with some nice touches such as robe and slippers

It's a long walk back from city centre and uphill all the way. Taxi next time!

Such a pleasure to stay somewhere so comfortable and non-corporate. Close to Sefton Park and Lark Lane and not at all far from city centre.

Great 2 nights stay

We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Square Tree house hotel. Situated in a great location, just minutes from Princes park and about 30 mins walk to the Liverpool cathedral. The room was big, clean and comfy and the breakfast options were great! John's a great host. I needed to access the room for 1pm and John was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend and would definitely like to stay here again.

A great homely alternative to staying in the typical Liverpool hotels.

Lovely guesthouse, very clean and comfortable. John is a very thorough host. We were only there briefly for a night but a great stop on the right side of town for us, and a very nice breakfast too. The bathroom was particularly nice and well equipped.

Overall a pleasant stay thank you

Characterful house and exceptionally clean. Quality of bedding and towels was excellent. Great view across to the cathedrals. Easy access for us to the parks; free on road parking.

Not that we didn’t like just could have been a little more choice and availability on the breakfast (cereals, cheeses, choice of juice etc) Didn’t receive fresh cups or water for 2nd night, although the bathroom was freshened up.

Unusual, boutique hotel, stylish and clean.

Lovely stylish hotel, unusual, quirky. A friendly and knowledgeable host. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything thought about. The bathroom was lovely, clean and with lots of extra thoughtful details. Hotel was a lovely old building, quiet area but very close to the centre of the city. Thank you for having us.

Quiet Location

Square Tree House is comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast is good. It is within walking distance to Princes Park and the vibrant Lark Lane. A bus stop is close by to enable visits to the city centre. The host, John, is very knowledgeable and is eager to give information, which was very helpful.

Breakfast was fine...we knew what was available. Room was very comfortable, clean & spacious. Bathroom had a bath shower wasn't ideal.

Excellent sleep

Wonderful stay with an excellent host. Although we arrived much later than anticipated, John called us to find out if everything was ok & were we still coming, he had everything set up for us for a late self check-in. Breakfast was good, John chatted to us the entire time sharing his wonderful knowledge, funny stories he is such a charming man. The area is quiet, our room was huge overlooking the main street. Easy to get into the city centre & nearby Lark lane.

A truly fantastic experience

The weather was exceptional. We enjoyed some relaxation time in Princes Park just a few meters away from Square Tree House B&B and also the city life with frequent cheap bus routes. Attending Liverpool derby match was something out of this world. Will surely revisit.
