The staff were very friendly and very helpful.

The water from the shower ran very hot and then cold.

Lovely stay in a very quiet place with lots of trees and walks. Yet 2 miles form the city centre.

Lovely building close to lots of lovely places to eat in Larks Lane. John in particular was very attentive.

Only thing we didn't like was that we mentioned that the extension cable in our room was faulty and it wasn't replaced for our second night.

Short and sweet, can’t wait to return . Very relaxing stay in a gorgeous boutique hotel.

Perfect location - Sefton park was literally on my doorstep! The inside and out has wonderful character too. Staff were very friendly and helpful . Tea and coffee were well stocked and very nice. Nice big room and it was nice to have an en-suite . Came for a wedding at Palm House and it was the perfect place for it! Thank you to all the staff!

Room had just been painted so smell of paint. Booked as double room but barely large enough for a double bed. En-suite so small that hand basin was at the bottom of the bed,. No room to put clothes, just a hanging rail next to tiny coffee making facility. No toilet brush in bathroom, nowhere to place soap in shower …to flush against side wall so you needed to be contortionist to watch it

Great staff who deserve better from a hotel that promised so much but failed to meet expectation

breakfast was very good and plentiful with the exception of the vacuum flask tea

The yellow and black hazard tape in one corner of the bathroom. the phone charger that doesn't work, but most annoying was the VERY LOUD horrendous drum & bass noise from the room below us on the first night, it continued until midnight., which at least the hotel apologised for.

The location of the hotel was excellent, opposite the late in the beautiful Sefton Park. All of the staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Althought I had a bad experience with noisy neighbours the staff were helpful and apologetic

Thin walls had to move rooms at 3am due to noisy neighbours and was moved to room with leak in bathroom I had to get mop from reception and mop it up at 3am

Steer clear if you have accessibility issues as no ramps or lifts. Clean but overall disappointing.

Chose hotel based on location for the proximity to the wedding venue I was due to attend. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't include breakfast in my stay so can't comment on that.

The overall standard of the hotel was not what you'd expect for the location. Although grand on the outside, there was much that was sub standard indoors e.g. very small room for a double, uncomfortable bed, door handle dropping off, very sticky door lock, no locks on the window and very cheap stick on tiling in bathroom with a plastic shower cubicle. Also, although clean, the whole room including ensuite was filled with the smell of bleach. Not the most welcoming scent. Biggest bugbear - the hotel is not fully accessible which isn't made clear on the website; including a flight of stairs to the hotel entrance, no ramp, and no lifts inside to reach upper floors.

Hotel is in a great location and a grand old house. Staff are good. Room was a good size.

The room was warm and no way of cooling, couldn't crack the window open. The bathroom was small and a bit worn out. Needed a refresh. Lock was broken, holes in the wall, decor needed redoing, but it was clean and functional.

Lovely setting, beautiful building, with a well stocked bar. If the weather had been better it would have been nice to sit outside watching the sun set over the park.

Fantastic second stay, great renovation, breakfast, staff and location

This is the second time we have stayed at Sefton Park and was amazing at how much work has been put into renovations. The artworks from Stuart Sutcliffe was a real bonus. Also - the VEGAN breakfast that included fresh avocado! ALL the staff were lovely and helpful. The park opposite is great for a gentle stroll round too. We'll stay here again when we next visit family in Liverpool

Lovely staff made us immediately welcome. The decor is tasteful and the room comfortable. Parking was easy, and breakfast was good. A nice bar area too. We'd certainly stay there again.
