No consistency in staff members. Noise of the couple was scary. Called a liar not great. Will not recommend or go back t

It was somewhere to sleep

The staff were rude. Called me a liar for saying I booked early check in especially when I even showed them proof. A couple came back to the room all drunk and happy and then few mins later shouting and things being thrown. Went to complain the staff member did come up but only knocked on door and asked if all ok and then walked away.

Was a good place clean and new staff were nice

Being charged £8 from mini bar when I didn't have anything, rang hotel up they said they'd look into it . Also £100 pending on my credit card week after staying there. Be using booking .com for years 1st time been charged for something I didn't have

I've stayed here a few times now and find it perfect in terms of location, cost and amenities. The staff are always lovely and incredibly helpful, the rooms are compact but comfortable and function really well, and the check-in/check-out process is never any fuss. I always look forward to visiting and will be back gain sometime toon.

Friendly staff and a comfortable place to stay.

The hotel was in the perfect location for me, as I was visiting my son. The "snug" room that I booked was absolutely fine for my overnight stay and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and the optional mini-bar was a nice addition. I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay if I needed another overnight visit.

It would have been nice to have had breakfast as an option and although there was a mention of it in the hotel information, I wasn't entirely sure how to book it once reception had closed. It did not affect my stay and it would not stop me from staying again.

Shame about the decor.

Lovely friendly staff, also felt very safe coming back late at night, as a friendly but capable bloke was keeping an eye on things. Clean, nice bathroom with thick towels, comfy bed, well stocked reasonably priced mini bar and plenty of complimentary tea and coffee.

The dark paint colours, everywhere! Black corridors and a dark, dark blue room. I'm all for a feature wall, but when it's on all four walls and the ceiling, it turns a perfectly comfy room into a creepy, gloomy cave, that we were rather glad to get out of. Not helped by the wall art, prisoner mug-shots, why?! I accept it's a personal taste thing, and the quirky furniture was fun, but I wouldn't stay again unless the new owners break out a bit of greige paint!!

Great property which with a few tweaks could be excellent

Very clean, well maintained property with comfy bed, great shower and decent sized room, lots of bars restaurants within walking distance , nice friendly staff and door entry system worked well

Room temp is controlled by reception and you have to email them to adjust, which they did promptly but it’s not ideal. Don’t agree with taking £100 (refundable) from my debit card in case of damage. Maybe justified for Stag/Hen parties but not pensioners. Found it inconvenient that check-out was super early at 10.00am but no facility to leave luggage for those of us travelling home later in day by train.

Amazing

The snug was literally snug, modern urban rooms. Staff was so so so nice and made the stay, literally couldn’t of done more for us, will 100% be back. Bed was super comfy and location more than ideal.

Beautiful clean room, bed was incredible , shower was great Everything in the room I couldn’t fault The staff where incredible especially Rachel at reception Never in my life have I dealt with such a great friendly hotel team Member Also great snacks in fridge and reasonably priced

You need to somehow sound proof those doors Even put some draft excluders on the door to muffle some Of the sound I felt like I was in the room With the other visitors Screaming baby felt like it was in the room With me Also took a few mins to figure out the blinds But I guess that’s my issue lol

Amazing staff and a comfortable stay

The staff were absolutely amazing. A huge credit to the business and a special mention to Kerry for going above and beyond. The room was comfortable and spotless and the mini bar even though we didn't use it is a nice touch.

If I had to say any negative it would be that the heating or air-conditioning cannot be controlled from the room.

Perfect for a drop and go visit. Great location, compact but comfortable rooms, lovely staff.

I've stayed a few times previously and it has always been great. The staff are lovely, and whilst the rooms are compact they're perfect for me as I tend to drop and go given the excellent location. The team on reception were busy but went out of their way to help me check in quickly whilst dealing with a large group who'd also just arrived. The room was really good value and I'll definitely be back in the future.

I would have liked a glass in the bathroom and a towel rack. I think the crisps were too expensive at £2 a packet and I also think £185 for a room was too expensive. There was a stain on the runner across the bed

First of all there was no breakfast available ??? You took £100.00 deposit and staff told me it was to cover the mini bat .. the mini bar fridge was completely empty???

You advertised a room that was too small for the ?? I am less than 6 ft tall and my feet were sticking out of the bed . Q: is it a child’s bed ?? *No breakfast option * bed to small * my deposit of £100.00 was taken immediately but took 10 days to be returned and I had to phone up several times to get it released. * I arrived at 3-15 am in the morning but had to vacate by 10-00 am . With no leeway? I can’t even ld have stayed at a travel lodge for almost half the cost …. Never again 😤

The hotel was clean and in a good location. The staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel itself was modern and well furnished.

Not a good night sleep due to noise. You can hear everything in the hallway / neighbouring rooms very clearly which was the problem - with people coming back to their rooms at all hours letting their doors slam repeatedly, talking in the hallway etc. Rooms could do with more sound insulation or room doors should be soft close!

Terrible noisy stay. Avoid.

Bed was comfortable, location was good.

Too noisy. Walls were paper thin and you could hear people in other rooms and in halls arguing all night. The room I stayed in was supposed to be a delux room but it felt anything but. Aside from the other patrons you could hear the rain running in the drains outside non stop and the sound of the rain against the window was unbelievably loud and constant. Whatever type of windows they have are not fit for purpose. It was so bad I got no sleep whatsoever and filmed it to show staff next day who just shrugged their shoulders. I would never stay again and would advise anyone considering booking here to book elsewhere.

Great value for money for a central location!

The bed was super comfy and the whole room was spotless. The bathroom was great and the shower was really powerful which I love! The staff were really friendly too, didn’t have to wait for anybody at reception there was always someone to help straight away

I would’ve preferred not to stay in a basement room but this was the only room left. The room was very dark and street traffic could be heard all night no matter what hour of the night it was.
