Renshaw guest house was very central. Close to Lime Street Station and on a street with plenty of places to eat and drink. The room was fine. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was good with a good shower. You had to call when you get there so someone comes and lets you in. I got shown to my room and the keys were explained to me. The person was friendly and polite.
The blinds in the room didn’t cover the whole window but it made no difference as the window didn’t face anything.

Good location, they also allowed me to enter and hour before official check in time which was big bonus for me.
I would come back again in this place in a future.

Nothing really. v poor and v expensive.
Nothing, very overpriced. no TV in room, bed horrible - mattress was lumpy and looked like it should be on a skip, green light on ceiling which you couldn't turn off. staff pretty much none existent. no tea or coffee making facilities in room and no milk in the kitchen area. very sparse, reminded me of a student accommodation which had been badly neglected. Did not feel particularly safe in event of fire. would not stay there again, even if it was free.

Location was great, and good price to get your own private bathroom.
There was a lock on the outside door, that sounded very loud.

The hotel wasn't far from the gig I was attending. I actually quite liked that it was ordinary keys to open the room doors.
Rather than just being able to enter the building, I had to telephone someone from outside the accommodation to get them to let me in. The Renshaw Guest.House is located on a busy road, so hearing what was being said to me was extremely difficult. On being let in, I was then handed a fob thing which opened the doors, (this didn't always work first or even second time of using it). There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, there was, (I found out later, when ready for leaving, but wasn't actually told about it) a kitchen area where I could have made myself a coffee or tea. There was nobody on reception ( neither at night nor when I left in the morning) if you needed help with anything...tough luck. I paid over £90 for this room, I took it out of desperation because I was attending a gig with a friend. She was originally hoping to be staying with me in a hotel but wasn't sure if circumstances would let her, it turned out she couldn't stay over so, it had been left a little late for me booking accommodation and after browsing, and trying a number of other hotels and on checking finding them booked up for that night, Renshaw Guest.House was the only one I could find. Had this hotel NOT been booked in these circumstances ,£50 (£60 ABSOLUTE MOST) for the night would have been a closer price , incidentally I googled the hotel for a direct price and nearly dropped through the floor...£130 per night 😲😲.

The Location but premises was awful
“The Guest house was in poor condition and not clean. There was no proper heating, only a blow heater that seemed like a fire hazard. The noise levels were constant, and the overall environment was uncomfortable and unpleasant.”

Easy to find, prompt service. Clean, no frills room with en suite bathroom. Decent shower. I stayed 1 night for a concert in Liverpool and the room rate was the best around. Good location just off bold street. On site kitchen to make tea/coffee which was all I needed.
Nothing, it was just right for my trip

The location was great; very central. The most positive adjective I could use to describe the facilities and amenities is "spartan".
I didn't see much of the staff as the reception is unmanned (you call a phone number when you arrive). The only staff I saw during my stay was the person who checked me in, who was friendly enough, if not very verbose.
I would have been fine with spartan, if it were clean, but it was unfortunately not so. The chair had literal mould in the seating, the carpet had some very questionable stains (why even have a carpet?!) and the room smelled very unpleasant.
What little they did supply was of abysmal quality: Rather than a pillow, the room had two scatter cushions in a pillow case. The duvet seemed to be synthetic (seemed like sleeping bag material). One small towel that barely absorbed anything was all that was provided to both shower and dry hands with.

Firstly, how secure it was before u got to your room. Two doors to access with the fob.
Also the showers were fab. Powerful and hot.
Room was very clean.
The pillow wasn't comfortable. Too flat.
Also could do with a mirror above the table. Struggled a bit styling my hair with my straightners but luckily they reached the doorway of the bathroom so was able to use the bathroom mirror.

Location was great, and my room was perfect, very spacious and had everything I needed (except a television but that was not a major problem).
I would definitely stay here again.

Location
The security light on the ceiling was held up by tape. The bath room door would not shut. For a large room the room was tiny.

The property is in a great location! Five minute walk and you’re in the heart of Liverpool!
The hostess was very helpful, kind and informative about the residence. Guided me through how to access the residence and what to do in order to check out.
The single bed that I had was quite uncomfortable, I think it was just a thick mattress topper in a frame which isn’t bad for 1 night stay and if you’re going to be out and about for most of the evening but is just something to think about.

The location was ok, central.
The price to what you got was shocking.
£80 per night.
Single small room, no TV, no breakfast. No very nice bed or linen. Awkward style room. Poor cupboard/wardrobe.

Just along the main road from Lime Street station, so not a far walk, and so very convenient for the City centre. Friendly welcoming staff - you phone them and they come down to let you in. When I was there they were renovating the restaurant which it says it is above, but the building works were not noisy or intrusive at all. Very close to the cathedrals for touristy stuff, as well as Chinatown just around the corner. Some very good pubs nearby. Plenty of eating places/takeaways nearby too. Pod like toilet/shower room very roomy and clean and shower easy to operate (not one you needed a degree in engineering to work out - a bugbear with me in other hotels). Good wi-fi signal. Was very quiet when I stayed there. Tea and coffee are available in the communal kitchen area, so this would be good if you were staying for a longer stay and so could self cater, if you were on a budget - Co-op supermarket just round the corner on the opposite side of the street. You need to supply i.d. for booking in, like a lot of places nowadays, which I didn't mind, even though this was not specified when you made the booking. Good value for money stay for a concert visit and mini city-break.
It didn't bother me, but as it is City Centre and you wanted your windows open, then it would be very noisy outside throughout the night - a city never sleeps does it lol. But I kept them closed for most part and so it was reasonably quiet then. They were renovating the restaurant the property was above - so not sure how noisy that would be when it is fully operational in the future.

This is very convenient for Lime Street Station, the Anglican Cathedral and in walking distance to Albert Dock and Liverpool One. It is somewhere to sleep, and the very good price reflects its basic amenities.

Modern rooms, newly decorated, very clean. Well placed in city center. Handy for shops and transport.
No television in room. Checking in could be easier. Should be a buzzer and intercom on outside of building. Had to phone twice to check in.

I had a very pleasant room spotlessly clean in a very central location close to local amenities and dead opposite one of my favourite pubs.
Bit of a climb up but the lady who saw me in carried my case up for me. No TV but that didn't bother me too much.

Very good location, 10 minutes from Lime Street Station. A lot of restaurants around the area. Bed is comfortable enough and the bathroom is ok.
Facilities a bit dated but weren't a big issue as I only stayed for 1 night.
