Upgraded to a double room and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

Reception came into my room by mistake at 10pm thinking it was empty.

Excellent central loction close to the top end of Bold Street and not far from Lime Street Station. The dorms have sturdy built-in bunks with light, power, and curtain. There is a useful guest kitchen and a comfy common area lounge. Good wifi. This was by far the better of the two places I stayed in Liverpool, the other being near Albert Dock. There are plenty of eateries around, especially along Bold Street. Also their is a Lidl on Lime Street if you want to use the guest kitchen. The classic Philharmonic pub is just around the corner

Ok for an overnight layover in Liverpool when out late in Liverpool. Not a bad location either.

Ok for a brief overnight stay but drawback is there's not much space available to leave belongings. Curtains on the bed are too short too.

Asking for card information on the front desk. Overall stay was good but won't be staying again as they take all your card details at the front desk instead of using booking.com to ask for damages in case the guests made a mess. For online banking users myself, it's easy to disable cards, but it's still not fair for them to take all card information and try to charge it themselves. I understand the damage cost must be covered but the room beds aren't numbered and so the front staff has no clue whose in whose bed so if one were to make a mess, the front staff wouldn't know whose card to charge. The overall stay, check in procedure and convenience was good, beds were comfortable but I won't be staying again since I'm not comfortable sharing my full bank card details with the staff as it could be misused and they should instead use booking.com for damage appeals.
