Lovely place to stay

Nice clean hotel with good shower, very warm when you first went in the room luckily the window opened on the second floor

The man on reception came up twice to say the fire alarm was going off in our room but we never heard an alarm and also had the window open while we were getting ready with the room being so warm, he was nice about it but just thought that was a bit strange

Could have been better

Clean and good nights sleep

Tv didn’t work, this hasn’t been the first time this has happened. Apparently they’re custom made tvs, this needs sorting as it’s not good charging someone between 70-100 a night and not having a basic amenity, when back at hotel we always like to see what is on the telly, it’s part of our stays away. Staff attempted sorting the problem but didn’t really seem too bothered. Also, no mini bar which you used to do, so I don’t really know why you have an assortment of glasses in the bedroom. Big issue was that the hotel had decided to shut the duck and swagger pub next door, absolutely fine to do this but you should really say you have no hotel bar as it would have deterred me from staying there in January and I would have booked this for a different time of year or gone elsewhere. Not really a nice welcoming atmosphere anymore like there was when you first opened. This saddens us to say because we love this hotel, we just hope next time we stay it is a lot better!

I liked the quirkiness of the hotel and the nice hot shower.

We arrived and got checked in the remote wasn’t working which took 40 mins to fix then the room was freezing & so was the bathroom we had to ask twice for the heating to be fixed still didn’t work I was sat with my coat on in the room we got given a small electric heater.

Good for short stay

Property had a good location for what we needed and parking close by. Late checkout was also available (at a fee).

The room was very dark, there were only tiny windows at the floor so not any natural light. You also couldn’t turn the heating off and there was no aircon and the fan provided was broken. The bar over the road was also quite loud late into the evening.

Great hotel for a romantic stay

We had a good stay, it was my partners and mine anniversary and had a lovely room, it was clean and both slept well and would recommend to others

Only problems we had were, the tv quite often glitched which I don’t know wether it was a problem the hotel or what, the mirror light in the bath room was broken so it kept flashing blue and red which was only an issue as I’m a light sleeper and was a bit distracting to get to sleep. Not so much an issue but just something that the blinds were calibrated wrong so only partially opened. This were very minor so would still say we had a great stay.

Convenient for short stays

The bed was comfy and the staff were really nice.

Didn’t really like how there was no heating at all in the room, the shower set up was really difficult as the bathroom itself is ridiculously small, the shower only has half a glass cover so water just soaks the floor. Cleanliness was ok but few stains on the carpet.

Excellent location, we saw a band at the Camp & Furnace, only a short walk & to the Baltic Market & into town for a bit of shopping, great decor & friendly staff v chilled out stay

Comfy stay

As with any hotel, for me it's Bed, shower and breakfast. Given this the hotel is ok. The bed is clean and comfy, the shower has a good flow and the breakfast is of a good size. Slightly mixed message as one server said we could only have one drink and the other was happy to give out more. The lifts didn't work when we arrived but were fixed within hours so all good there. Only a short walk into the city from the hotel, say 10mins.

Location and reception staff

No food available in the bar (even though there is a menu on the website). Disrupted our evening as had planned to eat before going out. Marks on the walls in the bedroom. TV didn't work properly - several channels didn't work, Bluetooth connection to phone for music failed. No obvious way to control temperature in the room. Sink plug didn't work. Couldn't fill the basin. Breakfast disappointing. Waited ages, food dry and over cooked, unfriendly waiting staff. Cold room. Overall just felt average.

Quirky fun hotel in Baltic Triangle

Small and trendy hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, in a quirky (meant in a good way) neighbourhood of Liverpool. Excellent breakfast...took a.while to come but it was worth waiting for and really good value.

The room decor was modern and attractive, and was part of the reason we booked. But it was a little tired and in need of a spruce up. The Marshall Amp fridge was cool but had someone else's crumbs in it. The things that really needed to be spotless were...bed and bathroom all fine. The bathroom was very attractive but had a bizarre mixer sink tap that was only cold at full on. Made cleaning teeth feel more like a full shower.

It was very clean, comfortable and great location to the city of Liverpool. The staff were very helpful in particular the female receptionist was so lovely and really made our stay even better.

Really enjoyable.

I had a brilliant stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The room was spotless, comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed was really comfy and I had a great night’s sleep. The facilities were excellent, and the whole place had a clean, modern feel. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice, and the service throughout my stay was consistently top-notch. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The decor was dark and made it not seem as clean or as good condition. The TV was broken and staff were unable to fix it. Remote for the electric blind was missing. Breakfast was ok, but the coffee was instant coffee, and was made out to look like it was fresh when it wasn’t . Shower door was broken which meant the bathroom floor would get wet.

Not a great experience

Good location breakfast was ok staff friendly

Lift broken so we had to go up and down the stairs. If we had been elderly this would have been a killer. No prior notice was received. We then had to move rooms to get a working TV.

2nd and last visit

The staff were great and couldnt have been more helpful given the issues.

The lift wasn't working and the key card failed every time which meant going up and down the stairs to the 5th floor each time. This is difficult with mobility issues. The carpet was soaking wet and we raised a complaint but there was nobody available to discuss this at a senior level. They have not contcted me as promised despite me following this up via email.

Lovely service and nice room

The service especially the guy checking us in was friendly, professional and welcoming. The room was really nice, funky place, had New York vibes and a decent size. Silent fridge with complimentary water. Nice touches like mirrored lights and fluffy towels. The shower was one of the best we've had in hotels, including high end places. Great water pressure and head wasn't blocked as is generally the case. Fantastic little place for breakfast within 3 minutes walk... 'Yonder' highly recommend that place.

The bed was way too soft. It had zero support, we just sank in the middle. The pillows weren't great either. Surprised there wasn't shampoo but I guess it's classed as a budget / basis hotel. Too far from the town for what we needed so had to get taxi /uber everywhere which wasn't ideal. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to fully discover the area as only there for 1 night. Lift was broken but thankfully we only had 2 floors to walk up.

Funky & modern decor. A little different to usual hotels. Liked the music aspect; posters on the walls, fridge looked like a record player etc.

A pleasant short stay

The hotel was cute and small, staff were super friendly and location was great!!

Main issue for me with this hotel was that room was quite dark and there was no pegs to hang a towel. There was a few other minor things, but its more my personal taste. Otherwise a nice stay!

The Baltic hotel has great location, wonderful design, clean rooms with big windows! I liked everything! Water in the fridge, tea/coffe/milk/sugar in the room! Lovely helpful staff!

I booked room for 1 night for 1 adult and 2 children (10 and 15)with breakfast! Breakfast was ok, but we had to order from menu and wait for it prepared! There is not buffet where you can choose what you want! Also I add I was told to pay for children’s breakfast! It was so big surprise for me, coz I never had such before! But after all lovely staff solved that situation!

Lack of lighting in the entire room. Lifts weren’t working and we weren’t offered anything for the inconvenience. Rooms were extremely hot and all we had was a single fan for 3 people.

Quirky but dark.

Quirky, power shower

The room is so dark you cannot see properly. There was no cold water, just scalding hot as soon as the tap turned on. The doors have no soft close so they are slamming shut constantly.

A helpfull last minute booking

The Baltic Hotel is a great place to stay. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Fridge, Tea and Coffee making facilities in the bedrooms and large TV with great cable chanels. Definitely somewhere I enjoyed staying.

The shower cubicle in room 30 is too small. The shower screen has been replaced with a curtain which clings to you when the shower is running. The Rose Shower Head is pointless as all the water ends up on the floor. How about a bigger shower cubicle as there's plenty of space in the bathroom. Breakfast (which was very nice) took an eternity to arrive. Almost 25 minutes, and serving luke warm coffee isn't great either.

Overcharged for what we received

It was fairly well placed centrally. Rooms are quirky and ours was spacious.

It wasn’t spotlessly clean. Marks on doors etc. The lift was out of order and we were on the fourth floor which was not good. An alarm of some sort presumably a fire alarm went off at 4.30am waking us. However no-one left the hotel so clearly an error. Given the lack of lift and alarm I feel we were overcharged for our stay.

Location was not ideal for us given its distance from the centre. Breakfast was limited - no fruit etc and only one drink allowed per person.
