Good place to stay for a one night break away!

The room was super clean and worth the price I paid for a night away with my boyfriend. We had a really good time, the shower was massive, and there were plenty of towels available. The bar staff were friendly and served up to late on a Sunday night, which was when we stayed. It was a really comfy, clean bed. I stayed in the King room, and it was a reasonable price for a one night on a Sunday. It was within walking distance of plenty of things to do with your partner and made a good stay for the weekend. I had a warm DoubleTree cookie upon arrival, and was welcomed with a positive attitude. Breakfast was nice in the morning; the food could've been a little hotter, but it wasn't cold. The mushrooms and the sausages were so tasty. I do recommend getting breakfast included. There were lots of negative reviews that I saw before going, but to be honest, from my experience, it was a lovely stay.

I didn't use the spa facilities, so I can't judge the price, but £20 an hour per person is expensive, and due to reading some reviews saying that it was not worth the price, I didn't risk it. Besides, there's plenty else to do in Liverpool.

Great place for getting around to everything

The location, size of the rooms, comfortable bed. Bathroom was massive.

Convenient for city centre access but still managed to be quiet. Bedroom was spacious with adequate storage. Wet room was easily accessible. Bar and breakfast room were convenient. We'll be back.

For the amount of money we spent to stay and the fact it was our honeymoon, not worth the money

There were only 2 channels to watch on the TV, the plugs near the mirror didn't work so I burnt myself with my curling wand, the wifi kept dropping out and it was £20 per person to swim for just 1 hour - when we did call to book, we couldn't get in.

A nice hotel in a good location room very cold & bedding not adequate for the time of year

The location was good for what we wanted to do

The room was cold the air was throwing out cold air & it was cold during the night the duvet was thin. There was an oil filled radiator that clicked on & off all night disturbing our sleep. The shower was grubby At breakfast the cooked items were very sparse & cool in temperature I had to ask for fresh eggs & bacon which arrived 10 minutes later.

Dirty hotel with rude ataff

The location was good bu5 thats all I can say was positive everything else was awful

The staff on reception were rude and unhelpful,, bed was dirty, pillows were stained and sheets wete wet! Bathroom slept of mould and sewage, when u first entered the room it stunk of body odour and stale air like bad breath! The room was just overall poor looking, and when I told reception I asked to move rooms I was categorically told no way! They said they were full and had no free rooms, no one came to see our dirty pillows or wet sheets, so we ended up taking the wet sheet off ourselves and thank god there was a spare pillow in the wardrobe and a thin spare cover. We didn't stay for breakfast we just wanted to get out of that hell hole as quickly as possible! Parking was a 5 min walk away so we left and went elsewhere for breakfast even though we had paid! I will never use the hilton again, oh and they charge you 20.00 per person per hour to use the crap spa, its not worth it so dont bother

I booked to stay in the Double-Tree in Liverpool City centre, as I was attending a family wedding in the City. We had chosen this hotel because of the spa facilities and as other family members were also staying there, allowing me and my partner to be able to enjoy some time together while our child was with our family members in the same hotel. I had booked a Suite at the Double-Tree and I had contacted the hotel to enquire about leaving our suitcases with them before checking in, as we would not be arriving till late that evening to physically check-in. We were told this was not an issue. While we attending the wedding I received a call from the Double-Tree to inform me that was a problem at the hotel and we had been moved to another hotel. I explained the situation and that we needed to be with our family members but apparently there was nothing they could do. On arrival later that evening at the other Hotel we were unable to gain entry as the front doors were locked and we had to wait 10 minutes outside in the rain while we waited for the doors to be opened. On checking in to the other Hotel we were told that people being moved to this hotel was a regular occurrence and that it was due to the Double-Tree over booking their rooms. We were booked into a standard room in the hotel, that was half way across the city. We were extremely disappointed in the room provided and the managing of the situation.

Disappointing. The staff really let this place down

Location

Bathroom had problems with leaking by toilet and by shower doors. We called by the hotel, during a tour, and urged to return back so that they could move us to a different room due to a power outage. No offer for compensation for our troubles. Also, getting to our room and relocated room was difficult because of the stairs - no help with our luggage from staff.

I remembered that I deserve luxury every day, not just ‘visiting places’, I nurtured my aliveness.

On arrival, Anthony, Daniel and May were all welcoming, in a way that was professional and real. I came to stay for one night, chose to extend my stay and May in particular supported me making the process simple and exactly what I wanted a needed. The breakfast was superb. In the Koukash bar/restaurant area Megan was observant and paid attention to my needs in a responsive way. I never felt like just another visitor. I also received recommendations about places to visit and explore which was inspiring. I met Marwan and had a beautiful lunch, the chef really tuned into my likes and dislikes and I felt greatly cared for.

The spa and leisure area was extra, really reasonably priced and well worth it, but personally I’d of rathered that hidden in the cost of the room. The room rate would’ve still been reasonable with it included. It would not stop me booking again though, I’m already planning to return to this wonderful place with wonderful people.

The room was absolutely freezing to the point where i could see my breath. Called 3 times For help… when I returned from the spa there were 3 heaters in my room that didn’t do much as the ceilings were so high wasn’t a comfortable stay tbh

Added a pack to the booking for a special occasion , room looked like it was thrown together no real effort drinks were not ready for us like requested on arrival , the price of the food is really not worth it inside the hotel would advise to stay away from the breakfast especially , also didn’t receive everything we payed for , really clean and great location but can stay in a hotel round the corner for half the price what offers the same really

Couldn’t be in a more perfect location! Everything was walkable: the train station, shopping, docks, Christmas market, Cavern Club - all the main attractions we wanted to visit was a short walk, was really impressed! Lots and lots of things to do nearby! I don’t feel like the images on site do the hotel much justice, it’s much nicer looking in person! It’s a beautiful hotel. The room and bathroom was really spacious and super super clean! Bathroom was very modern and beds were comfortable. They kindly left us a complimentary Happy Birthday cake which was a nice touch :) We used the Spa facilities for £20 (Pool, thermal bath, sauna and steam room) which were really nice and again super clean Staff were friendly. They let us store our bags whilst waiting for check in We didn’t get to experience the food or drinks so can’t comment there I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends!

Nothing at all! Although I did pay for the balloons package which was supposed to come with the swan towel but they just done the balloons without the swan :( but not a biggie. They did leave us a complimentary Happy Birthday cake though, which was lovely!

Couldnt stay for breakfast, staff made sandwiches for our trip instead at no cost.

There was a wedding, and the music went on till midnight, we had an early start the next day so not ideal. The function room seemed very close to our bedroom so was very loud.
