The Municipal Hotel Liverpool - MGallery Collection

The location was perfect with short walks to Most shops,restaurants and pubs. Our first room was a bit small and my husband finds walking challenging and where the bed was would be hard for him to get round,after asking the receptionist about this we were given a much more accessible room without and extra to pay all she staff were very helpful.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

I received a warm welcome from Alex on reception and my room was lovely, the shower felt luxurious and the bed was dreamy!

Breakfast was a very busy affair, it appeared that quantity of people was more important than quality of service. I was sandwiched on a table between others, no condiments on the table, I had to ask for sugar for my coffee and my breakfast was served on a side plate as, I overheard a man say, they had ran out of plates. I wasn’t asked at check out how my stay was otherwise I’d have raised my concern there.

Location was great and the reason why we tried this hotel, as we usually stay at the Titanic, which is out of town...Bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent. Reception Desk staff were very helpful and very apologetic about anything that didn't go well. Slippers and bathrobes were a nice touch. However one pair of slippers was missing so had to ask.

Disappointed as soon as walked into the bedroom. They were small and felt cluttered and cramped. Attention to detail was just not there with the fixtures and fittings. The bathroom door banged every time it was opened due to poor fitting. There was no fan to clear the steam when in the shower Hair in the bathroom on the sink unit was immediately off putting. There was no minibar in the room other than a complimentary water and just general attention to detail was lacking. Special request which I took time to ring and discuss with reception staff in advance of the stay due to special celebration was missed which was really disappointing, staff did rectify this but about 5 hours too late & also provided a complementary round of drinks at the bar however this didn't make up for the initial disappointments on arriving in the room.
