Just a great hotel, lovely staff

Good location and a stunning public bar area - Palm Court. Whole building is impressive.

Reception area is chaotic and service is acceptable but slow and rooms even with an upgrade are uninspiring. For the price paid I was underwhelmed compared to comparable hotels in the city.

Location was great and the reason why we tried this hotel, as we usually stay at the Titanic, which is out of town...Bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent. Reception Desk staff were very helpful and very apologetic about anything that didn't go well. Slippers and bathrobes were a nice touch. However one pair of slippers was missing so had to ask.

Disappointed as soon as walked into the bedroom. They were small and felt cluttered and cramped. Attention to detail was just not there with the fixtures and fittings. The bathroom door banged every time it was opened due to poor fitting. There was no fan to clear the steam when in the shower Hair in the bathroom on the sink unit was immediately off putting. There was no minibar in the room other than a complimentary water and just general attention to detail was lacking. Special request which I took time to ring and discuss with reception staff in advance of the stay due to special celebration was missed which was really disappointing, staff did rectify this but about 5 hours too late & also provided a complementary round of drinks at the bar however this didn't make up for the initial disappointments on arriving in the room.
