I have sent 2 emails to the hotel and haven’t had any response of anyone offering any kind of apology

The hotel and location were good

Had the worst night sleep due to a fault with the radiator in the room which sounded like constant running water which didn’t stop all night

Second time back, great location

Rooms were clean and spacious, bathroom was spotless, staff were friendly, the breakfast was lovely, plenty of selection.

Chilly in the room but warmed up, later in the evening. Drinks were a little over priced.

Location

No one on the desk ,bar staff informed us they were in charge but had to wait them to finish serving cocktails! Lift not working had to go up 3 flights of stairs to room ,I have poor mobility and my husband has a heart condition! At bfast 1 member of staff taking orders and waiting on ! No orange juice ,ran out ,told there were no eggs ,so limited choice .

Friendly staff, warm and clean hotel, impressive breakfast.

Lots of options for breakfast, large portions and a very hot tasty cooked fried breakfast on top of the continental buffet, they even provided vegetarian sausages for me, very impressive.

There was nothing I didn’t like, we were warm and comfortable during our stay and their bathroom was spotlessly clean. I would have liked the room a little brighter but that’s tricky in January!

We seemed to have the entire hotel to ourselves.

Location. Close to Mathew Street and Beatle heaven. Big grand old hotel with few guests.

The en-suite was a nightmare. Everything was wet.

Probably the nastiest hotel I’ve stayed in

The decor outside the rooms was nice the staff were lovely

The room was dusty all over including the walls the rooms were displayed as luxury suites and when I arrived I felt like I was in a brothel in Amsterdam. Breakfast in the morning was abysmal to say the least it looks amazing on the pictures but don’t be fooled these images are definitely not what you booking be careful

Perfect location, beautiful room with an amazing shower room.

Breakfast was a little underwhelming for the price of the room and atmosphere of the hotel, bar and restaurant. There is parking just across the street but there was no parking validation or discount available. There is a discount available for a lot further away but this is not convenient for persons with disabilities.

The list is neverending, in 30 years and about 100 trips to Liverpool, this stay is by far the worst ever: - Arrived at 14:45 and was told check inn was 15:00 sharp! Could caurse ave waited in the hotel bar but the staff didnt bather to offer this so off caurse left. - Before this hotel offered luggage care bust thats gone now, had to drag me 20kg bag up the road to my pub. - At check inn i got told that the hotel was fully booked and i couldent get the Rom Delux 27’ i had prepaid for…instead i got a socalled Superior Dobbel room against Cumberland st. Can asure you room 312 is NOT a superior room. Bathroom so small you could hardly turn around… - Pictures added tells all about cleaning! - Elevator not going, didnt mind even top floor and 20kg bag, but not for everyone i guess. Said it should be up and going day after but after 5 days it wasnt… - Staff said thet where short atm and they prob not to blame, but at least try to look at your guest when talking. I was calm and humbled but didnt get any response realy… - When asking for a compensation for not getting the room i’d prepaid for, £685 a 5 nights stay, i was offered a drink in the hotel bar! Cheers…

Fantastic hotel for any visit to Liverpool. We would stay here again

The central location could not be bettered, the staff were very friendly, helpful and had great insights. The room and bathroom were very clean and immaculate. The hot chocolate was a nice addition to the usual tea and coffee in the room.

Road traffic noise from Victoria Street, especially buses and trucks. Could do with better sound proofing on the window of our room. Had English breakfast first morning and not great. Eggs benedict 2nd morning was much nicer.

Close to nightlife - well woke many times in the night by loud revellers. Last time 6am. Also despite advertising multiple hot drinks with breakfast only had tea, coffee - which was disgusting, and decaf coffee. No earl grey tea

Breakfast freshly cooked each morning and delicious. Choice of continental too. Staff so efficient and pleasant. Very helpful. Great location for shopping and walking to Albert dock. Very secure .

Great place awful breakfast want a full refund for making my Mrs poorly

The room was lovely

The breakfast my other half was violently sick and we had notified the hotel about her veganism and dairy intolerance but when the breakfast came out they put eggs on her avacado toast which stated on the menu was vegan they took it back in and said it was a fresh one 15 seconds later and she had two mouthfuls of it and 30 mins later was really sick

Our room was very dark and purple,could have done with some bigger drawers to put jumper's in,apart from that the room was very clean and the bathroom looked very new and the beds were very comfortable

Stayed many times at this hotel, staff are v friendly & helpful, it’s also centrally located, good value for money

Breakfast on the 2nd morning was poor, self service is fine but the food was lukewarm there where no fried eggs left at 0920 asked staff and was told no more being cooked! Bed wasn’t comfortable had better beds in previous stays.

Lovely hotel very central to everything, staff very helpful quick check in and room was very adequate. The room tidied even though only there 2 nights. And breakfast there was plenty options

There wasn't much to be fair, if anything some items of breakfast were under cooked egg was a little mushy for me black pudding only one side cooked properly and didn't help guest leaving lids up so items cooled quickly
