Lovely hotel, would recommend

The hotel is situated in the heart of Liverpool, perfect for shops and restaurants. It is modern and the room was spacious and perfect for my stay. I booked to use the gym, which was small but well equipped. Staff very helpful too

Staff were really helpful and friendly, location was great.

The room was dated and stains on carpet and marks on walls furniture worn, pool was really cold, and a lot of chlorine was very overpowering, had two changing rooms and one had a bulb out.

No vegan main for room service which was a shame. I'd have definitely paid for it as the room was very comfortable

The location was fine. The pool and gym facilities looked lovely, although we didn’t use them.

Room wasn’t especially clean or modern. It wasn’t dirty as such, but room 430, clearly evidence of an old leak that hasn’t been redecorated. You can clearly see that water has run down the wall from the ceiling at some point. We changed bedding twice during our 2 night stay, and both times the bedding had stains on. While the bedding was not what I would describe as dirty, and it looked more like old stains (eyeliner/makeup) I wouldn’t expect to have stained bedding put on the bed on 2 consecutive nights without anyone noticing. Not good really. The bathroom was dated and the windows need to be thicker, additional glazed. Woke up both mornings early to the sound of vans loading/unloading 4 flows below!! Yea I know it’s a city centre hotel, but I also see a lot of comments/reviews about noise issues at your hotel so I know it’s not isolated. Also, I know that other hotels in the area do not have this problem with noise.

Staff were amazing and location of the hotel was perfect! Breakfast was good too.

I asked for a room with a bath, paid alot of money for the room too. But it had no bath, I rung the receptionist, he said noone made note of my request for a bath, and that the room with a bath are all taken up now. The quality of the room is not to standard too, very out dated/simple, for when I paid alot of money, i.e meant to be there best room.

It was nice and clean and comfortable. My husband said he had the best sleep. Facilities were great. Staff very accommodating and friendly.

Woken up at 6am with loud bangs, not sure whether work men working or delivery vans it would of been nice to be told it was noisy in the morning. We did tell staff on checking out and just got told not ARE problem. Very poor!

Location is fabulous

Very noisy, construction just next my window. Inside the doors don’t sell well so you can hear all the noise from the corridor. Staff that received me was very nice, but the rest very boarder. Food was horribly bad at the restaurant.

Common areas (floor 4 lift lobby) had some litter. The room only had charging points on one side of the bed.

Liverpool - the Great Return

We are repeat "offenders" at this hotel. This hotel and staff go above and beyond. From the room we stayed in, to the welcome at the front desk - they are wonderful 😊. That is why when we return to Liverpool, and we will, Novotel is where we will stay.

I haven't found fault yet here. The staff are on top of anything, and are always apologetic if there is anything missing, broken, dirty etc but this is far and few between.
