Excellent value and location

Location was great, right at the docks and not far to city centre.

Bathroom not completely clean (hair in shower). Could hear people walking upstairs a few times in the night as I had ground floor room.

Great hotel with great staff and relaxed.

The service was excellent I got a very poor room to begin with that was dirty and they immediately moved me to a far superior room that was clean and big. Location was also very good. Breakfast was excellent.

Nothing in particular but does concern me when I’m checking in for first time and I get given such a dirty room. Maybe the cleaning of rooms is an issue.

Great location, let down by mattress.

The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and like a 1000 year old futon. It was like laying on a concrete with large craters dotted around. My back was in agony, and I got little to no sleep. I am not sure what the either rooms were like but if you are given room 141 ask to be moved!

Exhausting

Hi there, we have just returned home after our stay. This was my first girly night away with my daughter and sadly it was ruined by the most terrible night sleep for us both. I did tell reception this morning. The air con machine made a terrible racket and my little girl was sobbing at 1am wanting to go home. The smell of drains in the bathroom also affected our stay . It was a real shame as the location was great as were the staff but we had to go home early today due to being exhausted from our dreadful night. I had saved for this for so long that we both felt sad that it had been so affected. Regards, Jacqueline

A terrible hotel we did not stay .

The state and size of the room .Mark's up the wall outside the bathroom & the sink had not been cleaned .the room was cold and well below the standard I would stay at so having paid in full we decided not to stay and left the hotel .we then checked into the Hilton which was superb .I would not book with ibis again.

Not good

My son and were in Liverpool for a football match on New Year's Day and there was no availability at my usual hotel, so based on positive reviews, I decided to book the Ibis. Shower / bathroom are OK. It is well located near Albert Docks. The staff were friendly enough. There is a car park (at £10 per night)

The property is very basic. The twin bed room was two single beds pushed against each other with little or no room to move them apart. Not sure there is much difference from a double bed room. Plug sockets aren't close to the beds. Car park is small and cannot be booked, and though there was one space left where I was able to park, I could see other cars had parked out-of-place for lack of designated spaces. Cleanliness was the biggest problem. Kettle was dirty (that alone would dissuade anyone from drinking out of it), fixtures and fitting that have clearly not been cleaned in some time. Only the fear of falling asleep at the wheel prevented me from driving back to London after the game rather than spending the night at the hotel.

Location is fab and have everything you need for a night. Was clean.

We struggled with noise in our room. Could hear all the doors banging, pipes and toilets flushing. Just felt very noisy. Also, when we walked in it was freezing. The air con had been left on so we turned it on to hot. The room just couldn’t keep the temp. Had hard flooring too which made it feel colder. Walked past a couple of rooms when leaving that were being cleaned and they looked like they had carpet so were probs better. We stayed one night, that would be enough. Not big enough for more than that.

Room was basic but clean & comfortable

Breakfast: The bacon was very fatty & greasy, skin was tough on the sausages. Hence i only tried this on the first day! the rest was ok cereals, toast etc. Could offer the option of fried or poached eggs.

Location

Disable parking not policed as per blue badge requirement. Bed extremely uncomfortable no proper mattress. Bathroom like a caravan set up. No hot towel rail. Air-conditioning controlled by office not room. TV remote not working properly. Room and general areas cold. No desk chair to put on make in front of mirror. Horrendous noise from baggage room and outer door to bins. No carpet.

Very dated rooms.. we stayed many years ago and nothing has changed. Cheap finishes in room. Dark, dingy, sole less..Pillows were pointless.. flat as a pancake. Breakfast poor.. not much choice. Things were running out and staff not replenishing unless asked
