Pleasant

The location was very central, close to bars restaurants etc. The staff were nice. 24 hour reception. I knew it was in an area with lots of nightlife so I had requested a quiet room which was provided. Really good shower and very comfortable bed.

There was a weird smell in the room. We didn’t ask to move rooms as we’d specifically asked for a quiet room so we didn’t complain.

We had a front room which seemed to be over a nightclub so on first night didn’t get any sleep at all phoned reception and asked to move rooms but it was fully booked so the music stopped about 530/6 am had no sleep was given earplugs but they didn’t cut it really so was tired all the next day , although the staff did help and move us to a quieter room the next day but it was a bit late , also was to it’s loud because it’s Saturday in Liverpool , I get that but why rent a room if you know it’ll be impossible to sleep because it’s so loud and I mean very much so to the point that you could have been in the club . I found this a bit ridiculous as had I been warned about this I would not have stayed and we yes we got moved but offered no refund for the terrible first night . This said the staff were really nice so it’s not on them but I would not stay somewhere if it said you will not sleep , makes no sense at all .

Great location, really central. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice bar area to wait while you check in. Rooms were clean and spacious, on-suite was clean with a great shower.

Guest I was with heard music in to the early hours, it never bothered me. Maybe something to consider if you are a light sleeper, but most locations in Liverpool would be the same.

Enjoy the rest in these rooms is not possible unless you are a junk drunk teenager

Rooms are clean and quite spacious, breakfast is fine.

Location is disgraceful, night clubs/pubs are located just in front of the hotel, playing loud heavy basses music the whole night until early morning. Stupid teenagers stand just below the rooms windows screaming and shouting the whole night as well as beasts do in a proper jungle enviroment. Reception staff stated the rooms are soundproofed but it is definitely not true and they are careless. The only solution they provide is bringing some cheap earplugs which only help to phisically hurt your ears, adding even more pain. DO NOT BOOK HERE if you desire to sleep in the room you pay for!

Poor this time round

Location is brilliant

I’ve stayed many times and never had issues but this past time upon entering the room the bed had stains on, the shower floor wasn’t clean and the room just didn’t seem upto standard at all, but sadly was in a rush for a work meeting so didn’t get time to inform staff

Very large, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff both at checkin and at breakfast. The quietness and sound reduction was excellent - the shower was hot and clean.

The strong smell of cannabis throughout the bottom floor, although this didnt actually get into the room.

Lovely modern hotel, convenient and comfy

Great location and lovely modern hotel with comfy bed and space in the room and I really liked it. Breakfast was excellent, such a friendly member of staff greeting you.

The light levels are low in the room, there weren’t any bath towels available (in the room or when asking at reception - I wasn’t the only one - not sure what happened there), and music from nearby clubs continued till half 2am so I recommend ear plugs!

Highly recommended for those in town and on a budget

Love this place. I've been staying in different hotels while I'm in the city for work but I keep coming back to this one. It's well priced, well located, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the staff are just lovely. No parking but the ParkBee car park is only a 5 min walk and is cheap enough.

WHY SAY YOU OFFER A SERVICE WHEN YOU DON'T???

I am usually one that gives a 5 star rating even when its not worth it cos i appreciate the little things. During the booking,i enquired the availability of a Microwave so I'm able to heat up my home cooked meal as i don't do well with restaurant meals and the likes, i received an email response saying "there's none available in the room,however, one of the staff could help heat up if i needed to",This was fine by me. First day of arrival, walked up to the staff to heat up a meal,i was told NO and they wouldn't be able to do that even after showing the email response, the manager then says it must have been a mistake from the staff on shift and nothing he can do,says they dont use the staff microwave for customers. then i asked the question "WHY SAY YOU OFFER A SERVICE WHEN YOU CLEARLY DONT". i ended up trashing all my food and had to spend extra and depend on restaurant meals. The director/manager on shift that day could have managed the situation better,he barely acknowledged any responsibility for the situation talkless of any compensation, his customer service and de-escalation skills were very poor. I was extremely angry and just had to walk away,he even threatened me to leave the hotel and book another,and to go get a refund from the booking site. i honestly wanted to leave but just couldn't stress my family after along trip. and the fridge in the room was useless.

Good value for money, with some nice new extras. Check-in organisation poor.

Have stayed many times before, love the location. The toiletries seemed upgraded, and the addition of bathrobes was nice. Always good value for money for the location and room size.

The main issue was check-in. We arrived at 2:30, and thought we’d check to see if our room was ready as it was approaching check-in time. We were told it would be ready in the next 20 mins which was great so we sat down to wait. A queue started to build at 2:50 which was fine, so we got to the desk again at about 3pm. They then told us our room still wasn’t ready but they went through the check-in process. We said we’d just leave our bags and come back, but they assured us it would only be a few more minutes, so advised that by the time we got to the room the housekeeper would most probably be packing away. When we got to the room, the housekeeper still had lots to do, and told us our room wasn’t on his list as being in use that day. He asked us to go tell the person on reception. By the time we had gone back down and the receptionist had found us a different room, we had been in the hotel an hour, and would’ve just left our bags at 2:30 had they been honest about the wait time. On a Sunday this did impact how much time we had around the shops etc. The tv was also worse than times we have stayed previously. We’d go back based on our other successful visits, but surely your room should be available for check in by check-in time.

Room was very warm and opening a window wasn't an option as it looks out on to a busy / noisy street. Very much manageable however and still a positive experience.
