Don’t waste your money for dirty, smelly, moldy, uncomfortable bedding, moldy bathroom and totally unsanitary. The basement part of house that I stayed in for three nights was very dirty and smelly. Like old rancid mop water left in the hallway stunk. I put it outside hope the smell would go away. It did not by the next day because the tile hallway so dirty. You can see the heavy layer of dirt and grime in the tile. The edges of the tile floor edges to the walls looked a little cleaner but the middle path was dark with grim and filthy. They said they only washed with water and swifter. Grout and crevices are full of dirt. After walking through there to my room. I wash the dirt from my feet. Not putting the feet in the bed. The bedding looks very worn. The pillows were so worn out. Kitchen and bathroom was not sanitary by any means. Please wash the house supplied kitchen utensils and plates. Sinks are gross as the countertops. No paper towels supplied. The community towels by in the kitchen or bathroom where never changed out. Looked like it's been a long while since they were cleaned. Bathroom is gross. Mold in the tub shower area. Exhaust fan makes noise but doesn't do any exhaustion. Dirty refrigerator inside.

Serious health hazard to stay do not come.

The location is close by a supermarket and you can literally walk to it just takes a few minutes. The location is in a nice neighborhood.

It was extremely dirty. When I arrived the sink was full of dishes. Before cleaning it through because the sink and drying rack were both disgusting to I cleaned it myself before doing all the dishes. There is dust in the bathroom. And black mold wich is a serious health hazard. The tiles of the floor are almost just black even though it's supposed to be white. As soon as you step out you bedroom you can smell the mold wich is also a health hazard. Both the microwave and cooking place are disgusting. I texted the owner the first day I arrived I stayed here for five days by the way. I said I would appreciate it if some of the things could be cleaned but they never did it's very disappointing. The money you have to pay for it is not worth it.

Gross.

Location was fine

The place was extremely bad. There was an awful smell of mold. The bathroom was disgusting - we didn't even want to take our shoes off it was so gross. There are multiple rooms being rented on the property like a hostel. We had booked a room but the host told us once we got there that the room was only meant for 1 person and it was $50 per person but we had already paid $132 and she still charged us an additional $50. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Would recommend staying far away from this property.

The host was very responsive and my room was very comfortable. The shared kitchen was fine and the yard is nice.

I did understand about sharing a bathroom but I had envisioned sharing with maybe one other person and that was not the case. I am a private person and the house was just a bit too busy for my taste but it would really appeal to others.

The place could have been nice if it had been clean. It was a kind of little suite with a kitchen. And that might have been convenient if we had stayed longer; as it were, we didn't use it. The kitchen/common room was very bare bones; no decoration, a single table. But all we were after were beds to sleep in for a couple of nights, so I didn't care about that. There was a washer and a dryer. But neither worked and we were told to call for help if were going to use them. The bed was comfortable. Clean surfaces, however, should be expected.

It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in the last month or so. And that ruined it for me. I wouldn't have minded the rudimentary furnishing, if only there hadn't been dust and loose dirt lying around.

Would I stay again? It would be acceptable if it was clean…

An old house that had been fixed up nicely. A lot of rooms, no living room area as everything was used as a bedroom. The TV was in the kitchen…but no place to sit and watch. In pretty good condition aside from the stove not working (there was plywood with a crappy hot plate on it) and a few shoddily repaired drywall patches. 15 minutes from the airport.

It was filthy. my wife would have been aghast. In fact she would have refused to stay. Every horizontal surface had a thick layer of dust. The kitchen, fridge and bathrooms were in dire need of scrubbing. I still cringe at the thought of my feet touching the shower. I was only there for 5 hours just to crash before a 6AM flight and the bed linens looked clean so I stayed. It was too late to find something else and also non refundable, so….

Cleanliness needs to be improved especially in bathrooms and shared kitchen. Many things still left to fix including door latches that pop open, painting and fixtures not completed, dirty shower etc.

creepy vibes, would probably suit solo male traveller, would not book again.

Pros: great location near public transport connections, food, shops, amenities and the pacific spirit park is in about a 15 - 20 min leisurely walk. The washer/dryer in the location is very handy to have. The neighbourhood is peaceful, feels safe. plenty of power sockets in the room, overhead lighting + 2 lamps give lighting options. The room is lockable with a key and bolt from the inside, so it feels quite safe leaving belongings.

Cons: considering the $50 cleaning surcharge added onto the price of the room, the property was not particularly clean; notably the bathroom was not cleaned once during my stay. I'm a very experienced traveller in my 40s, at many different budgets and there was dust and hairs everywhere. There is one toilet + 1 shower room for about 7 or 8 rooms, so there was a long wait to use the bathroom. There is no proper cooking stove, only a 2-ring heating plate in the kitchen. The property manager is a bit creepy and the general vibes of the place were a bit off for me and also another person staying (we exchanged experiences). Also there are cameras in the property which add to the creepiness. Also, they tried to charge me an additional $25 surcharge for arriving after midnight which was not indicated in the description and only communicated after booking (and the fee is non refundable). I would not have booked given the fact that i knew my flight was arriving late. There is no mirror in the bedroom, not even a small one to check your face and so you have to wait to use one in the bathroom. the quiet hours are from 11pm to 9am but in that time, the property manager didn't even accept whispering (i had just come from a meditation retreat and generally the concept of quiet is not foreign to me, so i know what whispering is). There was also a weird situation with a resident (winnie, perhaps a long term resident, perhaps a family member, screaming and slamming doors in the middle of the night) and another guest and the property manager was also sending some creepy texts to this same guest. The property manager also tried to eavesdrop a conversation between me and a guest, then proceeded to ask intrusive questions...again, kinda creepy
