The location is great for the Stanley park, English bay. The room was very large and the bed was firm. It was quiet. The bathroom was clean and had a tub. The shower was good. The water gets very hot.
The hotel is still renovating, but wasn’t really a problem. I can’t say that I disliked anything. The room was all we needed and we felt satisfied.

Room size was bigger than expected. Staff were wonderful. Bed sheets were fresh and the shower was hot. Location to downtown events can’t be beat.
Not a fan of the carpeted floors. I understand this is a common practice in hotels but it never feels “clean”, to me.
The doors—while secure—were very heavy and don’t soft close, so people returning late in the evening were unfortunately quite loud with the doors slamming shut.

I would give it 5 stars for a 2 star hotel. Room and bathroom were big; bed comfortable; everything clean. Great that I could open 3 windows to let fresh air in. Right next to Cora's which is great for breakfast.
Couldn't walk in to check in - had to bash on a glass door even though the clerk could see I was there and he was a little curt. Hotel is in an old 2-storey walk-up building, so a touch shabby, but OK

Wonderful staff, great location, spacious room, couch, good pillow, heat worked, nice soaker tub, felt safe, mini fridge.
Room smelled like sweet tobacco, like my grandparents' home in the 80's. Room is pretty old/rough around the edges. Beds didn't have great support. No streaming services. TV is old, remote didn't work completely.
