Fully equipped accommodation made a comfortable stay.

Large and clean self contained apartment that was comfortable and clean. The location was good with most attractions walkable or close to a bus stop. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Kitchen was fully equipped to make most meals.

Nitpicky details: - Had to pay $2 and collect laundry powder to use the washing machine - Shower pressure was quite weak - Strange chlorine smell in the lobby (not elsewhere)

December getaway

Clean and refreshed with new towels etc every day. Good location. Walking distance to Stanley Park and downtown. Good view towards the city from our side. Good self-catering facilities and 2 large TVs. Comfortable bed and good shower in bath. Excellent value in low-season December

Great location, generally friendly staff.

Great location, lots of shops and restaurants right there. A dog park is a few blocks away as well, so pooches are welcome.

Wifi was weak in the room, so one of our two phones didn't have service (I had to set up a remote wifi server on my phone to allow them to access the internet).

A great place to kick off our family holiday

We chose this location as its easy walking distance to down town and also close to public transport. It is a good place to stay with family and friends

We chose a suite with 2 single beds and a sofa bed. There was not enough space in the bedroom to easily access two suitcases and the sofa bed was not the most comfortable we’ve experienced

It was fine but I wouldn’t stay again.

The room itself was clean and updated. The rest of the hotel was filthy. Neither TVs worked, missing remote and it was always about 28 degrees inside for some reason in December. We ran the AC the entire trip.

Pool wasn’t year round. Front desk was understaffed. The elevator, lobby and floors need a deep clean.

Excellent location, home away from home.

I love the location and access to food and amenities in the neighborhood. The suite is a nice size, like a small apartment. I like the two Samsung smart TVs that allowed me to access streaming services on my phone and watch it on the big screen.

Condition of the unit. Very run down. Visible flood damage in spots... door had been kicked in and a metal plate installed to hide the damage...mold and hair on the roof of the shower. was a renovated suite in the booking photos

A great stay on Davie!

The location is perfect... right on Davie and close to everything in the downtown area. You can easily walk to English Bay, Stanley Park, Canada Place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The building feels secure, even though the neighborhood is safe as well. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy (which is something I like). I liked the kitchenette and the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. We had a nice city view outside our window.

Like everything else in Vancouver, room rate is expensive. But this was the best price at the best location. It was OK spending the extra money. It would also be nice if the pool was indoor (or partially indoor).

Outstanding location on Davie St - blocks away from Yaletown Station for easy access (walking or with public transportation) to downtown Waterfront, Granville Island, Stanley Park… Lots of food options nearby. Gorgeous views of downtown, English Bay,…from our 10th floor suite with balcony. Very professional, respectful staff!

Fantastic view and location

We loved the Sandman Suites location in Davie Village - close to restaurants and within easy walking distance of the ferry to Granville Island. The view from the suite was spectacular. The suite was on the small side, but was very comfortable.

You live and learn

Location

Lack of sleep due to noisy air-conditioning outside windows and noisy air-conditioning in the bedroom. I would not have paid $400 a night if I had known what this place was like. I was told they couldn't give me any refund due to it being prepaid which I find ridiculous. I doubt very much if I would EVER stay here again or recommend it as they knew about the problem when they gave us the room. The hotel only lives up to a 2 star as it needs updating.

Spacious apartment in great location of downtown Vancouver

Well appointed, clean, modern and spacious apartment. Location is central to major attractions and popular areas around downtown Vancouver. Lots of cafes, eateries and restaurants all within walking distance.

The lifts are very old and need updating and a good clean .. takes a while to catch one during peak times.

Very Disappointing

We liked the Location

The place is in need of a renovation. Our room was dumpy. Old furniture with lots of scratches and chips. Couch with a blanket thrown over it. Shower had a bar for a handheld but it was broken Room had a 1 star hotel feel. Desk staff not really friendly

The Sandman was over all a good experience!

The location was great! The hotel is close to restaurants within walking distance. We didn't have far to get on our cruise ship. We loved the balcony with great mountain views!

I recommend a fan in the bedroom. My parents slept in there and it got hot during the night compared to where I slept on the pullout couch.

Good apartment stay on BC connector route

great view from higher floor, when we arrived early they let us up to the pool area to wait. We had 2 tvs, one in bedroom and one in lounge. full kitchen with dishwasher and washer drier. location , for a stop on the bc connector route to get to victoria but was 15 mins walk from better restaurants

basic furniture, small room and bathroom, although decent sized shower, (probably replaced a bath), building felt tired. Internet was patchy, although reception gave us another access. Area is undergoing renewal, lots of new apartment blocks and cheap eats, but felt safe. Expensive

The view is amazing. The newly refurbished rooms are nice. The repair staff was fast and efficient.

People smoke pot on the balconies Nobody bothered from the hotel to stop it. It's gross. Smoke floats in your room. There are signs posted saying not allowed. The smokers should be fined and removed from the property . They are rude and inconsiderate.

This was overall a great stay for our time in Vancouver

Sandman Suites on Davie was very walkable and in a very central location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and there were plenty of great restaurants along the street. The suite itself was large and comfortable. We were able to get a recently renovated suite facing the ocean and the views were impeccable.

It was strange that the only air conditioning unit was in the living room. In order to cool the bedroom, we had to blast the unit all day which made it too cold to hang out in the living area. Additionally, only two out of three elevators were working while we were there which sometimes made wait times longer during busy times.

Central, safe and clean

The suite was newly renovated and was very clean. The bathroom was very nice and the kitchen was very well stocked in terms of dishes, pots and pans and appliances. The bed was very comfy as was, to our surprise, the fold out couch in.the living room. I appreciated that the sheets were clean and crisp and had no floral or chemical fragrance. The hotel is located on.a nice part of Davie Street. Lots of nice restaurants as well as a President's Choice Indipendent Grocery store just down the street a wonderful Kims vegetable and fruit market right next door and a 24 hour Shoppers Drug Mart. On Saturdays in the spring and summer there is a street market just a few blocks over. Oh and I really appreciated the security of needing our room cards to use the elevator-so much better when the lobby opens onto the street. Parking worked out very well and it was relatively easy to get to Bard on the Beach (which we could see from one of the suites windows- a very nice view all around) which was our reason for being in town. All the staff people we met were pleasant and helpful.

No real problems. Davie Street is busy and somewhat noisy when the door to the balcony was open. It is a busy neighbourhood. The bedroom was, however, quiet with the door shut.
