We loved everything about our stay.
The staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to be helpful.Great local knowledge and recommendations. The location was perfect, so many great shops and restaurants close by. Stanley Park was very close by, as were all the other attractions downtown.
Our room was very clean and had great city views. It had all the amenities we needed and was a perfect size for our family of 4.
We would recommend Divya Sutra to anyone who wants to stay in an awesome downtown hotel in a great hip area of Vancouver.

Location.
Their queen bed was really a full. They measured it after we complained and it was still off but they insisted it was a standard queen.

The location was the only thing I liked
The staff was not active at responding to requests the room was tiny and very dated with stains and scratches all over the walls the bathtub had dents and stains was also very tiny the bed was uncomfortable and felt like it needed to be replaced

Nothing.
SCAM!
Hotel manager is rude, never there so she’s stealing time from the company and scams clients into overpaying g the damage deposit.
Also she is unqualified to manage, lead and runs a business that is heavily focused on customer service and customer satisfaction.

The location was at the heart of the downtown area., along Robson St so it was very convenient. The room was large and was very comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and easy to talk to.
There was a time when we found ants in our room.

The price was affordable and the beds felt crisp clean and comfortable.
This is an older building which is showing its age. The lobby area was welcoming. There was a slight smell of mold in the room and bathroom could have used a deep clean (visible mold on grout and along the floor boards which is concerning) The room I booked was NOT the room I was given but was too fatigued to argue with front desk. The dishes were in a locked cupboard?

Location was good.
A lot of noise coming from the floor lobby. We heard people talking and laughing very loudly. At 2am, we heard glass breaking, not sure if its glass cup, plates or windows. No complimentary tea as well.

Comfortable rooms, the room temperature was great, and lots of options in case it wasn't (A/C and fireplace). Easy central location.

Location is excellent, no issue. The room and bed got everything you need and very spacious. The staffs is very lovely and provide you with anything you need during your stay. Especially the manager, "Diana" was very kind and welcoming which making our experience more pleasant. She made my mom first trip in Vancouver a memorable one :-) Thanks Diana!

The hotel was a great surprise, I didn't expect the services and my room was amazing! Thank the whole staff that's assisted me during my stay.
Only 2 things that are easy to fix, parking should be cheaper and my bathroom has a small leak situation on the shower.

We were kindly greeted in the lobby by a person selling transportation tickets who could not check us in.
When I arrived to check in, the employee was not AR the check in desk and had to be called on her cell by the kind man at the door who didn't seem to work for the hotel. The first thing she tells me is my ID was expired. I explained I was not aware, and had forgotten my non-expired drivers license in my car on vancouver island. I then provided a birth certificate, a work ID and a credit and debit card with my name imprinted. She refused to accept them. My friend had photo ID that was not expired, so I asked her to switch the booking to his name. She said she could but that I would not be able to stay there. I asked her if she was refusing to allow me to stay, she clarified I could only stay if I had my ID that wasn't expired, which I clearly cannot go get, as we had traveled from Vancouver Island. She then suggested I cancel the booking and go elsewhere rather than provide any solution. I was floored. We walked over to a hotel that cost twice as much and checked in (he said it was clear I was who I said I was from the 5+ pieces of ID I HAD, and laughed at the fact a hotel so quickly turned away paying customers and even suggested we cancel. We had a fantastic stay, just not at this hotel. The employee seemed lazy, unwilling to help, and annoyed by our presence.
So I HIGHLY suggest you DO NOT book this hotel and go stay at the century plaza instead. I have never had such poor customer service at a hotel.
I understand you have a policy, but policies are just words on paper, and the hotel said there is no reason they need valid ID from every person in the room. Leaving us with nowhere to stay and a pile of suitcases was cold and unkind. My friend should have been able to check us in no problem with his valid ID and credit card. She seemed particularly unwilling to help because I booked through a 3rd party website. Punishing your customers for using a platform that isn't direct is wildly unfair.

Great room, great bed and service
indeed a little bit noisy in the morning as it is on the very busy street

Location of the hotel was very good. The bed was good as well.
We asked if we could leave the car on the day of the check-out in the parking, which was allowed by the staff. Very helpful.
It turned out parking had to be paid seperately, where we thought it was included.

Location is perfect. Room was clean and cleaned daily despite being told it wouldn't be daily. Lots of room to spread out, small apartment.
Would have really liked even a small gym or rooftop hot tub or something to relax in the evenings. Didn't like that paying for the stove was "extra", but not a huge deal for sure.

The staff were very friendly
Parking was a bonus
Room needs to be updated
Room was classified as a Penthouse Suite as it was on the top floor, the total price of over $300 was excessive.
Was attached to a Weed Store
No breakfast

Nothing good to say.
When it came to checkin time, the staff claimed our reservation had been canceled by booking.com, which was NOT true. Two other guests had issues- - one who was told same lame excuse as us and another who was livid because staff had not given his credit card back but tried to tell him they had. In the end, they had his card on their desk. Did NOT instill confidence in their security so we didn't finish our check-in and went to a far nicer, secure hotel just one block away.

Vancouver is expensive and it is difficult to find good family accommodation. Divya Sutra Suites is in a great location, has off-street parking, and suites big enough for families. We enjoyed our view from the 9th floor. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
It’s an older building, but I feel that is reflected in the value for money, given the location. It was fine for us.
8.0 / 10.0
The location was so convenient and easy to access many major attractions. The parking in the bank of the hotel was great. The rooms had good views of the area. The apartment was comfortable and a nice place to rest or gather. Having two separate rooms was an added perk. Divya's place was a good buy for location and the comfort of the room.

There was no breakfast in this booking. It is an apart hotel. It was spacious. Beds were comfortable and specious. Television had Netflix to watch movie which was good. The property is located centrally.
The apartment was old with old wall paper that was coming out at few place. There was no facility to boil eggs. When I asked, I was told to pay extra just to boil eggs for breakfast. The side panels were coming off on many place. Overall did not give good vibe, the gas hob was extremely old and not working as I had to pay extra. Parking charges separate, where most of the places I stayed I did not had to pay. On the website it said $25 but was charged $30 at the property.

The location is amazing, the cafes and clothes shops are right there. 15 mins to the beach or Stanley park. It was affordable considering the location. We had a family suite and it was quite spacious.
The balcony was great.
There were no saucepans and we couldn’t get the cooker to work.

Fantastic location , very polite staff, excellent maid service, very comfortable beds. Would return.
Some paint could do with being refreshed in room also some furniture could be upgraded as some handles broken and furniture tired/ scratched.

Apartment-size one-bedroom corner unit (all rooms are corner I think) in great Robson Street location, walking distance to Stanley Park, West End, etc.
All good, but hotel will book rooms as either studio (bedroom door locked) or one-bedroom (bedroom unlocked), and Booking.com info isn't completely clear about which is which in their listing. Recommend calling hotel to verify that you will have access to the bedroom, if wanted, to avoid confusion and/or extra charge at hotel.

good physical location
My eight-night stay in the advertised one-bedroom suite was extremely disappointing. There was no complimentary breakfast, and daily housekeeping was provided only once. Basic amenities such as slippers, tooth brush, toothpaste were never supplied, and after the two bottles of water delivered on day one, no additional bottled water was offered. Although I paid for the entire suite, the hotel demanded an extra fee just to unlock the bedroom. Overall, the lack of essential services and hidden charges made this stay wholly unsatisfactory.
