I booked here because of the location, knowing it was a older hotel. The location could not have been better right across the street from the water. The room was a two bedroom apartment with plenty of space, but the furniture was all very old the front desk staff was friendly And accommodating, and the coffee in the morning was good many restaurants and good bars right around the area.

I loved all around the Hotel,but the hotel need a little bit more attention or maintenance. The sofa in my room where so ugly and dirty. The beds where ok.

Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. Room had a kitchen, wich was nice. Furnishings seemed to be hobbled together from various trifting visits and flea markets, functional but well worn. Lino floors were sticky and the room smelled strongly of pinesol, but not in a good way. The staff was super kind and helpful. We only stayed one night, I'm not sure if we would want to stay more than that.

Very convenient for people want to visit the area around Stanley Park. Lot of food options in the area. It's right across the street from English bay. Onsite parking was a bit tricky. There's no elevator to the parking. The room was equipped with all the basic kitchen accessories. Staff was kind enough to accept Amazon packages which I ordered to this address.

Location was amazing and was easynto get to. Just steps away from the beach and the sea wall. Ferry for False Creek area was a 20min walk away. Has secure underground parking for smaller vehicles for less than street parking. Hotel is older and shows its age. Price reflects this because location was amazing. Bed, linens, bathroom, towels and kitchen were very clean. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. AC worked well and fans also provided. Our room faced the condos behind the hotel so had no street noise. Would stay here again.

Hotel is in an active area especially for young people. Be prepared, the hotel is old and outdated, but good for a night or two.

Building is very old, felt dingy overall. Hallways smelt like chemicals, and the lighting was really weird, made it feel like a liminal space. The room was sweltering for some reason even though it wasn't very hot outside, and the AC (which was really loud and barely worked) was right beside one of the beds, with the other bed being on the other side of the room, meaning one person roasted while the other person froze. Don't be fooled by the "cheap" rate, there's a reason for it.

With bars on the windows, it looks very sketchy from the outside. Once inside you get the feeling of an hourly motel. As we get to the elevator and to the room, all I’m thing about is the Cecil motel. Dirty carpets everything is very outdated and mismatched. We were there for a large conference weekend, so everything else was booked, or 1000. a night. We made it there for 3 nights spending a little time in the room as possible…..only drinking bottled water. Food,Safeway,7/11,Starbucks, and the beach is all within walking distance. Would I stay there again? No.

I like it because the ocean was close by the seagulls and Canadian goose! And the young guy who was there when we came, he seems nice and he was very nice at the end as he changed our room for a little bigger that we got at the beginning. Also, from our room, we could face the ocean as well :) and I found the best ice maker there!! I love it! For being a short trip, this place was very convenient. Things I didn’t like, is there isn’t various restaurants or coffee shops, I was disappoint about it. As if you want one, you have to walk blocks and blocks. Another thing we didnt like is a big garbage was in front of the entrance and truly stink. The noisy was around 2-3am a few, I guess, drunk people. It disturbed our sleep a bit. Regarding to the hotel, I was somehow disappointed as we arrived early to BC, and we came to the hotel to see if we can check in early, but the nice gentleman told that we had to wait until 3pm, but normally the customers check out at 11am, but for some reason, for our room we had to check in until 3pm. But overall, we had a good stay at this hotel. The last day of our day, I never enjoyed the ice as much as I did at this hotel!! We did love to come to BC after 20 years ☺️

Amazing location, can’t beat it, across from English bay beach where all the fun and good vibes are. We had ocean view room with full kitchen and bathroom with tub. The space was big as it’s a full-size studio apartment. Everything was clean and it had A/C unit in room. The beds were comfortable and we slept great. Stayed 2 nights and the front desk staff are all super nice and helpful. We definitely stay again!
