There were many thoughtful amenities that the owner provided which I became aware of.

The staff were wonderful and helpful in every way. Parking was excellent and secure. It is a newly renovated large walk-out apartment in a very good part of Vancouver. There is one bedroom, one full shower, a living room, new kitchen and dining table, TV, wifi etc. It is not really a B&B in the traditional sense, where you have a bedroom and bath and then have an elaborate breakfast in the owners home. Here it was initially expected I make my own breakfast, which surprised me.

I have probably been in 100 B&B's in the UK, Canada, Spain, etc. I was surprised when told I had to make my own breakfast from the ingredients in the fridge. When the owner sensed my discomfort she offered to make one delivered outside my door each AM. It was excellent. We go to B&B's to be free of preparing breakfast a few times in our lives. We like to meet the owners and for a few hours take their advice and be part of their lives. I hope the owners figure out a way to provide this to those who think it important.

Excellent stay.

The location was quiet, not tourist, walking distance to the Point Grey village with restaurants, shops. The B&B was an apartment that was super clean, had a patio area to sit and eat in, enclosed parking spot.

An excellent and highly recommended place to stay in Vancouver

Our second stay at Bay View House was as good as the first. Once again, we were impressed with the accommodation and Colleen looked after us very well. As I mentioned in my first review, Bay View House is very well equipped. We appreciated being able to wash and dry our clothes following a trip to Vancouver Island. As I mentioned previously, Colleen brings a cooked breakfast every morning, and there are additional food items in the fruit bowl and the fridge. Bay View House is in a very nice and safe residential area in Vancouver and transport into town is easy on the number 14 bus. We highly recommend Bay View House to anyone visiting Vancouver.

Perfect for a multi-day stay in Vancouver

Perfect location to start your vacation in British Columbia with a visit to Vancouver. Bay View House is located in a quiet prime residential area with Jericho Beach close by. Bus stop is right across the street and serves downtown area every 20 mins or so. Colleen is a very welcoming host who runs her B&B ship shape. We absolutely loved it staying at Bay View House for the first 3 nights of a 3 weeks trip through B.C.

This is a real gem. Should we vistit Vancouver BC again, this would be our repeat stay, no doubt,

Bay View House is best described as a "home away from home". Impeccably maintained, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located, this place is exactly what we were looking for. Colleen's wonderful hospitality is greatly appreciated and made out stay just so much more comfortable. Also, Vancouver is a busy city, and the two nights we spent there were some of the quietest in my memory.

Excellent in every way.

We were met on arrival by Colleen and given a tour. The suite was bright, clean and well set up. The bedroom has two closets, a comfortable queen bed, and little desk next to the bed. The bathroom was bright, with large soft towels and provided toiletries. Hot water was hot, the shower pressure was good. The kitchen was full, with a fridge/freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and cutlery. There was a small dining table with four chairs next the kitchen, leading into a small living room with a couch, TV and coffee table. The suite has a sliding deck door leading out to deck area with table and chairs, and a lounger overlooking a beautiful back yard with nicely done landscaping. The parking spot for the suite was back there with a privacy gate. The suite is on the lower level of the house along with another suite--access is through a code lock back door into a hallway, with the entrances to the two units there. Colleen lives upstairs. Colleen provided some chocolates and cookies as welcome, and there was a jug of orange juice and some bottled water in the fridge, a tin of Tim Horton's coffee and a loaf of bread. Breakfast is provided at the time of your choosing, with choice of milk or juice, Yogurt, and either a cheese omelette or eggs, and ham or smoked salmon. It was delicious. The neighbourhood is very good, nice for walking, bus access just outside the door, close to UBC and to restaurants on West Broadway (The Eatery and True Confections are great). Overall this was an excellent stay and we just wish we had had more time there!

A perfect stay

Our host was a person so kind and with great attention of our needs. It was very easy to go to Downtown. The bus 14 is so close from the house and allow us to arrive very quickly in Downtown or Granville Island. This Line has also a lot of connections with others bus lines.

Colleen is an excellent host. Her place is very nicely decorated and has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay,... long or short. I had everything I needed for a good breakfast; however Colleen did bring me additional stuff in the morning. This was a very nice touch indeed.

Beautiful suite. Everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, even with condiments, coffee , tea etc. The breakfast was amazing. I loved everything. I felt at home as soon as I walked into the suite.

it was huge! we didn’t realise we’d booked a full suite and were expecting just an en suite bedroom so this was a pleasant surprise. Colleen fully stocked the kitchen for us to make our own breakfast each morning, we wanted for nothing. would stay again!
