Simple and small, but comortable room.

Good location on the Media Park, which is easily reachable on foot or with public transport from the city. Check-in was quick and uncomplicated and the staff friendly. Our room was small, but comfortable. The bathroom was very prone to steaming up, but otherwise also fine. We would stay again.

It didn't affect us, but the rooms was not particularly quiet, as noise from the rooms around us could be heard. Nothing terrible, but might be worth keeping in mind for people who are sensitive.

Excellent room with a bit more space than expected. Bed was comfy and shower was good.

Great location, not cheap.

Hotel situated close to parking and mediapark. Breakfast was very good with focus on vegan food.

Room was small, and this even though I booked a superior room which was quite expensive. There was no possibility to make coffee.

Over priced and pour value in most areas

Not much. The very expensive breakfast was very bad in quality and selection. They could offer more for 18 euros a day. And no dedicated area to sit and eat .

Truly excellent!

The hotel is in an excellent location in a modern part of Cologne, a short walk away from Hansaring S-Bahn and Christophstraße/MediaPark U-Bahn stations. The hotel is modern, with excellent amenities. I always stay at Motel One when I visit Germany!

Nice hotel in the center of Cologne

Clean and modern, karnaval decoration, the renovation consisted of putting the laminat next to the elevators when we were there, so for us there was no noise related to it. Only could hear some party people when they were talking in the corridor on the way to and from their rooms. One S-Bahn Station from the central station, plus a short walk to that station.

First they wrote that there's no breakfast because of renovation. Then during check-in they said there are croissants and coffee all day for free instead. Then next day in the morning we just saw the cereal being cleaned and coffee machine being turned off, we managed to grab something last moment. The day after turns out there is a mini breakfast till 10. A bit confusing.. also the staff seemed very vary of that mini breakfast - perhaps it tends to get out of control with all the Karneval people? It was a bit funny, but we regret missing it on the first day..

There is a renovation ongoing in Motel One (January 2023). The hotel informs its guests beforehand. Despite some understandable limitations, the stay was comfortable. Thanks to fore coming staff.

Breakfast is superb, the bed comfortable, location close to public transport, very friendly staff, free wifi.

Decent location, preferred my previous stay in a different location but this was fine, nice walk to the city centre, less than a mile. Very clean rooms, very comfy beds

Rooms are functional rather than stunning. All very comfy and perfect if using this like we did (ie. to sleep in) but not the hotel you would spend a lot of time in
