A vwry comfortable stay!

The location is very good, you can easily walk to the center. The hotel and furniture in the room are a bit old but kept in a good condition. The lights are very well placed. The bathroom is very modern and clean. THE BED was amazing, so comfortable… the mattress, pillows, the sheets - this was the most valued detail for us. Great breakfast, a lot of options with very qualitative products - another big + I would definitely stay here again!

Just 2 observations: 1. The fact that you don’t have any place to hang your coat in the room. I would suggest to put a hall stand/coat rack in the hall because there is a lot of space that is not used at all. Also the wardrobe in the room is quite small and if you have your coats wet or even bigger coats there is no place to put them separately. That is why the coat rack/hooks are so much needed. 2. The bathroom glass door - although modern and nice it doesn’t give you the privacy you sometimes need.

WOW! Amazing! Close to everything, yet far enough not to be in it. I WILL choose this hotel again!

The breakfast is HUGE!!!! And there are so many selections to choose from it would take a week just to tasted each one. The food was AMAZING! The staff and service, beyond reproach!

Excellent location, service, breakfast, facilities, comfort; had a great stay.

Linder hotel was lovely, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It was a 20 mins walk from the main railway station and the cathedral. Excellent location for the Christmas markets. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the complimentary hot fruit punch and biscuits in reception every day was a nice touch. The bedroom was spacious and the shower was high powered, high tech but simple to use. Breakfast offered a hugh selection including freshly cooked eggs and omelets which were delicious; also served Costa coffee which was a plus. I booked a small group of rooms and one room had an odour issue from the air conditioning?? As the hotel was fully booked it was not possible to relocate but the receptionist ensured there was additional cleaning to try to resolve the issue and there was a partial refund of the hotel cost. Our stay was excellent and would return to The Lindner when visiting Cologne again.

Friendly staff, great location. breakfast had everything you need for a day of sightseeing.

Being really picky - I am a tea drinker and I like milk in my tea, so some milk in room as well as cream. Didn’t spoil my time as tea at breakfast was great.

Great Location!

The location of this hotel is wonderful. You can walk to restaurants shops and museums and you have easy access to the subway. The breakfast was fantastic! Loots of choices and good service. The decor in this hotel gives you the feeling that you are in a modern art museum, it's worth it to take a look at all the floors, each one is different! The on site bar is cozy too. The room was very comfortable and clean.

We asked for a quiet room, but perhaps that is not possible on a Friday or Saturday night as it is close to a night life hot spot. (Freisenplatz). I could hear a lot of noise coming from the street even though we were on the fourth floor. Perhaps our window did not have a good seal.G

Relaxing hotel in a really good location

An awesome hotel in a very good location! You can just walk into the center of town. Very comfortable room and great facilities. Almost feels like a resort kind of style where you can really relax.

Great hotel

The hotel is great starting with arhitecture and then with location and comfort ! Big room with an amazing double bed and pillows and a big bathroom. Very clean, quiet ,good internet. Tasty breakfast but basic food. Very close with a great shopping area and nice restaurants. From the Koln airport you have to take train S 19 to Hansaplatz. Then you go down and take the metro U12 or U15 to Friesenplatz. You go out and in 50 m is the hotel ! It takes 25 minutes to reach the hotel from the airport !

The refill of the breakfast could be faster ! And for the hot water in the shower you have to find the best temperature because is with buttons ! It takes long time ! At 41 degrees comes cold water but at 36 is warmer !

Loved the spa

I loved the large comfy bed, decent sized room, and quiet atmosphere. The gym and spa were a nice bonus.

The colonial style decor is not necessarily my thing, but that's just preference.

Spectacular stay in great location

Superb! Absolutely stunning hotel in fantastic location for everything walkable. Close to train stop & major sights. Phenomenal breakfast. Great gym & Sauna facilities. The room was beautiful & the bed was absolutely stunning! Very comfortable. Could not fault this hotel & would’ve loved to stay longer.

PERFECT CITY HOTEL WITH AMAZING BREAKFAST AND HIGHLY MOTIVATED,FRIENDLY STAFF

I would say just perfect but would like to give some details who are interested to read my comment. 1- Location of Hotel is close to train station located in very calm area (Except weekends) for those who would like to go out at night,no hotel can take place of this hotel.Windows are blocking all noise so outside noise do not interfere. 2- Room is very big,beds are very comfortable,Shower is amazing,You can adjust temperature of digitally and buttons are very useful,shower hea is attached to ceiling so it is very convinient. 3- Breakfast is perfect,fruits are very fresh,coffee is tasty,Milk which they use inside coffee machine is very delicious,Lactose free yoghurt is best yoghurt i have eaten in my life.A lot of bread choices as well as very tasty swiss cheeses. 4- Staff is highly motivated,especially they are very well organized for breakfast time and working very disciplined,helpful and never say no to basic requests. If i come to cologne,i wouldn't choose another hotel.

All Staf were fantastic couldn't do enough for you I've travelled quite a lot and one of best bar staff I've come across. Breakfast was great more than enough choice for everyone staff were brilliant.

Good location not far away from the Dom. Spacious room, very quiet (windows with good isolation). Parking onsite and other possibility - huge Parkhaus next door.

Disappointed with room and facilities as we paid such a lot for room.

Nothing like outside photo - requested earlier check in but not available. Told to come back at 5 to check in as it is chaos at 3. No coffee making facility. Cable TV? Only English speaking channel is news!! So expensive for such a basic hotel. Booked breakfast then was not on list in the morning and was charged Euro 12 each extra - refunded after complaining.

Everything was great!

Everything was great. Very artistic and stylish design. New and modern facilities, super comfy bed, very helpful staff. Location is great, 2’ walk to the 120-year-old restaurant Paeffgen with great draft beer and authentic German foods. We will definitely visit Cologne more often, thanks to this hotel.

Wouldn’t stay again

The artwork and decor was nice

The man at reception when we were checking out was very very rude. I wanted to pay cash on check in and split the money due with my friend that I was traveling with but the money plus €100 was deducted from my bank account without me being aware. So the option of splitting the hotel bill was took away from me. Breakfast room too small, the long wait time was so off putting, and cold coffee was very bad. The room needs new curtains also the carpet right at the entry to the room was extremely grubby and dirty looking.

The accommodation features an exceptionally comfortable bed within a quiet location. The shower proved to be a notable highlight, impressing with its innovative design. We are unequivocally inclined to return to this establishment in the future.

The lobby was nice and the location.

The hotel looked like it was an old hotel that was redecorated with the smallest budget. I found the "art floors" to be tacky. It's gimmicky. The furniture is old. It's like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. The bigger issue is that the rooms need remodeling. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for this reason. Nothing terrible. Just the more makeup you try putting o the place, the more outdated it appeared.

First of all, the staff was amazing; everyone was very polite and helpful. My room was spacious, painted with a wonderful grey colour which was very eye-friendly. The bathroom was pretty big as well- the water pressure was wonderful and many mirrors were installed. The bed was big and comfortable, with the matress and pillows being not too soft and not too hard either; they were just right. Many cafes, bars and places to eat are all within walking distance and the hotel is also very close to the Friesenplatz U-Bahn station, so moving around the city is very easy.
