Wonderful place to stay

The hotel was very unique and beautiful inside. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The roof top bar was fantastic and a great place to end the night. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Europe. They had vegan options for me that were awesome. Still dreaming about the vegan spread ❤️

Unique building - great rooftop bar

Unique building, comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. Great rooftop bar with fabulous views - we enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine up there. Staff were also great.

The hotel furnishings & fittings are a little dated. Shame you can’t get out onto the balcony to enjoy the view from the room.

Good hotel but with drawbacks

An interesting building architecturally with a rooftop bar. The rooms have a modern decor and are very clean. The breakfast has quite a large range of options and most of the staff are exceptionally pleasant and welcoming.

For some reason, the rooms on levels 1 to 5 have under floor heating which is left on during the summer making the rooms incredibly hot, even if you leave the window open over night and have the aircon set to the lowest setting. After the first night I told the staff that the room was too hot and they organised maintenance to turn it off. They did this and by the second night it was better and then the next day after that it was perfect. The only problem is that by the third night it was slowly warming up again and when I woke up, it was stifling again. I checked out that morning, so it didn't matter to me. This is a totally unnecessary action from an 'eco hotel'. The bedroom of the standard rooms is very small and the bathroom is tiny, no room to even dry yourself. This would be okay if the price of the room was cheaper, but when you are paying top price this seems unreasonable. The rooftop bar is a great marketing tool for the hotel, but it is regularly hired out for events, so guests of the hotel are restricted from using it at those times. Again, one feels that there is little value for the high price one is paying. The neighbourhood is a little far from the centre of the city and is not in a 'prestigious' location. You can walk into the centre from there, but again, the price of accommodation is a little high for this location.

Breakfast is amazing. Location is unfortunate, but I believe the tower was built before the surrounding area. The bar on the 11th floor was a little expensive, but the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were lovely.

I expected much more from a 4-star hotel managed by the Hilton group.

This hotel is in one of the best locations for anyone wanting to visit Cologne. It’s close to everything—you can reach almost any place you want within 15 minutes. The staff was absolutely polite and helpful. I would give them 5 stars.

The most important issue was with the shower—the hot water kept switching between hot and cold every minute, which was very uncomfortable. Also, the photos shown when booking the room are random. For example, if you see a photo with an arched brick window view, it doesn’t mean your room will have it. You need to specifically request that type of room, which is not ideal. Our room had a patio, but the door to it was locked and we had no access. There wasn’t even a window we could open to let in some fresh air. The flat-screen TV was quite outdated. These days, TVs should at least support features like screen mirroring or apps like Netflix and YouTube. This is especially disappointing considering it’s one of the most expensive hotels in Cologne. The iron and ironing board were also in poor condition.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, nice extra touches like bottles water and an Easter biscuit. Everything we needed in the room. Friendly check in. Extra comfortable bed and great shower. Really interesting building and different/special place to stay.

There was an event on in the bar on one of the nights and the music was unnecessarily loud and traveled down to the rooms below. One of the lifts was out of service so sometimes had to wait to reach the room.

room and en suite were comfortable, breakfast was well presented and enjoyable. after my travels i was looking forward to a coffee and snack, at first all i could find was a room on ground floor where self service coffee was available only?

i booked here as i was interested to see the building, however the area was not good in my opinion.

For tourists, the location is not preferable but manageable if you're a fit and good walker. On our last night, it was very noisy on the rooftop bar: we could hear the bass from level 4!!!!

Perfect

As a trouble sleeper I particularly appreciated comfortable pillows, blankets and bed linen, not so many hotels can satisfy my requirements to bedding. Thank you. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, nice building design. The facility has a nice garden and several quiet and cozy rooms to have tea/coffee and enjoy it in a comfortable armchair with a view. Definitely the hotel of my choice in Cologne. P.S. Wooden room key-card also adds to the experience❤️
