Okay, just okay. Could be cleaner

Good location

Not clean enough for the money you get, shower was visibility dirty with some mold for example. Otherwise it wasn't dirty but it was also not completely clean. Aside from that there is 0 room cleaning during your stay. I don't know if that was attributed to the time of year (late December) or if this is the type of hotel where you're not supposed to stay for more than 3 days.

The staff of the hotel are very kind and welcoming. The hotel is well located to all facilities. There’s even a small sauna if someone is willing to relax.

Great Location!

The location is really great! Close to all the main shops, many restaurant options, and close to the main tourist points in Cologne (DOM) is about 15 min on foot. The breakfast has a lot of options. The staff is very friendly!

Comfortable Hotel in central Cologne

Room was spacious & comfortable. A nice breakfast with good selections to suit all tastes. Best of all for me, there was Parking available at the property (for an extra cost 12 Euro per day).

The area has late nightlife with bars and restaurants and can be noisy late into the night. However, the windows in my room were able to block out the street noise so this was not a problem

Worst experience ever

Nice view from the room

The staff (specially the owner) was pretty rude in all interactions. All the forniture in the room was old and the carpet on the room was completely filth with a lot of stains. Apart from that, the room was really hot without any way to cool it down. No air conditioner, no fan. It was literally one of the worst experiences I had in my life. I would not recommend the place to anyone.

Good breakfast, careless staff

The breakfast was surprisingly good. Very much recommended.

The hotel allegedly doesn’t have a storage room for keeping the guests’ luggage. Anyway, I asked the staff if I could let my backpack stay till the evening of my checkout day and they told me just to leave it on the staircase. When I came back the backpack was in the same position as I had left it, nobody cared to stow it away or hide it. It could have been stolen…. quite disappointed. Such negligence!

Good hotel with friendly staff

Staff were super friendly (from front desk to cleaners, everyone was super friendly and helpful). Hotel is centrally located, and is less than 20 mins walk from Hbf/Köln cathedral. There's plenty of tasty restaurants nearby and the hotel has a sauna and room had a mini fridge.

Didn't realise it was Carnival (Köln was chaotic)!

Very good with some issues.

Quite hotel with very friendly small stuff.

The parking entrance was very small, the hotel door is closed after 10 and you have to ring the bell for the reception to open it up. An electric key would solve this issue. Also, the washroom lock in my room was broken. Also, there's no view sincd the hotel is in a narrow street and it's basically not possible to have a nice view anyway. However, I had a positive overall experience due to the friendly employees.

Perfect base for a trip to Cologne.

We have stayed in this hotel many times but not for the last ten years as have tried others in Cologne. Thought it was time to go back and it was a good decision. From the street it is not very impressive. It is on a narrow side street with a small terraced frontage with a roll up door garage entrance. Don't be put off by that. It is a super base for a Cologne visit. If you are travelling by car the first job is to walk the ten paces into reception to ask them to open the garage. Once inside, your car is securely parked within a few paces from the side door to the hotel. Reception staff are really helpful and check in takes but a moment. Our standard room was a few metres from the lift and stairs so no long corridors and the first (and lasting) impression of the room was very good. Very smart decor and the largest double bed known to man. My wife joked that she would have to phone me to talk in the night. A couple of chairs and desk and plenty of storage for clothes. A small TV (with BBC channels), tea and coffee making, plenty of sockets for charging kit and room to move around without falling over each other. The small shower and toilet room had almost boiling hot water within a second or two of turning the tap and a door opened out to a small balcony. No view other than the back of other buildings but useful for smokers. Location is good for easy walking access to the huge town centre shopping and Dom. The old town is a little further away. Just about OK for my 75 year old legs though. Now to the last big plus. The breakfast. The largest selection of breakfast items to be found in a hotel. A selection of cheeses and meats plus smoked salmon slices and too many other items to mention covers all tastes plus fresh coffee served in china pots at the table. All in a very clean modern breakfast room. Finally. The only hotel we have used since COVID that still cleans the room and makes the bed every day !!

no housekeeping, and when I asked about room cleaning the receptionist replied that the room is cleaning every three days so I have no right to request the housekeeping to clean and tide the room, of course I have never seen this situation any where in my life.
