Location

There was a door inside the bedroom leading to another room. It was closed, but during the night someone tried to open it, which was very scary and woke us up. This information was never shared with us beforehand. We didn’t ask to change rooms because it was only for one night, but I wouldn’t recommend this kind of situation. Besides that, we could hear a lot of noise from the other room.

8/10 perfect for a 1-3 days stay

The staff at the reception were exceptional professional and friendly. Always equipped with a smile. Check in and out went fast, requested early check-in (booked a few hours before) was possible, and we received a room with a very beautiful town view. Also a small reclamation we made was taken seriously. Breakfast was quiet good, the bread was bakery-fresh, just as the pancakes. Bonus points for: -> the tea service station, where you could brew your own tea with tea leafs and add freshly cut additions like ginger or mint leafs. -> small safes at the front desk for free usage to store your stuff safely. ->also positive to mention: the little "snack station" at the reception which is opend 24/7. -> beautiful view of the saloon to the "Telekom" Tower -> cute christmas decoration at the outside of the hotel

we found some spinderwebs and a dirty spot in our room. Also the staff at breakfast was not very polite and some kind of rude. 5 min before breakfast was over, we overheard a conversation of the staff chit chatting about people still staying at the saloon. The prices of the snack station were a little over the top. 3,50€ for 500ml water.

Pleasant and hassel free.

Hotel was very clean and modern and convenient and in a good location. Overall I was very happy. The parking was also very convenient.

Sometimes my room was a bit noisy because I could hear people in other rooms making noise and doors slamming. Breakfast was too expensive, so I never had breakfast in the hotel.

Clean and spacious bedrooms. Not very well located, in relation to the city centre.

Spacious, modern and clean rooms.

The location isn't great. It appears to be in between two of the main tram routes, on the outskirts of the city, which involves a lot of walking over a weekend. The elevator is so slow. Frequently had to wait a long time to get back to our room. I also think the extra charge to use the very basic sauna facilities is unfair. We payed over £450 and were still expected to pay more to use the sauna, which was only availabe for use in the evenings anyway.

Shabby amenities, good breakfasts

- Good breakfast with multiple choices (vegans, sweet teeth, diary product lovers will be pleased also) - spacious and fresh looking dining space - nice personnel in breakfast zone - always professional, helpful and kind, many thanks to them :))) - view on the back street is fine with lots of greenery

- no fridge - poor soundproofing for the rood door (it was perfectly audible how my neighbours opened and slammed their doors) and for the ceiling (was also not willingly in the know of the sex life of my neighbours above). - no dempfer/lift on the toilet lid, so a couple of time I let it bang occasionally waking up my neighbours - app to mange your stay (eg order clean service) is buggy and outdated - plug got stuck several times in the sink hole, making it impossible to get out, and water collected to the brim - plug hole in the bathtubs is YACK :((((( really disgusting, and could use some renovation - better not to look inside the electric kettle - you’ll discover a repulsive image

Very nice hotel

Great service. When I wanted to drop off luggage before check in time, they looked into the system if my room is ready and it was 🤩 The personnel was very helpful and the whole check in and check out process was super simple and fast with their assistance. It is near tram/Belgian quarter/ nice brunch places... Amazing stay in Cologne!

Not impressed by the value for money ratio

Close to city centre, friendly staff, lovely basic room.

Room needs cosmetic repairs, shower head didn't stay up. Breakfast was borderline, dry hard rolls, hard bacon, rubbery top off the fried egg but raw eg white inside, dried out cheese which started curling up. Chip in glas. 10 euro discount for a breakfast that cost 56 euros for 2 people isn't really covering the food for the travelling we had to buy instead.

Very nice front desk staff. Surprisingly well equipped gym. And also super nice sauna, spacious, clean, comfy quiet area.

That you have to bring back your used, wet bath rope down to the check out to get you deposit back.

The room was very spacey and well-decorated. The bed was super comfortable. Clean and tidy. The hotel is near to the park.

There is no fridge in the rooms. Also the hotel is little bit far from the center ( around 30 min walking to the Cathedral)

The location of the hotel was very good. The staff were helpful other than the one bar staff. Every other person was nice.

The hotel only house single duvets to accommodate double beds. The one bar staff wasn't very helpful on requests. The breakfast is very expensive, costing at €25 per person with only limited food.

Room was good but maintenance should be more proactive.

A crib was supplied as per request. The bed was comfy and there was a nice view outside.

There were a lot of big blue markings and some damage to the walls of the room, from previous guests' suitcases? 2 pictures of a few of these markings added. This damage should have been noticed and fixed without my mentioning it. Went through online check-in, but this wasn't registered at the front desk.

Perfect for a few nights in Cologne

I liked the breakfast. The room is very welcoming and there is a nice choice at the breakfast buffet. The room is really comfortable, there is a bottle of water included in the price. The hotel restaurant is nice as well.

Excellent place to stay in Köln

Very clean, good comfortable bed, spacious room, nice staff. I was there for Karneval so in the hallway there were always some sweets and goodies for the guests. I found this super nice. 2 mins walk there is a tram that leads direct to the Neumarkt, so this is very convenient. There is a bar in the lobby, which I didnt use, except for the coffee to go for one morning(and they didnt charge me… maybe due to Karneval :) )

It was very warm in the room, and I could not really open the window while sleeping since there is a busy street beside the hotel
