This well located hotel boasts access to all of Cologne while been quiet enough to allow for a good night’s rest. Breakfast is filling and the rooms (especially ones with a balcony) are clean and modern without feeling generic.

The friendliest staff ever. Great beds, a bath and all this in our favourite neighborhood in Köln. This is my absolute favorite in Germany. Always happy to come back here.

Comfy bed. Fridge in room. Nice furnishings.
Good neighborhood. Did not feel touristy.
It was very cold. Radiator supplied to help heat the room. Using radiator creates very dry air.
Did not like shared bath because hallways were drafty. It is an unusually cold winter.

The bathroom although shared was very clean and nice.
There was a nice grocery store right across the street.
It was too far for walking downtown and my room was tiny, the room overlooked the back of the building. Not really their fault but it was rather expensive for the room to be so tiny with a twin bed…. Still I guess because it’s köln

The location is perfect, close to university and city center. the bed was really confortable and the curtain darkened properly the room.
The second night I had trouble sleeping because of the noise from the neighboring room in the middle of the night. Internet was pretty slow.

Exceptionally friendly, accommodating staff. They helped with things like supplying crockery, booking a taxi, organising extra bed linen etc- nothing was too much trouble.
We'd booked a room to sleep 2 adults and 2 children. When we arrived in the early hours of the morning the sofa bed hadn't been made up and there was some confusion about what we'd booked when we talked to reception about it. I don't know if that was a Booking.com issue or a local issue but it wasn't ideal with 2 grumpy children after a delayed flight. Anyway, we got it sorted and it was fine but the children complained the sofa bed was uncomfortable and the curtains in the living room are just nets which isn't ideal. The main bedroom was comfortable, however. In the end, we paid what felt like quite a lot of money to accommodate 4 people... €315 per night but really the living area isn't really suitable for sleeping in.

Room had mold, the bed was small, and overall I would not recommend this place.

Stylish hotel in a trendy part of town. Supermarket right across the street.
small suite was an exercise in sparseness. Downstairs space presented two plastic chairs, no sofa/sofabed, no curtains - just blinds. Electrical systems a perpetual mystery, and bathroom down on the first floor, bed up on the second. I told the front desk I was lightly disabled, but no option presented for a single-level room.

Great location.
Room was very small. Bathroom was shared and smelled. Staff were okay. Restaurant and bar was not open in the evening.

Very comfortable and clean room. Firm mattress. Spacious bathroom. Great location in walking distance to grocery store, cafés, restaurants, public transportation. Friendly staff at the front desk.
Nothing to mention

We were greeted by the most friendly staff ever, very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Beds are very comfortable and there was a little fridge in the room. We will certainly come back here.

We stayed in the cube (room 54) which was really unique and had great views. We enjoyed the balcony. The staff was also extremely helpful. I rented a bike from them a few times which was simpler than going to a shop. They also helped my group get a taxi to the train station. The location is fantastic, very cool neighborhood with lots of cafes and bars.
The cube has its downsides - mainly light and heat coming in. There are custom curtains but in the summer it still gets light early. It was quite warm while we were there and the mini split AC can only do so much. But airing out the room in the evening with the windows open helped - we were still able to sleep well. Just don’t expect to spend all day in the room comfortably in the summer.

Really liked it. Unusual, generous, very comfortable, anything but a chain hotel. Loved the location. Great team who run it. A wonderful find. (Getting an upgrade because there was a friendly mix-up helped ;-)

Location is close to (5 mins walk) Rudolf Platz station. Connects to all part of town quickly. Nice cafes around. Lady at the reception was kind and polite during check in. Bathroom was small but tidy. Opp a departmental store so you can pick up stuff.
Stayed with Family during exhibition at Cologne Messe. Extra bed was put in the room. The bed had pieces of glass which was bright to the notice of the staff. Even after their cleaning another piece was found. Luckily did not get hurt by it. Seems a poor job of cleaning and maintaining. Was expecting some discount towards the stay for this poor upkeep .. all we were offered was "free" breakfast for one morning!

nice terrace, quiet spacious and correctly furnished.
reception staff was really nice and helpful.
room was clean and spacious
there was no real possibility to get the room dark. there were curtains, but they only covered a small part of the multiple windows. I guess that I would have loved the room for the light in dark wintertime, but with the sun rising before 5 am, it was impossible to sleep
for us the staircase between bedroom and bathroom was not practical. but, indeed, I was aware of this beforehand, so not a criticism

The place is located in the Belgian quarter and it's actually of art historical significance. Except for the nice reference in terms of name to Chelsea Hotel in NY. Which was the joke which made me book a room - that and the affordable price - I also got to later on remember that the hotel and its associated café have been the hangout of a well known german painter. The pictures and posters on the walls should have also been a tip. But I realised it later on! :) The staff was gracious enough to cue me to this. But even if it would have been just a matter of facilities, I can attest that all is cozy, clean and friendly.
Absolutely nothing.

Really well situated and the price was good that weekend. The hotel is perfect for a short stay so I will repeat it for sure. Also it,s very clean and the room is quite big.
The parking is a problem in all Koln. Parking in the streets is 1 euros x 15 minutes!!! That it not a problem of the hotel... but we need to think before consider top be central in the cituies.
