I’m a big Dressing Gown person on holiday… I love a dressing when I’m getting ready & unfortunately there wasn’t any but I completely get this is a very little thing.

Central location, decent sized room. Friendly and polite staff.

Wobbly shower fitting over a slippery corner bath. Wetting the bathroom floor is unavoidable when showering. Old, flat pillows. Gloomy lighting even when all lights are on. Damp smell. Severely over priced room and then an additional EUR18 for a mediocre breakfast in an overcrowded space. Staff so slow to restock basic items like cups, cutlery, breakfast items forcing guests to linger in an already crowded space. Really not what you want to deal with first thing in the morning.

Overall, a strategically well-placed overnight stay in Cologne

Very friendly and helpful staff. Some art in the corridors. The location was perfect for shopping: you are in the main shopping street just when stepping out of the hotel. Also access to trams to cross the Rhine in direction of the Cologne Lanxess Arena e.g. (3 stations away). It is just a 10 minutes walk to the Kölner Dom or to the riverside. If you are not a big fan of breakfast buffets, there is a charming coffee shop a few meters from the hotel, in which you can have a cappuccino and a piece of cake (sitting inside or terrass, no car traffic).

The shower head in my room was so calcified, that it was painful to use with high water pressure. I decided to buy vinegar at a shop nearby and treated it over night to make it nice for the next days (problem perfectly solved). There was also a smell on the corridor, a bit more fresh air would have helped. Tilting the window was possible in the room, so that nuisance was not perceivable anymore.

The Worst Hotel Experience We’ve Ever Had We stayed at this hotel for five days, and not once was our room cleaned — despite us requesting it every single day. Each day, we had to go to the reception to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. We repeatedly explained that housekeeping was not showing up, and every time, staff claimed they didn’t know why but assured us the room would be cleaned the next day. It never was. At one point, a receptionist who didn’t speak English had to ask a German guest to translate for us. Once again, we were promised the room would be cleaned — and, once again, it didn’t happen. The room itself smelled bad from the moment we arrived. The bathroom’s exhaust fan didn’t work, it was constantly hot and stuffy, and the place just felt dirty. To make matters worse, we couldn’t even open the windows most days because it was raining, which made the air inside unbearable. Breakfast was also a disappointment. We only tried it once because of the rude waiter, who told us we had to book in advance and that we had no priority to eat there — even though the reception gave us no such information when we prepaid that morning. This was absolutely not what we expected from a 4-star hotel — and definitely not worth what we paid. A total rip-off. Would not recommend.

Lovely hotel, great staff who are caring and considerate, would recommend to anyone staying in cologne!

Lovely and clean, perfect area if wanting to be central. Left a note when booking to say we were celebrating our anniversary and they left us a bottle of champagne to share :) Would easily stay here again when we return!

It is a nice hotel and worth the money.

The room was nice and clean. There were restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The staff was professional and helpful.

The elevator wasn't working and my room was on the top floor. It was exhausting walking up and down the stairs.

Covers and duvets had holes in them, the pillows themselves where yellow and gross. Not even fully covered by the duvet Just overall an awful value for money. Would never go here again

Stuff of reception was helpfull

When you pay at least 325 for night, You expect clean room without dust, clean carpet, bedsheets without straps... The slidings doors to Wc closes very difficult.

The hotel was in the centre of the city near to all of the public transport. Easy to get around. Very clean room.

I didn't have breakfast there as it was too expensive. There are lots of places nearby where you can get breakfast. Also TV didn't work but there was nothing they could do until Monday after I had left

Good location. Nice alternative look of the hotel rooms.

Despite having the AC off it made a lot of noise right above our bed. That was very annoying so I had to sleep with earplugs in. The bed shelf was all dusty. The bathroom wasn’t presented online, which we understood right after we had arrived. And we did not even get more than half a toilet paper roll…

location is perfect if you want to go shopping or go to the christmas market (and parking nearby) junior suite is quite spacious breakfast has enough variety (and big coffee mugs) the wellness center is around the corner and has plenty of things to do, definitely a must go if you want to relax during your stay

did not recieve a lot of information on checkin: wifi code and location of the breakfast, so nothing about the breakfast card, location/info of the wellness center... first evening we wanted to go to the bar to hear that it was closed, but apparently it was not. the room was a bit dark for my personal preference in the bathroom there was a bath and possibility to take a shower in the bath, but the showerhandle was not adjustable (so a little bit messy if you want to take a shower)
