Good stay except a small problem (noisy circumstance around my room assigned).

Good option for Central Cologne

The room was very nice and clean with wide opening windows for fresh air. The bathroom was also spacious. Breakfast was very good and the gym is pretty good for a hotel. The location is ideal - 5 minutes from the centre without being in too noisy/busy an area.

The Lindner Hotel is a well run, clean, comfortable and friendly hotel in a great location.

The staff that I spoke to were all very polite, friendly and helpful. My room was a twin single bedded room. It was very clean and plenty big enough not to feel claustrophobic. The bathroom was clean and had everything that you would expect in a hotel bathroom. The shower had good pressure for and invigorating shower. The bed was also very comfortable. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city, just a five minute walk from the cathedral and the train station, and within easy walking distance of a good selection of bars, pubs and restaurants. I would not hesitate to recommend the Lindner Hotel Cologne Am Dom to anyone visiting Cologne.

Very comfortable hotel, short walk to the train station, Cologne Cathedral, shops and restaurants.

Room was very comfortable, with opening windows to allow fresh air in. Buffet breakfast was good, with a variety of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, very close to the central station, Cologne Cathedral ,shops and restaurants.

Weather was quite warm, and the room did not have individual adjustment of air-conditioning , hence the room was hot in the afternoon. Luckily we could open the windows in the evening.

The location is great. Short walk to the Dom. Room is a nice size with big bed. Only air conditioning did not work

There is no real nice bar/lounge area to sit down comfortably The restaurant is in the bar and couldn’t serve us drinks because they were too busy. Car park under hotel is great but limited space

I would definitely book it again for another stay in Cologne or recommend it

The staff at the reception and at the breakfast were really kind and friendly. The room was very clean and we had enough space even with the third bed in the room. The location was very calm but close to the main shopping street, Dom and central station. We enjoyed the pool and the gym was outstanding for a hotel.

The hotel didn't had any parking for the customers, but I was able to book an underground parking that was just a few minutes away by foot.

It was OK but I’ll stay elsewhere next time

Good location

Breakfast was OK, but not great. Coffee wasn’t great, no oat milk or dairy substitute, fruit salad tasted bad, few vegan options. I was told at checkout that I had to pay a city tax of 119euro. I gave my credit card to pay and was told I would receive a receipt by email. This did not happen and after making enquiries I was told that the city tax was only 5euros. When I called the hotel to ask about the charge the person on reception was rude. I asked for the invoice to me sent to me and now have a copy.

Good location, rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The restaurant downstairs had really good food.

The light switches were underneath the pillow so sometimes during the night I would accidentally turn on the light.

Good car parking fasilities in center part of Cologne. Close to Central Station.

Breakfast does not meet the best practices of 4-star hotels. Cooperation with an adjacent apartment block is not beneficial. Outdoor views with unfinished buildings are not encouraging.

Great value for money, a comfortable and quiet room, with a great breakfast.

We were very happy with everything about this hotel. It was close to the train station and close to the cathedral. Our room was very quiet - we looked out over a pretty courtyard, it was probably the quietest room I've ever stayed in! We appreciated the tea and coffee in the room. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, the shower was powerful and hot. There was a fridge and TV. The room was cleaned daily. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. The breakfast was very nice, in a pleasant room, with fresh waffles, cereal, fruit, cooked items, cheese, ham and bread, coffee and juice, etc etc. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Good stay in the center

The hotel is in a good location - 5 min walk from the Dom and at the same time in a quiet area. We have got the room with the view on the construction site, but it’s not a big deal. Hotel breakfast is nice and has lots of options - savory and sweet. Nice coffee and fresh juice. In general I would recommend this hotel for an easy stay in the center of Cologne.

Beds were ok, but undersheet was a bit noisy when you move. I also woke up in the middle of the night sweaty because I guess the undersheet didn’t allow the air go through.

Great location, but cheap bedding makes sleeping hotter than the sun

The location is great, 5 mins from the cathedral and main train station. Staff were all very friendly, the breakfast is fantastic (there's a crepe and waffle station + a real honeycomb for honey!). I had a look at the gym and pool area - they're part of the complex next door, which seems to be some kind of inpatient physio facility! Rooms were big with lots of storage and hanging areas for clothes.

Unfortunately, a lot of the good things about my stay were undermined by the fact that this 4 star, Hyatt-affiliated, hotel has made the inexplicable decision to use plastic or rubber mattress protectors under the main bedding. For the first 3 nights of my 4 night stay I kept waking up drenched in sweat. At first I thought the room was too hot, I even considered whether I'd started perimenopause, but at 4am on the third night I discovered the plastic sheets. And, of course, plastic undersheets don't allow body heat to dissipate and can make people feel very hot. On the fourth night I used the duvet from the other twin bed in my room as a base sheet and hey presto! No sweating. The basic function of a hotel is to provide a decent night's sleep. For the sake of cheaping out on mattress protectors, this hotel fails.
