Couldn't be nearer to the railway!

I have stayed here befor, and the hotel is actualy on the railway station! Maybe not the most charming hotel, but convenient and with wwell-planned rooms.

In the station, next to the cathedral - perfect location and surprisingly quiet.

Rooms on the station side were nice and quiet and still get a good rooftop view of the cathedral.

Breakfast was pricey so we didn't opt for that.

Price good value ratio is very good.

Location is literally inside the train station and in front of the am dom which is so good. We did not need to use public transportation. Sound proof is so good you dont hear any voices inside the room.

Rooms are a bit small, no safe, coffee machine and no towel for hair.

Great bang for your buck

Great location within walking distance of plenty of shops, restaurants, and the train station. The view of the Cathedral from the rooms is spectacular! Very comfortable beds. Quiet rooms considering they face a major plaza. The bathroom is set up fantastically. Feels secure even though one of the entrance doors is in the train station.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, and we’d happily stay here again!

What we loved: - Impeccable cleanliness — this was the cleanest hotel we encountered during our entire trip. The room, bathroom, bed linen, and towels were spotless. - Warm and helpful staff — everyone was polite and supportive throughout our stay. We arrived early, left our luggage, and went out to explore. Check-in was smooth and quick once it began. - Perfect location — the hotel is right on the main square, next to the Cologne Cathedral and the central train station. Our room on the second floor had a direct view of the cathedral. - Peace and comfort — despite the central location, the windows blocked out all noise when properly closed. - Ventilation worked well, and the climate control kept the room comfortable. We slept soundly. - Cozy and modern — the room was compact but very cozy, with new furniture and thoughtful touches like plenty of hooks in the entryway. - Nice morning gesture — we checked out at 5 AM and were offered warm buns, which was a lovely surprise before a long journey.

The room lacked a few toiletries like shampoo and facial tissues, but this didn’t affect our overall experience.

Liked it, managed to rest before another long journey to London and Edinburgh.

Location was fantastic. We travel by train so any hotels near train stations meet our expectations, but this was fabulous as bonus is the proximity to a stunning Cathedral that we visit every time we are in Cologne and a beautiful walk alongside the river. The room was clean although the carpets in the room (well hoovered) seem a bit dirty - stained (as if never washed- just hoovered?). The door in the room we stayed was not great either - hard to close, but we managed, so all well.

The door not quite closing was a bit of a stressor, apart from that, nothing.

Based within Köln/Cologne Hbf so very convenient location if you use the train.

This was a rather bleak hotel, not a typical Ibis. I disliked the fact our first room was not ready, clean or with made beds. The second was fine. Despite a checkout of up to 12noon we were disturbed by cleaners four times in the morning.

Good option for solo/two travelers with awesome location and view to cathedral.

I stayed here at the end of May/start of June and overall really liked it. The room was small for two people but clean and comfy. View from the window was amazing, right onto a cathedral. Bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. I also liked that I could leave my luggage at the hotel for as long as I needed before heading to the airport or train station. And the location is perfect — literally inside the station building, which was super convenient.

The only downside was the lighting — it was a bit too dark for me. The carpet didn’t feel super fresh — not dirty, just a bit worn.

Really good hotel, very close to the station - probably too close.

Wanted to be close to the station to ease getting to the airport the next day. This is as close as you can get so in that sense the location was great. Very nice staff checked me in early and the room was nice and the bed comfortable.

The truth is that this is too close to the station. It is inevitably quite noisy. Also the Cologne Cathedral bells at 07:00 might not be welcome for everyone.

First trip to Germany

The location is fantastic however if you are given 4th floor the view is of the station roof. One pillow each one towel. No hand towels. The toilet seat is very stained and really should be replaced. It's a basic hotel yes but for it's location it could be so much better

Internet was down so a lengthy check-in. Not their fault. Only 2 bath towels.No tissues, no kettle, no magnifying mirror.

great location and decent breakfast spread

can’t beat the location, especially if you’re arriving by train. There is also literally a back door (with guest door key), at reception straight into the station. the breakfast was also hearty (not bacon & eggs), but my daughter loved the waffle machine, and the croissants and pastries were baked fresh in their oven each morning. I also loved that whilst our room was small, the space was considered and there was storage for suitcases.

I know the hotel is a 2 star, budget accommodation, but there was literally a hole in the top sheet at the fold/chest line which was a little disappointing.
