Don’t expect much about comfort, if you want to stay close to city center.

In the heart of the city and walking distance to every need.

Small rooms and shelf next to bed. I hit my head in the middle of sleep and hurt so much. What is the logic of making a shelf higher than bed height. Later I realize there is a small pillow just to avoid hitting but why? Revise your shelves, go sue your architect.

Lovely room, great location.

Nice big room, maybe because we got a room for wheelchair users (which we are not). Nice welcome by the professional staff.

Nothing we did not like. Only small thing missing was an enlarging mirror in the bathroom. Being close to the Dom you can hear the bells at 7.45 am.

Pleasant stay and ideal location

Location to the main station was ideal - walking distance. Excellent proximity to the Christmas markets. The rooms were clean and in a great condition.

Wifi was spotty at best. Pillows were basically folded over blankets are really flat. Duvet comforter was very small and the mattress itself was hard.

The hotel and room do NOT look like the photos shown online. The rooms are dingy, extremely small, the heat turns off at random throughout the night, we booked a room with a queen bed and received 2 twins.

I love that it’s at center of all attractions, such as multiple Xmas markets, Cologne Cathedral, shops and eateries. The staff was so friendly and they even decorated my room for my birthday!!

Well-located hotel in the centre of Cologne

The hotel location is ideal for a quick access to the train station and is close to the old town and river.

Room 101 where I stayed is directly off the staircase and next to the lift (elevator), so there can be extraneous noise from people coming and going. Other rooms where I have stayed before are nice and quiet though.

Location was perfect, placed equally between the train station and Cathedral and the shops and river front. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Rooms were comfortable and of a good size. Buffet breakfast was very good.

A good hotel that does exactly what you expect it to do

It’s a very solid accommodation: the room was well-equipped, clean and comfortable. Located right in front of the Dome. A hearty breakfast included scramble and other hot dishes. Despite a very central location, it was pretty quiet in the night.

Perfect place to stay on your visit to Cologne -

The hotel is very close to the train station, and is in a relatively quiet location. We walked to all of the sights, and there were so many restaurants nearby. Shopping district is also within a two or three minute walk. Never had the need for public transportation (we even walked up to Flora Botanical). It was very a nice hotel - clean, updated, etc. We didn't expect much, but were very surprised by this hotel - absolutely loved it.

No complaints, we were all very happy with our stay (three rooms).

Great location in Cologne, even better if you can get a room with Cathedral view

We’ve got a suite with a terrace with a great view to Cologne’s cathedral. Location is perfect, just a few steps from the cathedral. (Paid) Public parking is available round the corner.

The hotel entrance has a small stair (4-5 steps) in the entrance, not very comfortable if you’re arriving with heavy luggage.

Value during the big dental conference wasn't very good.

One of the sheets was not clean. Shower wasn't very good and raised platform of shower was a bit dangerous to get out of. Water leaked out from corner shower doors.

Am Dom Hotel review - Close to it all

Fantastic location, all the major attractions are in walking distance, good breakfast at the hotel. Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

The pillows were very worn out, too soft. I had to ask for a second pillow to get the necessary support to sleep but even with that it made no difference.

Parking was a little difficult to navigate but once we found the underground garage it was only a short walk to hotel. Parking was €12 per 24hours which I thought was reasonable.

Central location with very good amenities

Very central location. Our junior suite terrace was a wonderful bonus with views and outdoor seating. Our relative also had a small balcony and views from their room. Very comfortable bed and room, with good hanging space, seating space and clean modern bathroom. The staff were helpful and responded to requests.

Had to visit the bar to collect tea to take to the room instead of room service. It would be wonderful if a kettle could be provided in the rooms. The staff were polite and helpful.
