Loved this place.would have stayed longer if time permitted .

The views over Monterosso and the mountains was spectacular. It was situated in a peaceful area high in the hills. The provision of a courtesy bus was great to get down to the beach and shops. The manager and workers were extremely helpful and kept you informed of things to see and do and how to get there. Breakfast outside on the verandah overlooking the views was exceptional.

Slightly remote clean hotel with great breakfast.

The hotel is placed on the top of the vineyard above Monterosso. Naturally, the view is incredible. The rooms are very clean with a modern bathroom. Breakfast is incredible with excellent service (not buffet) and so many choices. The hotel also offers an hourly shuttle into town, which we never used, preferring the walk into town and back (quite some elevation and wear good shoes like sneakers or better). The remoteness guarantees a quiet night to get away from the tourist masses in Monterosso.

The Wifi worked but was a bit spotty (not great in our room).

A very memorable and happy stay.

The location is stunning, perched high with the lush landscape that reaches the sea. There is an ancient path or there’s an hourly shuttle that runs into town.The young energetic hostess who brought us breakfast was a wonderful staff member and kept the dining room running smoothly. La Cabana knows the business!

Perfect in every way

The little touches were lovely, dressing gowns and slippers, lovely toiletries. The staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was delicious with different choices and local produce. Shuttle bus up and down to the beach was brilliant if you didn’t fancy the walk! The views were incredible. Absolute stunning location.

Situated on a hill looking out to Monterosso al Mare - it was beautiful and very close to the main area. The property was surrounded by greenery and you really felt like you were living the Italian way.

The views, the breakfast and the staff people are amazing. We're very thankful for the complimentary shuttle they provide for guests to go up and down to and from the city.

Perfect stay

Beautiful location, breakfast, staff and more! The hourly shuttle was so convenient and was a wonderful social thing between guests. There was a very sweet cat that we saw often too. Our room was wonderful and everywhere you looked on the property was like a post card.

The breakfast is v measly. Only a lot of bread. Not much protein options. No ham nor cheese. And we were only given 1 fried egg each. I think for the price they charge, they should be more generous with the breakfast.

La Cabana is a gorgeous property in a beautiful location! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the junior suite which had a fantastic view and a hot tub for our enjoyment after long days of hiking. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. La Cabana is up on the hill and provides a shuttle service to get to/from town which was very helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Really peaceful.

The location and view are great. You really can reach the village by walk easily (~10min) and you still have the possibility to take the shuttle down the village (every hour, for ~ 5min). The parking is free. The staff is really nice and the breakfast are incredible. Our room was really nice, big, and really clean/comfortable. The bathroom was really nice too.

La Cabana is a lovely house on the hill on the top of Monterosso with a big garden full of olive trees. We had a beautiful view over the Cinque Terre coast from our room, a save parking space for our car and a delicious breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was very relaxing, comfortable, and well accommodated.

The room was great - comfortable, clean, and with sufficient towels, and good air conditioning (once I realized the windows had to be shut to turn it on - LOL!). We also asked to change the room because my partner became ill and felt better sleeping in a separate bed. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating to meet our needs, even when we took a bit more time to make the decision to move. Also, the breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, including espresso/coffee; fizzy and flat water; fresh juices; scrambled and hard-boiled eggs; many breads, pastries, jams, and other toppings; meats, cut cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, musli and toppings, yogurt and milk and so much more. We also ate dinner at the hotel. I have to avoid gluten in my diet, so I was delighted to find so many options at their restaurant. I had the seafood pasta, which was divine!

There was not anything we did not like about Hotel Lago di Garda in Malcesine. The location was great for our needs. We did not mind walking back from parking the car, but it is important to know that the lot is located about 0.5 miles from the hotel. I wish the staff had directed us to access the lovely walking path along the lake soon after crossing the road from the car park. However, they might have and I had just missed it in listening to the initial instructions. This is not a criticism, just a suggestion for next time.

I liked the breakfast, it was served at the table and there were many options. The staff was kind.

The rooms are standard and the bed was not very comfortable. The place is far from the city center. There is not parking if you want to stay at any other place. The overall price is too high to be in the countryside in Italy.

Incredible stay, exceeded all of our expectations. We got to the hotel from the train station via taxi but all rides thereafter were provided for by the hotel's free shuttle service. Incredible views, beautiful property, and one of the best breakfast services I've had in Italy. Highly recommend.

Perfect Quiet Guest House in the Hills

This guest house exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and comfortable. Cleaned everyday and the aircon was powerful. So much choice for breakfast, service was excellent and the view was breathtaking. I am a solo traveller and felt very safe. I took advantage of the transport to and from the property. The transport has La Cabana written on the side of the black car. I would highly recommend this place.

A wonderful place to stay in Cinque Terra, up in the mountains but with easy access to the seaside.

Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful. Parking was free on-site. Phenomenal view of the surrounding area, with beautiful walk down to the town. Easy shuttle service to the beach and back. Very friendly staff.

There isn't a 24-hr front desk, so check-in had very restricted hours (only until 6pm), which weren't disclosed on the original booking website; this unfortunately meant we had to rush from our previous location, and couldn't take a nice leisurely drive there, because we would have missed check-in.

Beautiful place but not so quiet

The place is wonderful, a real paradise to Relax and enjoy the view

I can't talk for all rooms but we had a room with the mountains views and we could here all noises from the other rooms, people talking.. The toilet flush is extremely long and noisy. The room was also just under the terrasse where the breakfast is served and the sound of chairs feet sliding on the floor would surely wake you up.
