Great spot!

Location was great. Staff were cold and some were actually unpleasant and made us feel like a we were unwelcome. Room was clean, pretty and we loved it.

A Real Treat!

The hotel was right on the beach. It was beautiful. Very vintage. We had a view of the ocean from our room. It was very convenient to shopping, restaurants, etc.

Beautiful beachfront property with amazing views. Many restaurants nearby. Great breakfast in the mornings. Elevator for luggage (and for those with mobility issues).

It was perfect.

The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very attentive. I appreciated everything they did for me. As an 80 year old woman I was so grateful for the use of the elevator to get up to my room. I could walk down but not upstairs. Everyone was very kind, courteous and considerate. My daughter and I had a fantastic stay.

No elevator. We could not use the hotels beach front tables after breakfast was over. The seats were vacant shame of property would be nice to sit in the afternoon enjoying the scenic views

Great position, but basic inclusions.

We loved the location, right in front of the beach.

We received a room at the back, so would have liked an option for a sea view. No laundry or ironing facilities available. We were directed to a place charging 35 euro for a bag of laundry around the corner. We were told they had their own private beach but it cost 35 euro for the day. Staff were ok, but at times stood in the doorway smoking.

Location

I had to continually ask for information since none was provided at check-in. I had to ask where and times of breakfast. I discovered by accident that they rented beach towels. Needed to ask how to rent their assigned beach chairs. Their lift is not easily accessible. You will need to provide your own shampoo and conditioner. You are provided with only one very small envelope of body gel. The dryer was totally useless—I just left my hair wet. The bathroom is extremely small.

Good value for a perfect location!

Perfect location! Close to the train and right on the beach! We found the staff, on most occasions, to be friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

One evening, after a day of excursions, we wanted to enjoy the last hour of sun. We asked the gentleman at reception if we could hire a lounger, but he told us it was too late as they would soon be packed away. We therefore made our way to the beach directly in front of the hotel and laid down our towels. To our surprise, we were told by the hotel owners that we could not sit there and were asked to move to the public beach. What made this particularly upsetting is that the owners themselves continued to use the loungers in that same area. As paying guests of the hotel, this was mortifying. We were fully prepared to pay the €35 fee for a lounger, but instead were left feeling unwelcome and very disappointed with how we were treated.

Location is INCREDIBLE

Everything - the location is directly on the beach with a private area and beds for hotel guests! This is such a huge perk as the beaches are so busy and fill up quickly! The hotel was clean, staff were great, breakfast was tasty and the rooms had everything we needed including great air con and showers! The restaurants close by were great and the train stations only minutes away (which means no hills or steps to get there) the old town is also only about a 10 minute walk away meaning you get the best of everything staying here!

Great hotel, location and stay!

Wonderful location, quick walk to the train station. Rooms were clean and tidy, comfortable bed - would be nice to have an additional pillow. Breakfast buffet included. Private outdoor seating area. Cheap beers and water. I booked two rooms and we got the outdoor terrace where both our rooms opened up to this area, with chairs and tables and sunbeds - wish we got to make use of this area more. Elevator for bags, which was a bonus! Own private beach area with a good rate to hire out a sunbed for the day!

There isn't anything that we didn't like. We got asked to not move the chairs around outside as we had friends who joined us for a drink, one staff member allowed this to occur however another staff member was not happy the chairs were moved - this didn't impact our stay and I would recommend staying at hotel baia.

Loved our stay, ocean views from our balcony were Amazing!

The location was ideal for arriving by train, views from balcony were superb! Enjoyed having breakfast whilst sitting outside with ocean views. Room had everything we needed.

The staffs are not helpful. Very difficult to communicate with. We booked for 2 nights, the train was late for 90 mins from Milan , the staff told us to find another hotel to stay in Milan because no one will wait for us. I paid 450 Euro per nigh and this is the service we got. We had to pay an extra night and take morning train to the hotel. We came all the way down from the other country just to enjoy the beautiful of this place but too bad the people here were not very welcome. I reason I chose this place because we had to carry our big luggages to connect 2 trains to Milan airport and this place is just next to train station. I’ve read reviews, mostly complaining about the staffs which I wish it’s not going to happen to us, Well. If you have better choices don’t choose this hotel, it’ll ruin your holiday.

An excellent choice in Monterosso to explore Cinque Terre

We chose Hotel Baia for the location and access to the private beach and very happy with both aspects. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that the room (on third floor) had access to a terrace, with sunbed and view of the sea (though slightly blocked by the neighbouring building). The room itself was spacious, clean and very comfortable AC to help with the summer heat. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Lastly, there are outdoor tables along the seafront for hotel guests to use for breakfast, and evening drinks (order from the hotel bar).

There is only 1 lift for luggage use and it is a bit slow. While it was not a problem during our stay, be aware you may need to walk up the stairs for rooms on higher floors.

Location simply the best beach front. Going to sleep with the sound of the waves rolling in was wonderful.Close to the railway station about 100 metres.

I can understand it is not easy to retrofit an older building, but there was no guests toilet/bathroom on ground floor, and if we wanted to use bathroom at breakfast time or sitting outside in guest area tables (for drinks or breakfast) on beachfront , we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to room(or use lift if it was available. Otherwise, nothing.

Staff, the man at the front desk was so so kind, the breakfast staff not kind, ask for water before our 2 hour hike and only 5 min before breakfast opens, I was yelled at and told no, I said pretty please just a small glass I don’t want food just a glass of water we will miss breakfast, she rolled her eyes and said here and pushed the water towards me, very very rude. The next morning before our 2 hour train ride, I tried to take a very small pkg of cookies and was told noooo noooo and she waved her finger side to side at me, and then I was watched the entire breakfast like a hawk to make sure i listened to her. We loved Monterosso but would pick different hotel, because of staff.

Great location

Handsome looking hotel in fantastic location on beachfront. Just a few minutes walk from Fegina Car Park and train station. Nice beachside tables for evening bar or breakfast ( unfortunately it was raining in the morning so couldn’t take advantage of this). Good continental breakfast with big mugs for a cuppa. Great for one night stay when walking Cinque Terre

The bathroom was cramped but difficult to avoid in a building this old. I thought there were tea making facilities in the bedroom but not. The lift was very small. We used the stairs to the third floor- what’s a few more steps when you are walking the Cinque Terre!
