Perfect stay in an amazing area

Excellent location, perfect host, very caring and attentive. Loved the fact Marco provided a map of the area with recommendations for eating, laundry, supermarket etc. So easy to find. Marco provided a summary of the train ticket options for Cinque Terra and how it all works. Overall could not ask for better.

Wonderful location with excellent hosts.

This property is right on the beach. At the time of year, we went you could have the windows open an listen to the waves. It was amazing. We didn't really hear people on the boardwalk. The view is amazing. The location overall in the town is great as it's not far to restaurants on the top side of the town and only 5 to 8 minutes to the old town. The property host was fantastic and they have amenities to help you enjoy the area. He provided direction on trains and things to see and do. They have built a guidebook in the lobby area and even have umbrellas.

No real issue for us but I would note there is no elevator if you need one. I would assume it's busier in the summer than the end of October when we went so that might impact the location.

LOVE the property, highly recommend.

Fantastic stay in Monterosso! Marco was waiting for us at check in, full of information & maps. He was available during our entire stay for help if we needed. The room is wonderful, overlooking the beautiful waters and beach. So close to the train station it was very easy to find and get to quickly. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful & Best Location

The location, room, and host were fantastic! I have no complaints at all—it was everything we could have wanted and more! The host was helpful, provided us with drinks, and offered great recommendations. They were super responsive and assisted us in navigating hikes, beaches, restaurants, and more. I highly recommend this place! We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Monterosso!

What an exceptional location in Monterosso. Beautiful view outside our window, we were probably only 10 metres from the waves. Our host Marko was so very helpful in providing us with every detail so that we could enjoy our stay, from restaurant recommendations to suggestions on things we'd like to see and do whilst in the Cinque Terre area. It was the best.

There was nothing that we didn't like. This was perfect.

The location was perfect and that view was spectacular! We loved that we could sit on the balcony to have some meals or a drink if we wanted to and just look at the ocean - best seat in the house! Marco was excellent checking us in, spending time to give us all the information we needed.

The cleaners would come into the hallway of the 3 apartments at 6am on a couple of mornings we were there and wake us up being very noisy with doors and locks to access the linen cupboard. We felt that could have been avoided at that time of the day.

The apartment was in a perfect location across the road from the beach. Marco greeted us on arrival and kindly went through details with us. He was very warm and welcoming and gave great advice on restaurants etc.

Fabukous apartment overlooking the beach

Al mare guest house is in the perfect location overlooking the beach. Right out front are restaurants, wine bars, gelato bars and literally a 2 minute walk to the station and 5-10 mins to the old town. Marco greeted us upon arrival and explained the unit and the town and the facilities. He assisted us with our train tickets. We loved our stay at Cinqueterre and we highly recommend this property,

Charming stay in Monterosso

Our stay at Al Mare Guesthouse exceeded all of our expectations! In comparison to other hotels and AirBnBs that we stayed in during our trip, at this geusthouse we felt the most at home. We were welcomed by our host in person and he was kind enough to give us a map of the town,together with recommendations about sightseeings and amazing restaurants. We are also grateful for the unforgettable gifts! The location of the accommodation is more than perfect - just a 2 minute walk from the train station. Our apartment was on the second floor with a great view of the other parts of Cinque Terre and the sea. The apartment was spacious, with two rooms that were clean and well maintained. We couldn't be more happy with our choice and we can't wait to come back again someday!

Exelent landlord, who came and met us at the train station in Monterosso and followed us to our room. I loved that the room had a fridge and hair dryer. Fantastic beds, clean and nice. We can recomend this place to all. We will be back for sure.

It was close to the beach and we had water views. Marco was there to greet us and helped us with our bags as well as suggesting which local eateries to use. We loved being so close to everything.

Best property that we have stayed at in Italy!

The location could not be better! On the beach and very close to the train station (but no train noise). The room had everything we needed. Even the partial view was more than expected. Marcos was an amazing host! He made us feel welcomed, had great advice, and he even checked on us afterwards to make sure that we made it safely to our next destination. It has been years since we have had this good of an experience!

Perfect base to explore Cinque Terra

Excellent Guesthouse which is right on sea front. There was a train strike on the day we travelled from pisa so we were worried that we would not get there. Marco kept in touch with us and gave us great information on taxis etc. He was waiting for us on arrival and was a great source of information regarding restaurants etc. we had a lovely room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a great bast to travel to the other villages in cinque terra, as the train station is only a minute away. Would definitely recommend

Extraordinary! Marco was the sweetest and most helpful host I believe I have ever encountered.

The room was so spacious and clean! There were so many thoughtful additions to the room as well such as extra towels, blankets and pillows. The location was just absolutely perfect as well! It was right next to the train station and right in front of the ocean. Additionally, the host, Marco, was insanely helpful and kind. My experience was outstanding!

Amazing apartment

The property was amazing. Right next to the train station and the beach and with the most amazing view of the ocean. The bed was so comfortable as well. The owner was great and made sure we had everything we needed and even helped out with train information when our train got cancelled due to strikes. It was our best stay on our 3 week long trip to Italy so far.

Fantastic Central Seafront Location with Balcony

Fantastic location on the sea front with a balcony and less than 100m from the train station. Marco met us at the main entrance to the building (don't be put off by the plywood door). He provided a map of the town with recommendations for restaurants and was very informative. He showed us the room and all the facilities. It was just as described and looked nicer than the photos. The bed/pillows were super comfy and we closed the shutter at night so the room was still dark after the sunrise. Marco went above & beyond when we left - we just closed the door and realised we'd left our passports in the room safe and had no way to get back in! He got someone to us in 10mins to open up the room so we didn't miss our train (THANK YOU).

Marco was a fantastic host and could not be more helpful, we really recommend the sea view rooms and being able to listen the the waves on the beach. it’s just a two minute walk from the train station and loads of restaurants and shops.

The owners son in law who helped us was amazing, he waited for us to arrive, great communication and instructions, and heaps of personal recomendations which were so appreciated. Amazing guest apartment! The location was perfect, right on the beach and right next to train station. The view from the window was incredible. We appreciated that beach towels were supplied. Communication was great, was shown around and given information when we arrived. Air con was great, windows blocked out any noise from the road.
