Wonderful 2 days in Cinque Terre

The owner and staff were fantastic. Really kind and helpful. They helped us obtain our train tickets at a discount. Breakfast was fantastic. The location was perfect-easy to get around with a lot of restaurants nearby. There is a nice veranda we could sit outside and enjoy drinks in private or with friends. Overall truly excellent location and wonderful staff

Unbelievable place managed by passionate people

I can only speak about this place in superlatives. The location is amazing ( in the heart of the historical part of Monterosso). The Facilities are amazingly maintained, and has a brilliant mix of keeping the heritage and bringing in a modern flair. The beakfast is impeccable (Fresh orange juice, bio yogurt, and locale produce), and fresh fruits, And I have to mention the owners and the team as well - everyone shows utmost hospitality.

Amazing staff and location. One of the best places I stayed. Everything was clean they even kept fruits and coffee and orange juice that you can take anytime till 7 pm . The owner was very helpful, explained everything and helped us buy train tickets as well.

Our stay was lovely and we would definitely recommend it.

The breakfast and pastries were amazing. There was an orange juicer and (as someone who loves cold drinks) an ice maker which made my day. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about hiking trails. I also liked the location of the property.

The rooms were a bit small, but it did have a desk and we just used it for sleeping and it was worth it for the rest of the experience.

The property was beyond beautiful and the location felt like we were in a movie scene. Unreal! We kept having to pinch ourselves because it was so magical. The breakfast patio overlooking the quaint Lytle Street is wonderfully decorated with fresh flowers everywhere. The breakfast, which were included in her stay, or absolutely fresh and delicious.

A relaxing oasis in charming Monterosso

The hotel was in the center of old town. Convenient to restaurants, beach and rail stations. An active area but room is quiet. The managers and other staff is amazing and helpful to provide tickets for events and such. The breakfast on the beautiful deck was a wonderful start to the day with a good variety of options. Wish I had booked longer

The B&B Locanda II Maeatrale was wonderful! Giovani and Stephania were great hosts! The room was clean and cozy. The hosts recommended a nice restaurant, Ely, and I ate there and next door at La’Osteria as well, both were great! There is free water to refill water bottles at the hotel and breakfast was great! Highly recommended!

Dream stay

Best guesthouse I've ever stayed at! Perfect location at the main street, but still very quiet, wonderful breakfast at a beautiful, relaxing outdoor terrace with fresh berries, eggs, delicious ham and cheese etc. Very friendly and service orientated host. Very comfortable beds. After one night at another place I am already dreaming of coming back.

when other people in the property use their showers you can hear the squeaking of the pipes - it’s very high pitched and woke us up in the night. unavoidable but perhaps bring earplugs to help with this if you’re sensitive to noise

A gem within a gem.

Giovanni and Stefania complete a wonderful experience. This is my 3rd stay at Locanda Il Maestrale and it/they never disappoint. The only reason I have not stayed there when in Monterosso, is that it is booked. The personal attention they share and the details offered (my friend was SO thrilled with their little ice machine!!), set them above and beyond the others. I hesitate to share a glowing review, because I know that is going to make my 7th visit even more of a challenge to reserve. :) Breakfast on the terrace is such a treat. Wine in the evening with the resident little rana is lovely and relaxing. The terrace offers a place to be at the hotel, but still enjoy the sites and sounds of Monterosso. I had a friend with me this visit, and am always a little nervous that my likes, are not someone else's. No need to worry here. She also gave a glowing review. Grazie mille Giovanni & Stefania! A presto!
