Perfect stay in Monterosso

Perfect location in old town Monterosso, easy access to train station and many restaurants. Hotelier Gabriele gave us great and useful info for our Cinque Terre stay--he cares about his guests' experiences.

It was wonderful. Note, serious steps to reach rooms and breakfast, so the mobility impaired might need to think twice.

I had a wonderful stay at Stella Della Marina in Monterosso. Gabriele was an absolute gentleman; friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, offering great local tips and always taking the time to help with anything I needed. His genuine care and attention to detail really made my stay special. The accommodation itself was spotless, comfortable, and ideally located for exploring the Cinque Terre. Great centrally located hotel in old Monterosso al Mare (located on quiet street)

Charming little hotel right in the centre of the old part of Monterosso al Mare. The hotel was on a quiet street, right off the main street that if full of people walking through the old part of Monterosso. So, the location was excellent. The hotel it self had that old town feel to it. You had to walk up several flights of stairs to get to the room (if have issues with heavy bags or walking up many stairs, inquire at check in for a room on a lower floor). We got the highest room, which offered wonderful views of the city, chuch tower, the monastery, etc. I believe it was room 10. AC worked like a charm, which was necessary. Our room was spacious but with a small bathroom. There was a mini-fridge in the room with beers and wine. The guy at the front desk was wonderful. He really took the time to explain everything and what to see, where to hike (as we were hiking to La Spezia via Cinque Terre), ferry schedule, etc. The breakfast was small but had all that we needed - the standard fair. There was inside / outside seating. The outside seating had great views, a nice place to go in the evening and have a glass of wine. Would definitely come back again.

A wonderful stay which has left happy memories of Monterosso and the Cinquaterra

Excellent location and lovely big room and en-suite, all spotlessly clean. The owner of the property looked after us very well and gave helpful suggestions of what to do. We enjoyed a delicious rooftop breakfast each morning. Montorosso was a lovely town to stay in.

The host Gabriel was the kindest most helpful person. He truly takes pride in his hotel. The moment my husband and I met him, we knew we made the right choice of accommodations. I asked for a sea view and let me tell you our patio with the view was EXCELLENT!! If you want to stay in Monterosso, look no further, you will be very happy here. Gabriel is a genuine, caring all around great guy. He will make your stay unforgettable!!!

A perfect place in Monterosso

Super recommended! It's been the best accommodation during our couple trip in Europe. The host Gabriele is very kind and gave us all the hints about the trip in the Cinque Terre. The room is magnific, renewed, clean and huge, with fair price, very functional. The breakfast is excellent, with fresh food and with the sea view from the terrace. The paid car parking lot Loreto and the train station are near to go by walking, very easy if you are traveling by car or by train. It's placed in the heart of the village and a few steps from the beach. It will be certainly our place when we go back to Cinque Terre!

Excellent host and hotel in Monterosso

The room was very clean and the hotel is located steps away from the water. Gabriele is a fantastic host and made all of his guests feel welcome from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. The breakfast in the morning on the terrace is a great way to start the day and Gabriele makes great coffee. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Cinque Terre!

Perfect place to stay

Perfect place to stay in Monterosso! We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming host, who was eager to share lots of helpful tips. The place was immaculately clean and well kept, and really cosy. Breakfast was great too, with plenty of options for people with food allergies (gluten-free, lactose free alternatives). It was served on the terrace, which offered views of the sea and the historic city centre. It was a real joy to start our days there. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Happy memories

You couldn't ask for a nicer, more welcoming and helpful host. Very impressed and we hope to go back one day. The historic building has a gorgeous entrance and staircase. The absolute highlight was breakfast on the terrace with sea view and view of the many historic centre buildings and hills. We loved our little balcony too where we could see the comings and goings in the street below. The hotel was kept immaculately clean, but of course there are steep steps to get up to the terrace which aren't really a problem.

You feel at home in a quiet yet central location.

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel at home. Beautiful building on a quiet street tucked away in the centre of the town. Every detail of your stay is taken care of. The rooms are so unbelievably comfortable. It all feels like there is a personal touch. The breakfast is just right . With a gorgeous rooftop terrace to enjoy it on, with a view of the town and the sea. 5 min walk to free local beach or a 10 min walk to all the beach clubs . This hotel with only a few rooms is quite special. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Everything. Gabriele is a great host, he is very responsive and helpful almost on everything you might have asked for. The hotel has a beautiful terrace with a nice view and Gabriele prepares a great breakfast with plenty of options. My room was very spacious, bright and airy, I really found it very comfortable. The slippers in the room were a bonus😀

Amazing location and lovely owner

The hotel is conveniently located in the old town next to many great bars and restaurants. The sea is also a mere 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Gabriele was a phenomenal host, incredibly attentive and a very kind man. We would recommend this stay to all those who come to Cinque Terre.

- great location. 7 mins walk from the station with no steps. Close to start of hike and beaches. - host was helpful, friendly and gave us great recommendations - Spacious and clean room - comfortable bed and good AC - Beautiful terrace for breakfast. - Good selection of breakfast options and host offered us a take away breakfast to take on our hike.

Nice, great stay with a great host

Gabriele, the owner, is very caring, nice and super helpful. He gave me lots of good information upon arrival, made my stay very pleasant and comfortable. The hotel is right at the center of Monterosso which is very convenient and easy to reach from the station even with a big luggage. The property is clean and well maintained. I would definitely choose this place, if I come back to the area.

All the good things you read about this place are true; it’s clean, very comfortable, centrally located and serves excellent breakfast. The best part is the owner Gabriel however, he goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need and enjoy your time in monterosso. If I ever come back I’m staying here.

The location was wonderful, space was clean, and the host provided a great breakfast spread complete with made to order cappuccinos which saved us so much time (and money) in the morning! He also provided recommendations for hikes, restaurants, and more and made us truly feel at home.

The location was spot on in the heart of Monterossa. The host gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner and was very helpful, as well as charming. Breakfast was wonderful and there was the ability to eat outside.

We had a wonderful stay at Stella Della Marina! From the moment we arrived, Gabriele was incredibly helpful—he took the time to orient us with the property and offered great recommendations for lunch, dinner, and hiking between the towns. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Our room was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent—a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfasts were a real highlight, especially the cappuccinos, which were some of the best we had on our trip.

Lovely stay with nice host

During our week in Italy we stayed in three different hotels and this one was absolutely the best! The location in the old town was very good and Gabriele was very helpful and easy to get in contact with. The breakfast was good and he made fresh coffee for everyone in the morning. The room was a good size and the baby crib we had booked for our daughter could easily fit. I can definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Probably the best thing about this accommodation is the owner, Gabrielle. He was welcoming, full of information and a map of the area, gave us recommendations for dinner on our 3 nights, and helped us with our bags. He made a great coffee each morning at breakfast!
