We loved staying in old town. So many restaurants and little shops, very charming. The greetings of locals toward each other lends a charm that only a small town can. A morning snack was provided, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastry, coffee bar, tea. The common living space is bright, clean, cheerful, and included a laundry machine with outdoor clothesline out the window. So helpful! The bell tower was charming, the music from the street cafes was relaxing, we even heard singing from the church. Will be back for sure. This was our break from city tours in Florence and Rome, and it was perfect.

Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect location in old town. The hosts were kind and gracious. The adult daughter checked us in and explained how to use the washer (line dry). Laundry detergent provided. They provide some pastries, yogurt and fruit for breakfast. There is a basket with two beach towels which we made use of-the water is crystal clear and was warm enough for us to swim (late September). Tip: when you walk out of the street go to the beach on the left. They charge 25€ for 2 chairs and umbrella. The beaches over by the train station charge 40€.There are three rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The rooms share the kitchen area and washer. We barely saw the other occupants because everyone is out and about. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. This was our third week traveling in Europe and probably my favorite place

They had a/c in each bedroom but even after it had cooled down, the room was a little warmer than I wanted. But we still slept fine.

Wonderful place in Monterosso.

Clean and comfortable room. Great location. Short walk to reach the best beaches in Monterosso and the train station. Restaurants are right outside of the building. Hosts were very welcoming, and helpful.

A wonderful guest house with friendly hosts in a beautiful location

The location of the apartment was perfect. The room and shared area were very well and thoughtfully equipped. Thank you for the extras including drinks, fresh pastries and toiletries. Also very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a fantastic time in beautiful Monterosso.

Great stay in Monterosso and close to beach, restaurants and entry to hike of blue trail.

Loved the location and host. Super friendly and helpful! She also owns a shop nearby where you can purchase some great gifts to bring back memories of your Cinque Terre visit. Convenient washer and coffee machines available.

I didn’t realize the living room for the triple room is a shared space, but no one was there when we were around. So it wasn’t too bad.

Love A ca da Alba!

Francesca and her family made our stay flawless! They provided a lovely breakfast. The building is in the lower part of Monterosso, so we didn't have to climb any major hills. The room was clean and well appointed. Wish would would have been able to stay longer!

Would have liked a 2nd set of keys so we could have split up.

A Sweet Little Spot

I have visited Monterosso 7 times and usually try to stay in the same couple of places. This was my first stay at A cà da Alba. I was very familiar with the location, so that was my driving factor. The check-in was very easy. I was met at the little family shop a couple doors down and received the key and a quick tour of the room. The decor of the room was very unified (especially pleasing in a small space), and well chosen. I really liked that there was a bit of a divide between the “entry” and the bedroom. This helped keep things neat and tidy. Although the room is small, it is ample for a short stay for 1-2 people.

My only negative would be that the common room was very cramped and much more random in its decor. This, of course, is not a biggie to most, but when such care seemed to be taken in the room, it was a bit of a surprise. I also think giving guests a quick “how to” on the washer dryer would be helpful.

The room was lovely and very clean and perfectly quiet, yet located right in the heart of the town. The hosts were extremely kind and accommodating.

The hosts were so lovely. Location was an 8 minutes easy walk from train station. Close to restaurants and convenience stores. 5 minutes easy walk walk to start of trail.

A charming little place with a few rooms and a common kitchen with a sitting area. The owners were super nice and assisted with all questions. Great location in a beautiful town. Close to the train station. The restaurant across the entrance served heavenly bruschettas and an excellent lemonade.

The property was well decorated and very clean. the extra room with seating, snacks and drinks was a very welcome extra. the host was very kind and gêner - drinks and pastries and a stocked free fridge in our bedroom. the location was fabulous, in the old town and very quaint. Exceptional.

A ca da Alba was the best place we stayed during our entire trip to Europe!

Everything at A ca da alba exceeded our expectations. The room, furniture, and bathroom facilities were all very clean and updated. Every morning, fresh pastries were waiting for us in the common kitchen area, even though breakfast was not included in the description on the website. This was a very pleasant surprise. Federica and her parents were all delightful to work with, and so kind. We loved the location: near the beach in the old town part, right by wonderful restaurants, and an easy walk to the train station. We can't wait to return one day!

Perfect location and amazing hospitality!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here - it was our favorite accommodation from our 10 day trip throughout Italy! The location was absolutely perfect, tucked away on an adorable street with lots of shops and restaurants around. Very walkable to access the main road in Monterosso and the water! Federica and her family went above and beyond to welcome us. By the end of our stay, we felt like we were locals because of how welcomed they made us feel! They brought a huge breakfast spread and everything you needed for coffee to the suite every morning, and were so generous providing recommendations for everything we needed! They were always around if we needed anything, which was really helpful! The rooms were very clean and comfortable - our family of 5 had everything we needed! The price also cannot be beat for all that you get. I cannot recommend this spot enough - it really is a gem. Grazie!!!
