Hotel Porto Roca is a destination location and should be on your list!

The view looked out at the sea and the bay in Monterosso. It was an Exceptional view. The room was large with a sitting room, bedroom and large bathroom. The towels in the bathroom were heated (a nice touch) as was the floor. The infinity pool and hot tub were clean and the pool side bar and restaurant were fantastic! Dinner in the formal dining room again didn't miss a beat. Service was top notch, and the food was nearly the best we had during our 17 days in Italy!! Would go out of my way to stay here again!

I would like the shuttle to pick you up at the train station and not at the bottom of the hotel's drive. When you are pulling large or small suitcases and a backpack the walk from the station to the bottom of the hill seems a lot farther than it is! :-) Some of the furniture in sitting room and bedroom could be updated given room rates, and as always more plug-ins at bedside and sitting room (USB-C and USC-B).

We loved our stay, we will be back!

We just stayed at this beautiful hotel with my family and had the most wonderful experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views from absolutely everywhere — our room, the restaurant, the breakfast area, and even the pool all offered incredible panoramas that made the stay unforgettable. The staff was amazing — truly one of the highlights of our stay, specially the Venezuelan brothers — they were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, with plenty of options to choose from, and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant.

If we had to mention anything we didn’t love, it would be the decor — it was a bit rustic and not particularly stylish. A more modern touch would have really matched the overall vibe and setting of the property better. Also, in the bathroom, the amenities could definitely be improved. The shampoo and body wash were the same product, and there wasn’t a proper conditioner — the one provided didn’t work well. The hairdryer was also quite weak and barely blew any air, which made it hard to use. However, these were only small details that did not impact the overall experience in our stay.

Great hotel with beautiful view.

It was a nice hotel, beautiful view, staff nice & helpful , room stayed cool and was comfortable. La Terrazza restaurant was really good and beautiful view. Breakfast had lots of options like waffles, eggs, bacon, lots of breads, cereals, fruits and yogurt. It was a walk up the hill but wasn’t bad, close to restaurants and town. It was n the trail to Vernazza which was nice. The pool, hot tub and pool bar area were nice when you want some downtime. Being up a hill the staff came down in a 2 seater & at least picked up our bags so we didn’t have to drag them uphill. Would definitely stay again.

Trying to reach it with a car was more difficult. We parked in a garage across the small town and walked with our bags. Hotel helped pick the bags up so we didn’t have to drag uphill.

Beautiful old hotel in stunning position.

Lovely hotel on the cliffs with fabulous sea views. Fantastic swimming pool area, very quiet and laid back. It is situated 5 mins walk out of the town and up a fairly steep hill so bear this in mind. We walked up every day and it’s ok for most people.

A coffee machine in the room would have been a plus , instead of 1 sachet of instant coffee each.

The best experience everr

The location is amazing you can see the sea and enjoy the magic of the mountains around you. We loved the Jacuzzi moments so much. Located in a beautiful area where you can feel the intimacy and the energy that comes from this historical part of Italy. Thank you to the staff so professional, helpful and knowledgeable.

The location is unbeatable. The staff at reception is extremely nice and helpful. The view from the balconies is breathtaking and the rooms are spacious and clean. I also found the bed very comfortable.

Unfortunately one of the staff members at breakfast was rude (thinking we didn’t understand Italian). Also, some of the guests seemed bothered by our kids playing inside the pool…perhaps not the most kid friendly hotel.
