Tiny wonderful room

Very clean and nice place. Just sitting inside you could enjoy the beautiful scenery and watching tourists pass by. Although the room is tiny, the place is really clean and functional. The reception lady is pretty helpful to check in with us. The only elevator was broken that day, sh e has no hesitation to carry my luggage upstairs. Enjoy the stay

Perfect location at the sea with Cafe, trees, dinner garden at the curb. Comfortable bed, cotton sheets, lovely view window, but tiny bathroom.

Passable but wouldn't stay again

Staff were pretty dismissive and unhelpful. One of the doors was difficult to open and when asking the staff they said that door is left open which was surprising, only to have the same issue (locked door) the next night.

Love it, I shall return!

I have to admit I was sceptical initially knowing that this is 1* hotel but I was very impressed with what I found there. A small hotel, located on first level of a building located on the promenade, facing the seaside, few steps away from Monterosso al Mare train station. Very friendly English speaker staff, ready to help with what you need and give you advice about the area. I asked for an iron and immediatelly they gave me a modern steamer. Restaurants, old town and the beach a step away from hotel. Large room with confy bed and a full body lenght mirrow in the room. A small bathroom not with a very modern taps but...all working well! No need for more! Safe box and fridge in the room... I fully recommand this hotel, do not avoid it because has only one star...it is a very shinny one :)

Mycket bra och prisvärt boende med bra läge och trevlig personal!

Jättebra boende! Läget var perfekt, nära till stranden, staden och det fanns ett mycket bra café till frukost i samma byggnad. Rummet var fräscht och sägen var mycket bekväm. Personalen var supertrevlig och hjälpsam! Om jag åker tillbaka till Monterosso bokar jag helt klart detta hotellet igen!

Hyper bien placé : sur le bord de la promenade de bord de mer, à 30 secondes de la gare, au pied de l'hôtel des cafés/restaurants pour manger prendre l'apéro et le petit déjeuner , à 5 minutes pied du centre ville, et proche du sentier de randonnée pour atteindre les autres village.

Tolle Lage, schöne Meersicht aber mit kleinen Mängeln

- Lage direkt am Strand, an der Promenade und in der Nähe von Bahnhof, mit toller Meersicht - Sauberkeit - relativ kleines Hotel, gemütlich - Kaffemaschine und Wasserkocher verfügbar - leckeres Frühstück und ein gutes Restaurant für Aufpreis im gleichem Gebäude vorhanden - relativ leise für die Lage an der Promenade (manchmal hat man Gespräche gehört, aber gar keinen Lärm vom Zug)

- relativ hoher Preis für die Grösse und Ausstattung des Zimmers. Ohne Meersicht wäre das Zimmer höhstens 50 Euro pro Nacht Wert - defekter Haartrockner - defekter Aufzug - dünne Wände - schwache Lärmisolation - man konnte Gespräche von Nachbarn hören - manchmal ein bisschen lärmig, da direkt an der Promenade - es hat keinen Kleiderschrank gehabt - kleines Bad mit WC-Schale direkt vor dem Waschbecken. Also man kann auf Toilette sitzen, gleichzeitig Zähne putzen und/oder Füsse waschen unter Dusche - für Manche ein Vorteil - eine Kaffemachine und ein Wasserkocher gemeinsam auf Korridor pro ein paar Zimmer auf einem kleinem Tisch ohne Wasserzugang (man hat von Zimmer holen müssen) und ohne Mülleimer

The location was amazing, close to the station with a sea view. We were in one of the newly refurbished rooms which was really modern and comfortable. The location allowed us to explore all of Cinque Terre and Monterosso was fantastic - highly recommend

Location was the only thing that was ok

The room was moldy, the bathroom stunk like rotten garlic and sewage. The water in the shower got burning hut suddenly, my daughter burned her shoulder and her hand trying to turn it down, I asked the rude woman in reception for ice, she yelled at me “ you expect ice in a one star hotel?”, no compassion for a young person who got burnt. She also charged us $12 tourist tax for a 2 night stay, it should have been $8( 2 euros per person per night), she yelled again that it was $3. Not welcome at all

Worth because of seaview!

The location and the window view are just perfect! Room size is normally not too large as normal for hotel standarts. Despite you have to adjust reception hours, it is not a big problem. It was great that we could leave our luggages after check out and had all day extra in Monterosso(just need to pick it up during reception working hours). There was nice restaurant beside the hotel. During night windows need to be closed because of the noise of main street, air conditioner is brand new. It is totally comfy to sleep with closed windows, sound isolation is good. Boiler was a little bit dropping water drops, but didn't bother us, not a tragedy at all. Staff is nice, we've been given maps of the town and map of hiking ways of Cinque terre. The view of the sea through the window was really TOP of the hotel.

I would NOT recommend this hotel. Our room overlooked an outdoor restaurant which meant we could never have our window open unless we wanted people looking into our room. In the evenings, the restaurant would close up around 11:00 pm and throw wine bottles into bags which were extremely loud. My partner and I were each given 1 large towel and 1 small towel. The hotel did not replace these towels however they did have someone come to make the beds each morning. Our room was connected to its own water heater which ran out of hot water after one shower. There were a lot of cold showers during out stay. The shower door was off of the hinge which made water pour all over the floor from the shower. Due to a tornado in Milan, our entire day on the train system was delayed. I notified the host early in the morning that we would arrive late for check-in. They said that check-in was from 12:00-4:00 and if I arrived from 4:00-5:01 I would have to pay €100 cash. They explained if I arrived after 5:00. I would lose my reservation completely. Because of this, I had to book another hotel on top of already paying to be there for missing the check in time by 2 hours due to weather. When we arrived the following day for check in, the woman running the hotel brought us into her office and said we needed to pay for our stay. We had thought this was already done through booking.com (our mistake) when we said that we thought it was already paid for, she took the room keys from us and said she was calling the police. It all worked out in the end but dealing with her was quite an unpleasant experience for us both and began our vacation on a very uneasy start.

The location of the hotel was great but if you are a light-sleeper maybe not the best choice because it can get a little bit loud early in the morning or at night. Also if you want a luxurious bathroom the hotel might not fit for you. But for us it was great and we would come again!
