Excellent style and location, perfect for a short trip

Room was beautifully decorated, loved all the colours and the flooring. Very friendly staff, we were given access to the room a bit early because it happened to be ready - we weren't expecting this but it was a lovely surprise. The hotel location is very convenient, close to multiple trams and a train station.

Very very minor - no obvious place to hang a damp coat, we didn't want to damage the nice wooden wardrobe so a hook or coat stand somewhere in the room would have been nice.

Exceptional staff provides warm, enjoyable, and comfortable stay!

Staff made this hotel a true pleasure to stay. Breakfast was served with personal care by staff member Janna, and we had a warm welcome and great conversation with front of house staff member Lisa. We appreciate the efforts of the staff who made our stay exceptional.

Visiting Zurich at Christmas is wonderful.

The location is fantastic. The breakfast area was a bit cramped, but the omelets tasted excellent. Friendly staff.

However, the hotel is starting to show its age. There's a slight plumbing odor problem. The furniture looks good, with a weathered look, but it seems to function properly; the shelves are a bit cramped. When we complained about the room being cold, they kindly provided an extra heater.

Petty, poor service

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location excellent

Staff were rude. Moaning about a plastic room key (probably worth a few pennies!) which was left after checkout in the room, but they couldn't find. So what?? Never heard anything so petty Asked for a 1 hour delay to check out, from 11 to 12. Apart from the fact hotels shouldn't be kicking people out before midday they asked for 49 chf to keep the room 1 extra hour. Again totally petty Breakfast was poor. Asked for eggs, but observing the chef not wash his hands after he mopped the floors, before he handled the eggs was both off putting and unhygienic, I left the eggs Finally on arrival they seem concerned we leave a credit card in case of damage to their televisions. Honestly this is a poor way to treat customers There's are a lot better hotels than this

Wonderful location with fantastic staff would stay here again

Location was amazing, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was wonderful.

The pillows were a little bit lumpy, and the quality of the shampoo and conditioner were terrible but other than that, everything was fantastic.

Cozy stay in wintery Zürich

I had a very nice stay . Roomsvery clean . The bathroom was spot less. Nice thick towels were a must . Stuff is very friendly . Very nice breakfast in the morning . Great location. I would definitely come back .

I would love to have tea and coffee in the room . I know I could asked about it but couldn’t bother with that .

A comfortable stay in Zurich!

Firstly the location was very convenient! It’s located near all major attractions and there is tram and train station nearby. It’s a small boutique hotel, very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

There is a bar at the hotel, but they don’t serve coffee or drinks for a specific period during the day.

Very nice hotel in downtown Zurich. We got a very nice family room which was clean and big. Overall experience was very good, staff nice and good service.

Lovely old European style rooms and hotel. Fantastic location. Warm and inviting.

Felt like a big hug when you first enter. The staff are lovely especially the lady who runs the breakfast. (Forgot to ask her name) She makes the best cappuccino with Italian beans and is so happy and bubbly. The hotel is old European style. Simply gorgeous. Beds comfortable, fantastic location, you can drop your bags off early and there is a lift if needed. Thoroughly recommend.

A very nice place to stay for a short visit to Zurich

Easy walk to train connections. Maybe 10-15’ walk one direction to altstadt (old town) and same in the other to chinese gardens. The prepaid breakfasts were really good: omelettes were perfectly cooked and the coffee was so tasty and smooth. The room was sizable and comfy. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

Cool boutique hotel, room was ready early, easy to fine,good location to lake and public transport. Walked to most places from the hotel. Good cafes, bars, restaurants around. Room was clean, comfortable. Good breakfast

I wouldn’t pay that much usually for no aircon, no fridge, and the pillows weren’t great. But, it’s Zürich and nothing is of value!

Great location, but the comfort and value did not meet expectations.

The location of Hotel Europe in Zurich was superb, close to everything and very convenient for exploring the city. The hotel was also very clean, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. The staff kept the place spotless, and the central location made moving around the city effortless.

The bed was very uncomfortable, and I even had back pain after sleeping on it. For a Category 4 hotel, the level of comfort and luxury felt underwhelming.

Nice decoration and building

Upon arrival, you are welcomed by young friendly staff but wearing inappropriate clothing (t-shirt and short pants like tourists) and providing minimum basic service not matching the standing of the hotel. No facilities whatsoever. Basic breakfast with limited options. In the bedroom, very pretty decoration but not functional at all. Bathroom is so tiny with very bad layout: you open the shower door on your toilet space that would quickly become full of water.

Good option for a short stay in Zurich, comfortable and what you need for a couple of nights.

The hotel was very good - breakfast was varied and good quality. Beds were really comfy. Hotel was good, even if the rooms were a bit old, the whole thing has been renovated recently and is quite clean and comfy.

The staff were nice but a bit strange - it’s like if they didn’t want to be there so they weren’t the most forthcoming or went above and beyond.

A very nice hotel in a quiet area. Appreciated the elevator and the location near the lake.

Wonderful property and kind staff

The location was fantastic lovely. Staff were accommodating and kind; I very much appreciated the dog bed. The units have a/c even though it’s not listed. Breakfast was wonderful.

I would suggest that mattress requires a topper to elongate the life span.
