Well run hotel in excellent location.

The breakfast is great and the bed is ultra comfortable. The rooms are nicely decorated. We always enjoy our stay at the Kindli.

Generally hotel rooms overheated in Europe (for our personal tastes). We opened the window because room was too warm and then outside noise of passing pedestrians came in. The shower was not great - taps too low and shower head very small and more suited as an accessory to a bath. We have asked for the same room but with a bathtub - apparently one floor above - for our next visit. PS. We have grown accustomed to it but the front entrance to the hotel for offloading and unloading of luggage is a little tricky with narrow steep road and pedestrian traffic.

Comfortable, friendly, excellent service and breakfast

Breakfast was excellent as was the coffee bar on the ground floor and the bowl of apples and other things, free mini bar. Staff were lovely. Free gifts for the kids when my family joined me for breakfast on Boxing Day.

Shower was leaking. Bathrooms and room was dated but the facilities and restaurant made up for it. Nice bedding.

Cosy hotel in the historic centre of Zurich. Close to the train station. Tastefully decorated. Good breakfast in a traditional restaurant setting.

A beautiful stay in an historic Swiss Hotel that has been elegantly renovated to maintain the charm.

The hotel is the perfect location, walking distance to everything. The rooms are elegantly furnished with small touches that make it special. Comfortable beds, helpful staff and excellent breakfast made it a fantastic stay.

Remember this is a a beautiful historic building, which makes it a special place to stay. It also means the elevator is small and does not go down to the breakfast area so it may not be the best choice for those with mobility issues. Uber cannot access the closed pedestrian only area after 11am so taking a taxi is a better option.

Since it is only a 4 star hotel and very central in the pedestrian zone you have to carry your luggage from the closest parking opportunity to the hotel. Also, the outside can be noisy due to party folk and delivery services in the early morning. Makes sleeping with open windows challenging.

Perfect stay

Hotel is a true gem in the heart of the Old Town. Hotel is very clean, cozy and quiet. Everything is thought through, so that guest feels like at home (staff remembers you and asks about your sleep, dinner, etc., the owner always meets guests in the restaurant and is very friendly), in the lobby you may treat yourself to complinentary fruits, coffee, tea and bottled water. Breakfast is top quality and you also have complimentary mini-bar. It is my best find in Zurich, and highly recommended. Thanks for a perfect stay!

This hotel was wonderful!

The best part of this hotel was the customer service…. It was nothing short of superb. The front desk was super accommodating at check-in and when arranging a car service for us…. But Roman at the front desk went way above and beyond when I inadvertently left my cosmetic bag behind. He promptly and efficiently communicated with me through both phone and email, and tried to send the bag back to me. When security flagged it and returned it to him (my fault due to medications inside), he carefully laid all my items out and sent me a photo of them at my request. Due to Roman’s kindness and contentiousness, I will not hesitate to stay at this lovely little hotel again and highly recommend it to others.

A very short but pleasant stay in the heart of the historic city center.

This is a very nice historic hotel in the heart of Zürich Altstadt. My room had a fantastic view of the city and was very comfy. They have special mattresses from Sweden made with natural materials. It was very soft but in a very nice way. The breakfast is very well prepared. The staff is very friendly and attentive to customer needs.

Hotel Kindli is more than just an excellent location in Zürich’s old town! It’s a high value, boutique hotel, charming, with friendly staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, plus TV & air conditioning, complimentary mini-bar, free coffee, fruit, chocolate and other cakes at reception all day. Each room has just what you need for a wonderful stay! All staff at hotel reception are friendly, helpful and fluent in many languages! Special thanks to Ramona, Oliver and Ramon who made our stay so wonderful. Do not miss Restaurant Kindli for an exceptional dinner! We had the most amazing black truffle seasonal dining experience with lobster, steak, pasta & risotto!! We will definitely be back again❤️
