Perfect in many ways.

There was building work in the morning in room above it sounded like . And the water was switched of in the night by builders and it was running brown in the morning so not great for the shower and brushing teeth. Caused I think from water being turned off. It was a shame the lady on the morning reception would not allow us an extra hour in the room . 1 o'clock . We have stayed with you 4 years on the trot and have been looked after impeccably on all other occasions. The rest of the staff have been wonderful.

Super fancy old school European hotel with modern amenities

This place is super fancy. Opulent, even. Couldn't have a more central location, it's located across from the main train station and walkable to all of the standard old city sites. Breakfast buffet was kind of smallish but they seemed to rely more on a la carte service which tracks with the fancy old school vibe. We had a larger room with a separate bedroom and a pull-out double couch because we were traveling with two teenage sons.

The complimentary chocolates every evening. Reception staff were very friendly and obliging. I had asked for an early check-in as I was arriving in Zürich early morning and my room was ready when I arrived at 9.30am although check-in wasn’t until 3pm.

Great location and top-notch service.

Conveniently located directly across from the train station, this is a top-notch hotel. Every member of the staff was so completely attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast in the restaurant which was buffet and/or order off the menu. Lots of little touches such as fruit and chocolate in your room.

Location across from train station. Very close to old town, with is really amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was a 5-star experience with beautiful room and hotel spaces.

Makes Me Wary

The property was impressive.

The service in terms of your hotel’s recommendation on a simple requests such as 1. A boat excursion on the lake. This request was made as we were checking in. We were asking for your concierge. We asked for suggestions of a boat ride. We were very specific about our stay in Zurich very brief-1Day and expressed this to your staff. We hesitated when offered a bus/boat tour combination. Yet, we felt somewhat pressured to take a combination city bus tour and boat ride by your staff. I expressed my concern about our lack of time again, as we were leaving early the next day. After hesitating, we reluctantly agreed to purchase the tickets. What disappoints me the most in this experience was how the boat ride was not a boat ride. It was a local ferry which drove sluggishly around the lake, picking up passengers from docks around the lake. A water-taxi, basically. For 88 Swiss Francs? I couldn’t believe it!

The bed was uncomfortable too low and a metal retainer at the end of bed caused me to bruise my leg as jutted out and hen I sat on end of bed it hurt my leg.. bit dangerous.

Location was ok (but noisy) because across from train station and on busy intersection. It was clean.

Rooms very small. Not very luxurious or elegant. It felt cheap. Overpriced for what it was. Ive paid a lot less for much better looking and appointed. Reminded me of cheesy US hotel.

Good

The location is excellent, right opposite Zurich Main Station. Just outside the hotel is Bahnhofstrasse, and it's a 10-minute walk to the old town. The hotel staff are enthusiastic, and the facilities are complete. The only downside is that the two glasses for drinking water weren't cleaned properly, which somewhat spoils the experience. Everything else is great.

The cups need to be cleaned thoroughly.

I loved staying at this hotel. The location was very convenient and easily accesible.

The layout of the room was perfect, we were able to close the "bedroom" door and have more privacy. We had 2 bathrooms which is great when traveling with 2 kids. The rooms were quiet, dark, cold and spacious. The water pressure in the shower was great. The staff was really helpful and friendly. We had concierges coming to our room to drop off some goodies for my boys.

Location, location, location … right where anyone who visits Zurich would want to be. I could look out my window at the train station, which is the hub of transportation around the region.

I thought it was too pricy. I knew the price when I booked it, but just thought it wasn’t the best value for my U.S. dollars.
