Amazing Stay in Old Town of Zurich

A charming and cozy place with lots of character. We had our room at the top floor with our bed at the attic. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the cafe downstairs had good food. Located in the heart of the Old Town. Close to the river and tram stop. We enjoyed our walk around the place and cross the main street as well. Nora, the staff/manager was so welcoming and friendly.

Nothing much. Just be aware that you will have to carry your luggages up. It is inevitable when you stay in a historic old building.

Old charm in a good location

It is located centrally. Staff are helpful and responsive. I want to commend the staff, to Nora particularly. I asked to look for an earring of my friend and requested them to mail it back to us in USA using my credit card. I received it today and I would like to thank them for doing this. We even offer to give some reward to the staff who found the earring but they said it is not necessary. So, the charm of the hotel and the honestly and dedication of the staff to their guest deserves a high recognition for this hotel. thank you all. if I will go back to Zurich, I will definitely stay here.

Cute and comfortable room in heart of Zurich.

The location within the city was exceptional and there is an amazing bistro on the ground floor. The mattress was very comfortable. Free coffee, tea and water in the room were appreciated. The staff were friendly.

There were no amenities in the bathroom - no shampoo nor body wash and no hand soap in the soap dispensers close to the sinks. There was just one huge (1L) container of hand soap in the shower. The water did not drain well in the sink and shower.

We had a wonderful time staying at Montemartre. The property was very chic. Location amazing.

The room was very beautiful, the art deco feel was lovely. The restaurant below although quite pricey was so lovely and the Manager was delightful.

The windows need a block out blind on them, as the street lights lit up the room overnight.

Tiny hotel & brasserie located in an amazing location - if you go to Zurich, stay here!

Tiny hotel (2 rooms) with a gorgeous brasserie downstairs which serves excellent food - we ate there twice. We stayed in the attic room which has a tiny outside patio where we sat every night - made me feel as though we were sitting in the clouds! Very comfy room, spotlessly clean. The place is located right in the middle of Zurich Old Town, amazing location, close to everything. Strongly recommended! Also, great staff and owners who made us feel so welcome. Many thanks to Jolanda for a wonderful stay.

A gem in the Old Town

Lovely, quaint spot with lots of character. The staff were pleasant and efficient, the room was very comfortable, and the cafe downstairs had good food and drinks. Located in the heart of the Old Town. Easy check-in. Was able to leave my bags after check-out to explore the city.

It was a great stay as we did not have to travel far to the key parts of the city.

The location is perfect for visiting Zurich. The rooms were large and comfortable, with coffee and tea making facilities.

The stairs to the rooms were steep and difficult to get luggage up and down. The shower rooms are small but still clean and toiletries are provided.

unpleasant accommodation I’ve ever experienced in Europe.

It was just a place I stayed briefly due to traveling between countries, but everything about it was terrible. The staff were unfriendly, the stairs were steep, and the interior was dim—just the worst. Even after I checked out, they harassed me for days over a payment issue, blamed my perfectly fine card, and it turned out the problem was with their payment terminal. Even nearly a month after checkout, they’re still causing me stress over the payment. It was the worst and most unpleasant accommodation I’ve ever experienced in Europe.

Lovely flat in lovely location, lots of stairs

There are three available rooms, we had Maurice. It's was very clean, neat and tidy. It had lots of character in the multiple floors. Downside for us, being older, lots of stairs, some of the super small, which made lugging luggage challenging. Luckily the young man in the cafe helped us get it up to the flat. Cafe downstairs in top notch, fabulous food and wine and generally classy atmosphere. Location was excellent, the only downside to the location was it's proximity to St Peter's and St Peter's bells, which chime every 15 minutes (day and night) and toll the hour, every hour, day and night. It's both lovely and awful to hears the bells (awful at night when trying to sleep 🤪).

Great location

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of Zurich old town and a short walk, even with cumbersome luggage, from the Rathaus tram stop. Perfect spot for a city break. Great welcome and food at the bistro downstairs.

We didn’t receive final key pick up information prior to arrival. Luckily, the bistro was open when we arrived but it would’ve been better to have known in advance (as was advised) of final arrangements as this is not a ‘conventional hotel’. The air conditioner is a welcome addition for summer cooling, but is very noisy.

For the cost I would expect a mini fridge and kettle to be able to make tea and coffee. When you are up at 7 and nothing is open would expect this to be a minimum requirement in accommodation at this price point

Gorgeous apartment in fantastic location!

Awesome location. Beautiful art deco and spacious apartment. Wonderful hosts. We found it easier to take the tram with all our luggage, rather than trudging through the HB train station.

Charming hotel in the cobbled alleys!

We loved the location- it's in the heart of the cobblestone paths in Zurich with little shops and eateries. There is a delightful cafe on the first floor that was perfect! The room itself was charming with a first floor living area and a loft with the bed. Very comfortable and charming! Bathrooms were very clean and nicely appointed.

This hotel's location was a bit further from the train station that we would have liked but was only a problem when we were hauling luggage to and from. The stairs up to the upstairs rooms are steep and hard to carry suitcases up/down but that wouldn't stop us from coming back!

Location, Design, staff, safety, welcoming bottles of water, bed, the floor curtain, sofa, bed and windows were super cleaned. We had all we needed. The owners were really helpful they provide us all the information that we needed even about sim card...

Everything was fantastic but for improvement I would suggest a trash bin in sitting room and maybe changing the bathroom curtain, down part of the curtain from outside had a small yellow spot.

Wonderful stay!

Wonderful staff! Was able to enjoy the bistro as well during our stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The shower is on the smaller side, but we didn’t have an issue with it. The location in old town Zurich was perfect for exploring the city.

We knew about the fact that there isn’t an elevator, so we were prepared for the stairs. Potential travelers should take the note seriously, however, because the stairs were indeed narrow, and go up at least 2 flights depending on the room.

A brilliant introduction to Switzerland.

Completely unique room in the heart of Zurich, beautifully furnished and very spacious. Brilliant communication from host from booking all the way to check-out. Very central with easy access to main station and all sights. Brasserie downstairs does a great breakfast and will store luggage.

Not a dislike more a caution - cannot be accessed directly unless on foot, quite a few steps to room.

Charming &

Montmartre is a cozy spot located in Old Town Zurich. The room was quaint & with it being a duplex (Maurice Room**), it gave us the feeling of being locals. Check-In: It was a breeze, quick check-in & check out. The restaurant downstairs was delightful & offered good options for food. Parking: I would not recommend driving in Zurich as this city is a lot more hectic than expected. But if you have no choice like we did, there are a few carparks & blue zone street parking close by. Keep in mind weekends are busy & the closest carpark might be at full capacity. Overall, the place is clean & charming. I would stay again during the week 🤗

**I will say the Maurice is not tall (height) friendly as the bedroom located above the living room does not have an open space to walk freely upright. That being said, we only stayed one night, so it didn't pose a strong issue. The church nearby, for some reason rang the bells all night or so it seemed not sure if it was due to some celebrations. If you're a light sleeper, that might be an issue but again, I'm not entirely sure if it was for that specific night or every night.
