Perfect stay in Zurich- location, food, people, cleanliness and style!!!

We arrived in Switzerland and went straight to The Storchen. We absolutely LOVED this hotel. It was pure perfection. Clean, big and perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere from this hotel. We picked the perfect place to stay for our first time in Zurich. The hospitality was a delight. The breakfast was amazing.

It’s traditionally old on the outside, but very modern and cozy on the inside.

Relaxing stay, beautiful view of river & lovely food & atmosphere

The breakfast was very good, especially when seated outside on the terrace.

The layout & size if room. The bathroom was exceptionally small. No space & not suitable for a tall person, would have been better as a shower only rather than with bath. The room didn't have enough mirrors - also had odd sofa in conor.a table and chairs would have been better.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location but significantly over-priced for the room we had……I assume at least £600 a nigh

Location was perfect and the view from our room, directly overlooking the river, was beautiful

I completely recognise that Switzerland is not a low cost holiday destination but the per night cost of the room was excessive given the size of the room which, to be honest, at over £1,000 a night I would have expected rather more

Everything is good except breakfast service and there was nothing much to eat

Location

At the breakfast time, I ordered omelette but the kitchen delayed my order for almost an hour and I had to leave because my tour will start soon. The next following morning the same delay took place again which made me upset and I left to eat somewhere else. I stayed in five star hotel, five star service should be given. Regardless of the reason of delaying the order by the kitchen, and I don’t care of the reason because I already paid money to stay in the hotel which makes me no difference than any others.

Amazing and relaxing stay in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town

Very centrally located in a beautiful historic building but with modern and luxurious rooms. Service was superb and breakfast at the hotel was excellent.

Generally had no complaints about the property. Only issue during our stay was that the plaza that the hotel is facing was under construction.

Great stay in Zurich

The location is great 😊 right in the middle of old town facing water. Service was excellent. Unfortunately, it rain every day, so o could not use roof top but on the 1 floor restaurant I had drinks and they were good.Also had the best chocolate cake and I don’t usually order chocolate cakes because I feel they usually are too heavy and too sweet but not this one. It was excellent.

The size of the room was pretty small, the ceiling was low I felt like I was in the attic. The bed was not comfortable. I think it was 2 beds pushed together and was very difficult to sleep because it was definitely uneven.

Only had breakfast one morning as couldn't cancel it after booking had been paid for so what I had was ok.

Unable to cancel breakfast as it was part of the booking which I didnt think was clear at the time and as I had paid for it all prior to travelling once I arrived I was told I couldn't cancel and get it refunded which I was disappointed about as wanted to try the local places for breakfast/brunch. So I paid for 3 breakfasts but only had one on my last morning.

Beautiful hotel, great bar, stunning location on the water, excellent service/stafff.

The breakfast was good, I did not order the buffet, just a la carte. Oatmeal was well prepared and tasty. Good coffee.

More choices such as bread basket, yogurt parfaits with fresh fruit, omelettes.
