Small room, but overall nice stay

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Location is great too. Close to the train station, and right next to a bus station that provided easy access to all the places I wanted to go.

Room is extremely small. As a solo travel is wasn't too bas but since I had a big suitcase it felt a little tight. The hot water in the room was a little of an issue - they never really got to a really hot temperature. One evening the water was barely warm - after talking to reception I was told that "they're turning the water heater on now". After 15-20 minutes it was better but it seems odd that that's how the hot water system works there in winter, feels issue-prone.

I would have Iiked a fridge in the room. Not a big deal but when travelling for may weeks always good to have a fridge. There was a communal one in the lounge area.

It’s a pretty hotel and front desk people were very nice.

A weekend in Zurich

The hotel is very beautiful and it is in a very nice location near to restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and modern. The breakfast was delicious with fresh croissants and bread. The staff was very nice and helpful. They kindly gave me a glass of prosecco as a welcome drink. There is a sink with drinking water on the floor where the rooms are located. Also there is a comfortable couch near the reception area where you can relax having a free cup of tea or coffee.

Sufficient stay for a family for a short stopover in Zurich.

Central and walkable to River, restaurants, and shops. Pleasant staff. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was sufficient. Safe with locked access to building entrance.

Felt more like a 3 star property than a 4. Cracks in the walls, cold rooms, thin walls, lack of privacy from our window, and lack of colorful decor.

-Beautiful hotel in excellent historic centre location (far better than any location off Bahnhofstrasse!) -Clean, modern design in rooms, nice bathrooms -Beds very comfortable (although the king bed we had was two twins pushed together with a valley in between)

Centralized location

WiFi was patchy and we had to re-log in often on the same device. Toilet bowl was in a small separate room from the wash basin and shower cubicle. Room had only one window which was totally different from pictures.

No chain or deadbolt inside rooms. My door also did not lock from outside (batteries broken).

The location is very nice and the staff were super kind and helpful.

As a female traveling alone I would absolutely not recommend this place. The doors, like most hotels, have a keycard to enter the room. However, once inside the room, the electronic door lock gives no indication it is locked. There are also no deadbolts or chains for the door. When I left my room my door did not lock. I was able to freely open it over and over without a keycard. This is terrifying to sleep this way as a woman. The staff though were very responsive and super kind. They came up, looked at the door and agreed the door had malfunctioned. They offered to replace the batteries, however, I decided to cancel my reservation and book elsewhere. The issue was that even if they changed the batteries, even if they say it's never happened, if there is literally no way to confirm the door is locked from the inside this is very risky to sleep here for anyone, but especially a woman traveling on her own.

I booked a single room. At the check-in I was offered a double room free of charge, which was lovely. Spacious room, with a giant bed. Really enjoyed my stay. They offer a glass of champagne to guests at the reception as well.

Welcoming hotel with all the modern day conveniences

The staff were exceptional - nothing was too difficult and they were available 24/7. Rooms were well equipped and very functional. Great beds - super comfy. The location was great - close to train station but in Old Town which was lovely for sight seeing.

Would have been nice to have a stool or bench to put my suitcase on.

The location is superb and the hotel is very clean. My room was on the 4th floor and it was very quiet.

The free wifi is a joke. It did not work with the sms function and the reception was reluctant to give voucher. At the end I got a voucher, from another member of staff. The AC in the room was very efficient and as the fan was directed onto the bed, I caught a bad cold. The temperature could be regulated, but not the fan speed, which was very high. Without the AC the room was pretty stuffy. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Not many healthy options in the buffet.

The only good thing about this place was its location and the bar.

Right from the beginning, we were given a small double room even though we had paid extra for a large one. When we spoke to the receptionist, she explained that the hotel has rooms of different sizes — something we already knew, since we had specifically paid extra for a larger room. Even after we explained that we had been downgraded despite paying for the upgrade, she never apologised and instead moved us to another room (302), where the floor was so uneven that it felt like we were being punished for asking for the room we had booked. We told the receptionist that it was unfair to pay over £300 per night (without breakfast) and be given a room that should not even be sold to customers. We did not receive any apology or partial refund for the extra money we paid for the larger room. When we asked again about our original booking, the receptionist told us the room was not available — even though we had booked well in advance. The towels were so overused that they were paper thin and ripped around the edges. There was no minibar or fridge in the room, and instead we were only allowed to use the staff fridge, which was kept locked at reception, along with the coffee machine. Every time I wanted to store something in the fridge or make a coffee, I had to go down to reception and use it there. This felt more like staying in budget accommodation than in the 4-star hotel that had been advertised. Although the towels were changed every morning, the room itself was not cleaned at all during our four-day stay. In the end, we stopped asking questions because we felt so unwelcome — as if we had done something wrong by asking for the room we paid for but never received.

A charming hotel in the heart of Zurich. A wonderful experience.

A charming hotel with exceptional staff in the centrally located and yet peacefully quiet. The entire experience was wonderful. The cutest room, clean, and super comfortable bed, and friendly staff. I loved the fresh drinking water station on each floor. There are so many nice and thoughtful touches that creates this happy place. I highly recommend this hotel and its staff.

I really liked the location. My room was also great.

My father's room has a weird slope in the floor, which nobody told us about in advance. I also would appreciate some other areas to hang out other than the room itself. The reception area and the 'library' were not very inviting to hang out. I also did not like the breakfast area - mostly high chairs that are not great for older people (my father was 80).
