Rooms and the general atmosphere is really good.Convenient location.

Doors of the bathroom are sliding but not practical.When they got into the wall it is hard to pull them out.

Exceptional Service and Comfort

The staff and location were exceptional, as were the breakfast options. The room was also very comfortable. We were there in winter but it would be amazing in summer, as it's directly across the street from one of Lake Zurich's most iconic swimming spots.

Our only complaint was a lack of brighter lighting in the room, especially in the bathroom. There was a great extra mirror with lightning for makeup or shaving, but even that was too dim. The dim light was calming, but not good for getting ready.

Expensive stay but good stay nonetheless

The staff were lovely, mostly the chef was very engaging and offered tasters from the kitchen. Also loved the reception staff including the elderly gentleman who would assist with bags and queries

Roadworks make the entrance look so cheap! Also breakfast staff aren’t as nice as dinner staff

Pleasant stay but price isn't right

Good breakfast, clean, very good location, right next to the Christmas market. Rooms are nice, bit dated but still very modern and clean.

Even though its a nice hotel, its not priced correctly, its not a 500chf a night hotel. I would say it should be around 300chf per night compared with the rest in this range. On booking its listed as it has parking, but it doesn't have its own parking, there is a parking nearby that's all. There are road works in front of the hotel along the whole street which means you cannot pull up directly to the hotel, you need to park your car in the carpark close by. A porter did come and help which is a bonus point but at 500chf I expect this standard. Maybe in the summer its worth this when there are no road works and its right by the lake but currently its not nice and I think this should have been reflected on the price, you cannot charge top and give very little. Its a normal standard good hotel, nothing special.

A real treat with a great location

We were in Zurich for our Mini Moon. The staff made sure we were welcome for a lovely Mini Moon treat and were very helpful and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. The location is great as its right by the lake. Overall we were very happy with this hotel.

Perhaps the TV channels can be made easier to setup as we arrived when it rained so wanted to watch Netflix as we were tired. However the staff helped connect it for us. Otherwise everything else was great.

An excellent stay all round

The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. From the housekeeping staff to the front of house, the staff were extremely friendly.

Nothing that we didn't like but a hotel swimming pool would have been beneficial as we were a bit unlucky with the weather. Torrential rain for a couple of days.

Lovely place

Breakfast is great, but one of the coffee machines was not heating the milk up and the waiter looked at me as if I was talking nonsense when I mentioned this.

It needs a refresh, it is in a 90's art deco style and the corridors and the rooms need updating

An OK hotel.

Location is a nice leisurely walk alongside tie lake into town. There’s a really nice swimming club directly opposite the hotel. But at the minute the area is all torn up with roadworks. The night manager is a lovely kind man.

Wonderful stay at the Ameron!

Beautiful hotel on the lake! the location was perfect - walking distance to the walking paths around the lake and to many restaurants and shops in the area. The breakfast was outstanding! wonderful selection and the restaurant itself was very inviting and beautifully designed. I would like to give special thanks to all the front desk staff who were always helpful and even gave us an amazing upgrade to our room when we returned for the second part of our trip. We were given the junior suite lake view - we seriously didn't want to leave - it was perfect! Also, thanks to the lovely bellboy - he was always quick to help with anything we needed, absolutely wonderful service all around! We will definitely return on our next trip to Zurich!

The hotel, the location, the staff were high quality. A 'suggestion' would be to spruce up the bar & restaurant etc. as it doesn't really attract people (too Swiss :))

Very comfortable and well appointed rooms with beautiful outlook

We booked a comfort double room (level 3) which was spacious and very comfortable with a partial view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable for Europe standards (they’re normally way too firm for me), and there was a coffee machine with cream, blackout curtains etc. overall we were very comfortable. The bar and restaurant area is well designed.

Obviously it’s Switzerland so take it with a grain of salt but a little pricey. Other than that it was great.

Boutique-sized hotel well-positioned on the water with a nice view. The room is spacious and comfortable.

The heater was on and was unable to turn off. Had to keep the balcony door open for some air, which meant noise from the street.

Location! Very clean room and spacious Room 304 and Room 308 both on Lake view. Free minibar (I know it’s free but selection could be more curated) Beautiful breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff at the front desk.

Beautiful Zurich Hotel

Good location by the lake, with an amazing view from the room. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, equipped with everything necessary, including bowls and a bed for the dog, if necessary.

100CHF/night was blocked from our card for each room as a deposit, the amount we were not informed about before arriving at the hotel to check-in. I would suggest that information be sent on message on Booking.com at the time of booking confirmation regarding this aspect so you know what to expect. The balconies are very small.
