Reasonable Stay for one night

Reasonable Stay and Great Features The room's decor was pleasant and inviting, creating a nice atmosphere. While the space was slightly compact for two people managing two large bags, the quality of the bed was excellent, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep. The power shower was a great feature, offering a nice, refreshing experience. A major advantage of this hotel is the convenient parking option available directly within the complex, which added a welcome layer of ease and practicality to our stay.

Heat and Privacy Conflict Our room placement created a significant and uncomfortable conflict between privacy and ventilation. Our window faced directly onto an opposite office block, meaning privacy was severely limited unless the curtains or blinds were fully closed. Uncomfortable Room Temperature Compounding this was the fact that the room was uncomfortably hot (unusually so, requiring intervention). To get any relief from the heat, we had to sleep with the window open, which unfortunately meant sacrificing all privacy by keeping the curtains and blinds open as well. This forced trade-off between comfort, ventilation, and privacy was highly inconvenient. Had our stay been longer than a single night, we certainly would have been compelled to request a room change due to this issue.

greart for a short stay of one or two nights on a business trip alone.

location is great, rooms are nice and design is nice but a little small. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.

No air conditioning, recommend you do not stay here in hot summer days. A nespresso machine would be welcome as would a selection of pillows. Only one pillow in the bedroom.

Staff - fabulous. Clean environment with functional design. Bed - very comfortable mattress, soft sheets. Good attention to practical needs in room; well equipped.

No air conditioning. Room 404 was unbearably hot, despite the use of fans to cool environment.

The location was brilliant.

Unfortunately I didn't have a very nice experience with one of the breakfast staff. She was quite officious and reprimanded me like a child while I was waiting to refill my cup with coffee. She could see I was waiting behind a gentleman who was at the beverage machine. As soon as he had finished she promptly started to tell me off stating they close at 10.00 and continued to verbally tell me off. It was 10.01 by the time I stood to refill. She did not speak to the gentleman in that way and I can only assume that this was ageist and sex discriminatory. I did report the incident to FOH and I was offered an apology. The experience did upset me and it wasn't pleasant, I sincerely hope that this doesn't happen to other guests as it was all very unnecessary.

Nice hotel in good location. Choose Hotel Opera if you need air conditioning.

Beautiful clean hotel. Alex on reception was incredibly helpful. Able to park the car right outside. A two hour limit but after 8pm it was free until the morning, when you could do two more hours. Good location close to the river and a good walk into town.

Unfortunately we didn’t realise it didn’t have air conditioning and even though there were two fans in our room it was still incredibly hot, so didn’t sleep well. 😢

overall my stay was good and I enjoyed it.

I liked the location, bed, and the staff. The bed is comfortable, and mattress is so clean, and the bathroom is okay.

The bedroom is not clean enough; it feels suffocating, despite the presence of two ventilators. There is dust on the wall, windows, heaters, and other things hanging on the wall. The corridor to the room was also suffocating a lot.

No AC in Zurich summer!

Well located and had a comfortable bed.

They were remodeling the lobby area, sort of messy. No AC in summer time. Terrible, and they didn’t mention it at reservation time. No direct connection with services or concierge through phone… you were required to go downstairs turn the corner and get to their “partner hotel - Opera” and make your request. Then the staff was very helpful.

Nice hotel near lake

The hotel is an excellent location in Zurich, very close to the lake and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of foods. We got champagne on the 2nd morning with breakfast which was fantastic ! The staff were friendly.

There was building work taking place nearby and we were not informed in advance. We woke up to the sound of drilling The hotel also did not respond to messages requesting advice on how best to get there from the centre prior to the stay.

Disappointing

I liked the comfort and location.

There was construction all over the hotel which was not mentioned during reservation and still was charged quite high amount of money. There were plastic covers on the floors and construction workers coming out of here and there. The worst was that they started construction and thus the noise at 7am!
