Close to the main train station

* Noisy - our room was right next to a tram stop, sounded like a plane taking off every time a tram departed. * Stocks of coffee were not replenished/room wasn’t serviced one day. * Shower gel completely ran out and wasn’t replaced.

Very good hotel and good value for business trip

Close to train station, amenities in the bathroom are good and there are slippers, quite rare nowadays in Switzerland. Room size is bigger than usual.

Top hotel in a prime location!

Extremely atmospheric hotel in a prime location! Very professional staff, a perfect and extensive breakfast buffet, spacious rooms with wonderfully large beds — we truly enjoyed our stay!

1) Excellent location - short walk from the station and near restaurants, convenience stores etc. 2) Checkin was very smooth - pleasant staff. 3) Rooms are decently sized. 4) Comfortable bed.

1) The room carpet did not feel clean - had some stains on it. 2) Found two badly stained towels in the bathroom. 3) There was no staff at the reception for check out around 5:30 am. The reception floor was completely empty and hotel doors open.

I was well rested at the Hotel. Enjoyed walking, shopping bec it was easy to get back to the hotel.

Location…very accessible to everything Room..bright clean..we were in 2nd floor so rooms are newer than 4th where my friend stayed. Breakfast…good.

Bathroom is a little dated but clean. Had to open windows bec no air conditioning. But good it was breezy so room cooled.

Outstanding Stay and a wonderful experience

Located centrally, next to the Station, right on the main avenue for shopping. Amazing staff response, meeting our additional requirements, ensuring early breakfast on request, and wonderful experience

Way too expensive for what you get

The staff was friendly and the room was ok

The air condition did not work and the room was very hot. The fridge also did not work, so it was useless. When I complained they said the technicians were working on the A/C. The staff provided a useless fan in the room. The staff did nothing about the fridge although I complained 3 times

St. Goddard July 2025

The St . Goddard is an amazing hotel right near the central train station. I have stayed here many times, it would be nice if somehow they had a record of the fact that I am a frequent guest at their hotel and somehow act accordingly, but nevertheless it is a great place to stay. Rooms are immaculate, beds are like sleeping on a cloud, staff is amazing, and breakfast is great. I can not say enough about the St. Goddard.

Good stay with a few challenges

Clean Good location

While our stay had some positive aspects, there were a few challenges we encountered that are worth mentioning. On the positive side, the hotel was clean and the service was very good. Staff were helpful and polite throughout our stay, which we appreciated. However, accessibility was an issue in certain areas. For instance, there were stairs leading up to the hotel entrance, which made it quite difficult to enter with a baby and stroller. We faced a similar problem with our room—although there was an elevator, there were additional stairs between the lift and the room itself. Another concern was that the room door could not be locked from the inside. As we were traveling with a baby, this was an important safety feature that we felt was missing. Additionally, the design of the bathroom made showering quite inconvenient. There was no proper barrier or partition to contain the water, so the entire bathroom floor would become wet after each use. We hope the management will consider these points for future improvements, as the cleanliness and quality of service were otherwise commendable.

Excellent stay, perfect location - would recommend

Perfect location. Lovely hotel, good service. We had a problem with the room and they were fantastic handling this - we were upgraded to a suite so we had the best time and loved every minute. Thank you, Joao, for handling this professionally, friendly and upgrading us. I would stay here again for the location and atmosphere.

Can't complain about anything Shower wasn't working in our first room but they handled it really well and we felt well taken care of.

The hotel was in a great location.

We had breakfast one morning. Staff not helpful and actual breakfast was not satisfactory. We told front desk staff when we booked out. Front desk staff very helpful

A beautiful city and a wonderful location. Would like to visit again soon.

We had a comfortable room with a view, breakfast was good, sufficient. Staff in the breakfast room were unfriendly. The bathrooms were a little dated, in need of an upgrade.

We tried to book a private tour with one of the staff at reception, who was unable to assist.

It was a memorable stay, very nice.

The clima anlage did not work, and this caused the room to be 27.2 gr, the next morning a technici looked and a add. fan was provided, the 2nd night there was no difference the temp went up to 28.2 gr. A room change was the solution and we were in luck and our new room was the junior suite. Amazing.

The price is on the high side. Yes it is city centre and close to the railway station but I cant close my eyes, comparing it to other hotels (newer) there is a difference from about CHF250 per night.

Great place in the heart of Zurich

The hotel has Perfect location. It’s 2 min walking from Zurich HB and very well connected for city sightseeing as well. There are many excursions in the city and all are easily accessible. The staff is super friendly and very supportive. The breakfast has vast range from european perspective. House keeping is very helpful and prompt as well when required to cater any support.

I have a wonderful 3-night stay at Hotel St. Gotthard during my vacation in Zurich.

I like the location because of its proximity to Zurich main train station, and within walking distance to the old town and tourist attractions. Hotel breakfast has good selections of tasty food and drink items.

I would like to have face cloth and kettle in the room. The dark colored carpet in the guest room looks old and not clean.
