I have to say the temperature in the room could have been better especially when it is winter.

Breakfast was OK. The hot food could have b a little hotter and tea was cold. I just don't think the breakfast was just as good as previous stays.

ALways a good experience

I always come back to this property as the team really do their best to make my stay really pleasant. They are also very non-judgemental when it comes to gay couples as guests. It isn't the case a lot of times unfortunately

Staff at reception were nice and the room size was spacious. Good location.

*I am not a Karen* While eating in the hotel restaurant after waiting for about 20mins for the cocktail I ordered I was told they weren’t serving them as they were so busy in the bar. I was polite and asked for a Guinness instead. The waitress came back after a long wait and said they couldn’t serve me a Guinness but they were working on the cocktail after all. Had finished my food by this stage. Another 10minutes went by and she came back and said they were so busy they weren’t serving alcoholic drinks in the restaurant as they had so many parties in. Upon walking out of the restaurant I seen the same waitress offering another table a cocktail menu and they were ordering espresso martinis. As someone who has paid an (overpriced) overnight stay in the hotel I think this was really unfair. Who stays at a hotel and is refused alcohol with their meal because the bar is busy hosting parties with people who are probably not even staying in the hotel. Also the WiFi in room 80 was off and on constantly so avoid staying in this room, unsure about the other rooms for WiFi connection.

The room was lovely. Some of the lights didn't work. We had dinner and it was lovely. We went into the bar and there was an entertainer but she finished up at 10.30pm. Last orders was 11pm so it would've been nice if she'd played on until then. We used the pool area. The pool was lovely but the steam room wasn't working. The sauna was fine.

Steam room wasn't working. Needed maintenance work done on it. Two of our lamps in the room didn't work.

Waiting staff did not listen and brought the wrong beverages. On checkout they tried to overcharge by more than £100 and we had to wait 20 minutes until someone who knew how to use the computer came in. They blamed the computer!!!

A 5 star stay at La Mon hotel!

The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and accomodating, we had a rough 24 hours in the lead up to our stay, they allowed us to have a complimentary late checkout and they were so so helpful with anything we needed. The dinner was fabulous, we both ordered the steak and it was perfect! Again, the staff were lovely and they had a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages which was nice seeing as I am pregnant and can't drink! Overall we had a brilliant stay and will definetely be back!

The only slight critisim we had was that the room was a little bit too warm for my liking but it wasn't unbearable and I still managed to have a great nights sleep so it wasn't an issue. The room itself was lovely, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay, great staff, great hotel

Attended for a function on Saturday night and found that the staff were friendly and always willing to assist. Extremely professional. Hotel itself has a warm presentation and the fire in the foyer is a lovely touch. Rooms were clean, bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Will stay again.

The reception staff were really helpful and they seemed under pressure.

Service was poor at best and the laundry service was shocking despite asking via email before we checked in. It was not taken from the room and when eventually ready, some items had been packed while still damp

Friendly helpful staff. Scrumptious breakfast. Quiet location. Bistro restaurant excellent for evening meals after a busy day sight seeing. Next time we hope to relax in the beautiful Spa pool. Proximity to Belfast without the City roads and noise.

Lovely little stay with my son

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. We received a free room upgrade on arrival and were able to check in early also at no extra cost. The receptionist also gave my son an Easter egg and allowed him access to the bouncy castle they had on site for the Easter holidays. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable with everything needed for our stay. We visited the swimming pool while there also which wasn't too overcrowded, and the hotel provides towels for guests to use here. The service and standard of food in the restaurant were as exceptional as always and again, and again is good value for money. There are loads of options for breakfast in the mornings as well. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff who go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful at all times. There is also loads of on site parking too.

Okay stay but definitely some down points.

-Front desk staff were so lovely. -Country club staff were lovely. -Waiters were lovely. -Breakfast staff were so lovely and were brilliant with our baby daughter.

We were asked when we checked in when we wanted dinner. 530pm. Lady at reception told us where the restaurant was. Went to the restaurant at 530pm and it was shut. Went to the bistro bit as no one was on reception. Explained to manager in bistro what happened and he proceeded just to walk off. Came back 5m later and showed us to a table there with no explanation. Bistro manager seemed very fed up. Dragged his feet when walking. Tables weren't cleared after people left. People were getting the wrong orders. My husband ordered buffalo wings for starters and when they arrived he asked the waiter if they were BBQ as they didn't look like buffalo. Waiter went to check in kitchen, he came back and said the chef had told him the menu had changed and they were BBQ because they had no buffalo sauce left... I ordered steak which was okay but the chips had a lot of brown bits in them and the onion rings were just frozen ones heated up. We had dinner and nobody came to ask if we wanted dessert or if we'd like another drink or if everything was okay. Very disappointed.

Excellent facilities and quiet setting

The reception staff on arrival were friendly and helpful and took an interest in our evening when we returned from the theatre. Staff at dinner and breakfast were efficient and on hand for whatever people needed. The breakfast room was well spread out and there was an excellent range of hot and cold items on offer.

The TV wouldn’t work in our room.

I paid with card , money was taken out then put back in , arrived an had to pay in front of my new gf which left me feeling awkward , the room was nice , but no view, but main thing it was really really noisey , noise of the heating mainly plus cud hear ppl outside th door , so we didn't get much sleep ,also fan switch in the bathroom is on th roof which is silly , dinner was nice but wasn't much to choice from , bacon at breakfast need to b cooked more but rest was good, was really disappointed at noise in room as we went there to get a break from th kids but couldn't sleep ,

The room was spacious. Breakfast was good. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and really appreciated our request for late checkout being granted. Shame we did not see this staff member the remainder of our stay. The bottled water and complimentary biscuits and teabags were appreciated. The reception hall was decorated beautifully and smelled so fresh when we left. Possibly for the wedding celebrations but the flowers in basket on the bike were lovely.

The pool area could do with a revamp. The tiles near the jacuzzi were black - quite off-putting. The rails near the loungers were wobbly when I leaned for support. The changing area showers need some attention. The curtains were hanging off in the cubicles. The soap dispenser was missing, and in another, it was empty. We were supposedly in a premier room, the size was comfortable but the bed was quite dipped in the centre, not particularly comfortable. The bedroom windows were not clean inside, the net curtains mildewed in the corner, and one of the handles on the window was broken. On departure, we were completely ignored. The reception staff was too busy talking with a colleague. My young son handed over the key cards and said we are going home now. He repeated this three times before getting a brief reaction and goodbye. The staff then returned to their chat! This was the most annoying thing, actually, which has now led me to bring up the afore issues. I did not bring these things to the attention of the staff while we were there, as I just wanted to enjoy the short time we had there. If our room was supposed to be premier, I am certainly glad I did not book the standard room. Overall, it turned out to be a disappointing visit. Not value for money.
