Perfect location for our short ski trip.

Very clean, well maintained, friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast.

An unforgettable stay—we felt like family!

My wife and I stayed at Grindellodge for 4 nights, and we could not be happier with our experience. It was truly awesome from start to finish. The interior design is unique and delightful, featuring Japanese-inspired furniture and homely colors that make the space feel warm and inviting. On the practical side, the room was perfect. There was an excess of storage and plenty of places to hang our belongings, something we always miss in hotels. We also appreciated the thoughtful accessibility settings on the TV, which worked exactly as they should. The room even had its own heaters that made the space incredibly cozy. I ended up oversleeping more than once, wrapped in warmth like I was in a soft cocoon. Breakfast was another highlight. They kindly adjusted it to accommodate our needs and served it with such care that it genuinely felt personal. Everything in the lodge carries that same feeling. The whole place is clearly set with love and attention, and you feel it in every detail. We loved the calm location and spending time on the balcony soaking in the beautiful views. As a side note, I found myself treating the lodge as if it were my own home, because that is how safe, comfortable, and naturally welcoming it felt. But above all, the staff made our stay unforgettable. They were so sweet and treated us like family throughout our visit. It was a genuine, heartwarming experience. We highly recommend Grindellodge and can’t wait to return.

Beautifully renovated property. Rooms had everything you require for a great stay. Exceptionally clean and super comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and really helpful. Being able to launder our clothes was a huge bonus. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of options.

This is by far the best hotel myself and my wife have ever stayed in. The retro look from the outside but the modern style and cleanliness of the inside is just something the accommodation gets perfect! The buffet breakfast has a great variety and tastes of quality. We also had balcony views which was fantastic. The facilities of the bedroom and bathroom were always kept clean and tidy. The reception staff were friendly and always available for assistance and general conversation which had a personal touch. I could keep writing about how perfect this was but will definitely return if in the area again and recommend highly to anyone!

Although this may appear pricey or expensive was definitely worth its money for value!

Fair accommodations in a touristy town with a Japanese decor

Clean, and friendly staff with a good breakfast buffet. Hotel offers a washer and dryer which guests can use for free.

Room size is small with minimal storage space. For some guests, the hotel is not in walking distance from Grindelwald station; to walk would take about 20 minutes or more uphill. To make up for this, there is a regularly scheduled bus which stops in front of the hotel from the morning to about 6:45 pm. Hotel does not offer a microwave which could be good for those days when you want to purchase food from the Co-op rather than eating in a local overpriced restaurant.

The vast array of breakfast offerings was impressive...and quite tasty! Room was clean, attractive, and functional. Surroundings were very quiet. Nice escape from the activity in town. Staff was awesome.

Since the buses don't run past 6pm, we had to use the hotel's taxi service twice. I was surprised how expensive it was given the short drive between the hotel and the town.

One of the most incredible views and amazing hotel

This accomodation was INCREDIBLE! Although it is at the top of the hill you can usually catch the bus back up if you don’t have a car. The staff were so friendly asking us about our day and providing us with all the details to support us on our holiday. I would stay there again 10/10

All new and well architected accommodation with attention to details

Is a new property so all facilities are in very good condition. The location is nice due to being a little away from the village center agitation but still 20 min walk. You get free bus tickets and the stop is just in front of the hotel. The accommodation has stunning views. They have rituals products and all smells super clean at all time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and you have a great nespreaso machine in the room! There is a Japanese restaurant on site as well.

The parking is limited and the ongoing conversation about the limited space makes the topic uncomfortable. I personally think if managed it can fit all necessary cars.

Eine Küchenzeile im Zimmer ohne einen einzigen Teller, Löffel , Gabel etc. - wozu dann die Küchenschränke? Für jemanden, der zum Frühstück nur Süßes isst, eine einzige Marmelade eine Woche lang !? 1- ضيق الغرفه. 2- التكييف كان مفاجأة يعمل في الصيف فقط!. 3- عند فتح النافذة لدخول الهواء ، هناك اضاءة مزعجه تشتغل في وسط الغرفة. 4- كنت في غرفة 307 وعند الاستحمام ، الماء يخرج الى وسط الغرفة. 5- بعيد نوعاً ما عن الانشطة الترفيهيه.
