Brilliant!

food was great, hotel & rooms splendid! staff was super friendly. Very close to the ski lift. Sauna, swimming pool ... facilities were top!

We missed pancakes for breakfast, but that's all ;-)

Great holiday hotel

The staff was helpful. The property is located about 10mins walk away from the train station. Free gift when we depart. Room facing the mountain is fantastic comes with balcony. Room space good for 3 pax ( + extra bed) breakfast adequate. Hotel provides porter services from the train station.

Excellent views, staff, proximity to activities/shops, and breakfast. Fabulous stay!

The view was really wonderful from the bedroom to the mountains and the balcony to the mountains. It was also really nice to sit in the chair and read and be able to look up to the mountain view. We appreciated the recommendations for the activities and the ability to buy tickets at the hotel. The breakfast was also very good and thank you for having gluten free bread available upon request.

We did not like the glass window from the bathroom through to the bedroom. We realize that some people do like the mountain view while showering, etc.; however, it would be nice for those who prefer more privacy to have the option to put down a drape (even on the bedroom side so you don't have to deal with water issues). Also, in the room we had with 3 beds, it would have been nice to have a chair or two as well, so that you could sit on something other than the bed if you would like to. Thank you.

Relaxing ,full of adventure and fun

The location and view were excellent and we enjoyed the veranda outside our room. Breakfast and Dinner were well presented and delicious . The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn’t have done more to make our trip more enjoyable.

Everything. Great location with great view of the mountains. Great breakfast and very good dinner. Very good jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool. The staff is freindly and helpful.

Would stay here again without hestitation.

Location is right where you want to be with everything within a short walk - downtown, train station, bus stop steps away, even the gondola to Grindelwald First is right around the corner. The property has a little climb from the main street, but that gives you excellent views from the balcony. Outstanding breakfast.

Grindelwald Summer Vacay

The location, breakfast, and staff were great. We could walk to many restaurants and shops.

There was no air conditioning in the hotel. We were there at the end of June, and it was very warm. The rooms were only cooled by opening the windows.

Beautiful hotel, great location, but no a/c

The hotel was nice. I liked the outside patio and flowers. The rooms were nicely decorated. The pool was nice too. The breakfast was delicious. Staff were very helpful.

No a/c. We were in room 480 on top floor and it was so very hot. The staff did deliver a fan but it didn’t help much. We opened windows but occasional bugs would get in. Don’t go in hot months unless you are okay with no a/c.

Fantastic facilities, hospitality and location

Everything about our stay here was perfect - the location (5 min walk from cable cars to both First and Pfingsteggbhan, and restaurants), facilities, hospitality and GF food options. The complimentary toiletries were a lovely touch too. Would definitely recommend, and would return.

Location was spectacular. Even the view from spa and swimming pool was great. Comfortable beds with lots of shelves for storage.

Breakfast was limited. All we could have was coffee and croissant every day and it got boring after a while.

The hotel provides free transfers from train station v.v. Location is quite strategic with walking distance to bus/train station, supermarket and restaurants. Grindelwald First cable car station just within 3-5 minutes walks. Breakfast was really good - the Lady serving at restaurant was super friendly.

The management needs a lesson in hospitality!!

The breakfast was decent though it's the same thing every single day which is annoying for a 4 night stay

The supervisor behind the front desk talking over the second miss informed employee telling us we could add the dinner for the same price as long as we decided at checkin stating it's DOUBLE kinda makes you feel like you're In mexico everyone seems to want to cheat you! Emailed the main general manager as well as booking.com noone did anything. She can choke on her double charged dinner. In America they would say I'm so sorry for the misinformation that you received and here again as my colleague was mistaken. Allow us to give you that same advertised price that we told you yesterday on the phone and that we clearly told you here again today or hell even say allow us to buy you dinner tonight but the rest of the time it would be the 40 instead of the 20 she was the nastiest most rude person I've ever met in the hospitality industry and I've been to 35 countries. Set the tone for the entire experience when someone acts like this in the first 3 minutes of walking into what's supposed to be a luxury hotel every time I walked by that desk you just feel disgusted. The beds don't get me started I'm sorry but I shouldn't feel like I'm rolling off a cliff into a ravine because they have two twin beds pushed together and they've never heard of a queen bed here in Switzerland. It's very simple fix. It's called a mattress topper I felt like I was sleeping in a college dorm all over again

There was absolutely nothing that I did not like about the property. The staff throughout my stay were super attentive, and the dinner each night was lovely. The location is perfect, and I look forward to staying here again.
