Good stay, good location and great service

Loved the chalet number 3 serviced apartment - good location and walking distance to Grindelwald center. Parking is just below the serviced apartments and the main hotel is a short walk up the hill. Kids loved the chalet style and mezzanine roof play area. Kitchen and balcony area were bonuses. Large and spacious, can sleep 5. Breakfast in the main hotel was good.

The uphill climb to get to the apartment. it was great to be picked up and dropped off by shuttle at check-in and check-out, but at other times it was quite tiring to walk uphill. Otherwise great staff and great value.

Too expensive

Nice view to the mountain.

It's too expensive for the level of quality and service. It was room in a separate building, 500 m from the main building (we walked everyday for the breakfast). Building is located near the main road. Room is located next to the laundry room with the specific smell. Renovation is needed. Spiders were in the bathroom, cockroach were in the kitchen. It's awful and impossible for such a high price.

Spacious apartment , clean and fully equipped kitchen with large balcony and stunningly beautiful views around. Private garage parking.Very good breakfast. They serve cakes and deserts at 4:00 pm every day.

No AC . But the area have pleasant weather, I suggest to provide fans.

the customer service was very disappointing in the restaurant

nice location

horrible customer service from the restaurant , the staff (Esther so on the name tag) she was extremely rude to our whole family and also lying to our face, despite we were the first one arrive to the restaurant for breakfast, she made us sit in the corner and refuse to change our seats(there were NO one in the restaurant) and the attitude was horrible from her annoyed facial expressions/rude reply as well as body language…the hotel is also named 4 star and not cheap at all and as a customer I expect basic level of service: respect to people! if you can’t apply basic manner to your customer maybe you shouldn’t be in this customer service industry.

The room space is quite big, the view outside of window is stunning, and breakfast is good as well especially fresh butter and croissants.

Everything else is great except the payment

Everything else is good, the room, the service, the staff, the environment, all great.

But the hotel needs to have a better arrangement with Booking in terms of payment. Booking took the full amount payment before we checked in, yet we were charged again when we checked out. We were told that we'll be refund our 'deposit' (the full amount payment), yet that's not automatic. After contacting customer service at Booking, we were told we will be refund eventually. However, we're still waiting for our money while we checked out of the hotel almost one month ago. Not sure whether this happened to other people, and can't believe a better arrangement can't be achieved. Customers shouldn't be expected to go through all the hassle just to settle the payment. Update on 25th November: We've checked out in August, yet, after three months of waiting, we still didn't get our money back. Tried to contact the hotel several times, and was given contradictory messages; contacted my bank, and still waiting... Very disappointed. Not worth so much trouble at all! Hotel could have tried to solve this more actively as well, but very few help so far...

Superb views from the apartment balcony, end to end.

This location has great panoramic views of the mountains in front. Also the views from the restaurant is excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast as well as cake in the evening. Also the hotel has a EV plug point which was very helpful for us to charge our Tesla Model 3. As a plus, our well behaved dog was welcome at the apartment and at the outside seating areas of the restaurant. We got discount ticket for the First cable car as well free use of city bus within city limits.

If there would be a schedule or time-table of when the service staff would come to clean the apartment, it would have been helpful for us. There were some parking slots reserved for Kirchbuhl below our apartment building, but we were discouraged from parking there and had to park at the hotel parking lot??? Some fittings at the apartment are a bit tired. Coffee machine is not nespresso type :(

Service of the staff was poor. No telephone in the apartment. For small issues you have to go to the hotel for complaints. Break fast was average. Not much varieties.
