Location

There were no coffee and tea facilities in the room. On arrival the receptionists were slightly irritable. Breakfast was average, the meat option was processed meat only.

Overall value for money rather poor, not recommended if you are traveling with a dog

-central location close to everything u need while in Grindenwald -good breakfasts with fresh products (but every day the same) -parking available -clean room

-they are supposely dogs friendly but dogs are not allowed in the dining area at all (not even in designated table/place), and this policy changed, we were there with our dog in May and we had breakfast while he was calmly sleeping under the table, we were not informed about that qpproach while we made the reservation although I explicitly mentioned we are traveling with a dog, if we knew it we would definately pick another place, they are plenty of more dog friendly places in Grindenwald, -some sfuff not really nice, the lady at the reception who welcomed us asked us to move the car from one side of parking to the other because other cars left too much spaces (seriously? Another idea to deal with this problem would be to maybe mark the parking spaces?), -no kettle in the room, you cannot make yourself tea or coffee, hot water is only available downstairs close to reception, seriously I have never experienced this in any hotel in Switzerland or in Europe, -no small fridge in the room, -very minimal cosmetics available and they are of very poor quality - only a small soap and shower gel, -the room was very small and the air ventilation in the room is not-existent, which makes sleeping there pretty unpleasant, -the hotel and room requires renovation, it's not particularly pretty either.

Wonderful Grindelwald!

Central position, very nice stuff and good breakfast! Clean rooms and nice restaurant in hotel. We stayed in Love room that have a jakuzzi and a big terrace on the first floor, and it was wonderful!

Absolutely loved the location of our hotel-would definitely stay again.

Unbeatable location and views. Totally WoW view from our room and terrace. Only 5 min walk to station and easy walk to all shops, restaurants and lifts and 1 minute to bus stop. We loved being right amongst the main part of town. Our room was a good size. We enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel too.

No/limited aircon so we had to have the door open for air. The street noise was loud very late through the night and into the early morning. Then early morning service vehicle noise.

Great location. 5 min walk from train station. 5 min walk from Grindelwald First ticket office. Clean, comfy beds, hairdryer, towels, not the largest of rooms but sufficient space (double room 2 persons) with the added bonus of a balcony. We had 2nd floor & could view mountain tops but id say the higher floors had even better views. Bath/shower combo...lovely for a soak after long day of hiking. Sauna available (CHF15, per person per use). Hot & cold water taps at reception. Lovely breakfast - cereals, fruit, meats & bread plus scrambled eggs & sausages available. Recommended.

No complaints. It was warm at night & no fan but we had a balcony door to leave open when needed. (We were there at the beginning of Sept)

The single twin room had great lighting, a shelf for my suitcase, a balcony with a wonderful view, friendly reception staff, a terrific location, and a fabulous breakfast.

Great breakfast. Simply but nicely done rooms. The breakfast had a juicer which I loved. Parking right in front was fantastic to have.

Good hotel

The location was perfect. In the centre of Grindelwald. Hotel had parking. Room was really big with balcony and bath.

The hairdryer was very poor and stopped working while using it. The breakfast was a little disappointing.

There was no AC and as it was very hot and humid, we had an unpleasant first night. The room does not have a small coffee machine or a kettle to make some tea. All the hotels I have stayed in Switzerland in this price range, always had these amenities!

Fantastic. Great location. Excellent stay.

We had a great stay. Comfortable beds. Great window view to the mountains. Good breakfast. Staff are very accommodating. Location is perfect. Its just few minutes walk to the Grindewald train station. And can also use the bus when we have large luggage with us. Its only few minutes walk to Grindelwald First station. Pfingstegg and Glacier Canyon also few minutes by bus. There was a Summer Street Party during one of the night of our stay and it was a great time for us. We walked start to end of the street party, the place is so lively with music and kids enjoying street drawings. Lots of option for dining around the area and even the hotel itself have a restaurant at night.

We left the window open one night and unfortunately there are bugs / mosquitoes that came and bit my daughter. But we would still consider staying at this hotel again. My family had an amazing time and this place have good memories for us.

Great hotel in central location

Clean hotel, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Location was great being so central for us (if you want a quieter hotel I’d suggest not booking on the main road!) On Wednesday evenings in July and August there is a street party right outside this hotel, it was great fun with a live band, fantastic evening with great atmosphere

Beautiful view from our balcony and located a short walk from train station. Location was great and breakfast good. Wished we had AC (from USA) about an hour before bed but once we laid down things cooled off and we slept well.

The hotel room was cute, the mattress was the softest of all our hotels in Europe, and the breakfast was really delicious!

room is nice and comfortable. it has everything you need. the hotel does not provide kettle in the room, but they have a hot water station near reception so it is a plus point. it is located near the city centre and First station, so I have no problem with room without view.

all in all it was a nice hotel, great location but the resto ok.

the location was great - in the middle of the village. we had a room w/balcony but due to weather we couldn't enjoy the mountains (we went in march). the bathroom esp. the toilet was exceptional since it was a japanese toilet. the staff was friendly & helpful giving us info about the bus coupons etc....

the breakfast buffet was very limited and there wasn't even a coffee machine; you had to order the coffee. the regular resto menu was limited to swiss specialities.

A classic hotel in a paradise

Breakfast was wonderful. Location is good, it is just on the main street. Not too far from train stations. Room was comfortable and cozy.

I would prefer better furnitures in the room, notably bigger table and more chairs, for dinner in the room.

Room with Great view on great location but mediocre services

View from the balcony. We got superior double room(204), and the view of Eiger from balcony was amazing.

Hotel had no room service, so if you wanted anything to drink or eat, you had to go downstairs and bring yourself(although empty plates were cleaned up by house keeping next morning) . No coffee machine on rooms, which made it really difficult for us as we are heavy coffee drinker. Staffs were really friendly, except one, which I found a bit rude.. But maybe that was because she was handling restaurant alone on Thursday evening.. And it was busy.

the staff was really nice! They helped me a lot when I was not sure which activities I wanted to do, where to hike, etc. They were so friendly! The hotel is situated very nicely, only short walking distances to the cool activities.
